Hi Sam! Thanks for the vid - my driver's light went out as I was on my way home and I swung through a gas station at 9 pm to put my new bulb in and I wouldn't have figured it out without your video!
After watching your perfect instructions, I replaced the bulb on the driver side. I did remove the battery which made it easier for me (a novice) to access the socket, but I can see how it could be done without removing the battery (your method). Just for kicks, I called my Toyota dealership to ask what they would charge to replace the bulb. $25 for labor, $35 for the bulb. I purchased the same bulb at Autozone for $15. You, literally, saved me $45 today. Subscribed for sure. Thank you sir.
Thanks for the help great instructions just want to add when replacing that rubber piece make sure you not covering your 3 prongs the 3 prongs have to go thru the hole it happened to me then I figured out one of my prongs was covered by the rubber piece 😨
A 1999 is exactly the same. Thanx for the info. Glad I looked here first. Still had to remove the batt, holddown (not the batt.) as my fat head and hands didn't fit.
Wish I found this video before the dealership charged me $12 for the headlight bulb and $58 for the labor to replace it! In other news, you the man Sam, keep the Solara Vids coming xD!
Thanks Handyman Sam. You saved me $15 on labor. It was easy to fix both headlights bulb and brake lights bulb. Great video.
