this video made me realize i had no idea how to spell raccoon. turns out there's two Cs?? but autocorrect still accepts one?? wild.
I know i'm 7 months late but the 2 c's spelling of raccoon is the US English version while the 1 c spelling is the UK English version
Graphic wise great game. The ending though left me confused
The ending left me pissed that I wasted all that time for such a horrible ending.
@@Incogneato Yeah wasnt happy with it myself now! was abit rushed
@@Incogneato Very true. First three acts are excellent and beautiful, very well written. Last 2 acts are rushed, only happening in previous location or barely any background (the box/container) and quite... idiotic at times. Really disappointing.
Maybe it's for 3rd game
@@Fox101st so tails Noir is the secend game on that storyline
The visuals are so good, and the music fits the game perfectly.
Wish it would be a bit longer.
I just went through it after waiting like 6 months. Its story leave much to be desired. None of the plot points ever get filled in.
Totally agree, it was a huge letdown, starts off amazingly and then everything is left aside, seems like the later part of the game was rushed.
i agree, but i dont regreat anything
The writing of this game completely falls off during the third act. The stealth and puzzle mechanics are completely forgotten after the prologue. $25 dollars for a game that can be finished in about 4 hours is also a really steep price to pay. Even though there may be many different types of dialogue choices, the outcome ends up being the same, and there are way too many questions left unanswered by the end of the game that it was just disappointing.
So your dialogue doesn't affect the story but rather how it's told, that's interesting
that's a really good way of putting it. you can have a story to tell and still make it feel personal. I think EggNut threaded the needle there well enough. I walked away satisfied.
I already finished the game and I have mixed feelings, I have to say I love the visual part of this game (beautiful!), and the music is great. On the other hand I have an issue with the story, if you finished it then you know what I mean. It's not just where the story goes but it doesn't seem to be the full game they were aiming for, there are things hinted in the trailer that doesn't appear in the game so it makes me think they had to cut the game short for some reason. I still think its a game worth playing but this issue I mentioned was a huge turn off for me.
I'm going to play it, if nothing else than atleast to get some new wallpapers of that beautiful artstyle.
i really appreciate this review, I remember adding this game to my wishlist last year because i thought the art style was gorgeous, and it's great to know that it's not the only thing good about the game
bone with the back in it
If you like Backbone, I'd seriously reccomend Chicken Police. Fully voice acted and with dark jazz music to match
I'm not sure if it's the correct interpretation or lack of planning and time, but I kinda feel like the lack of branching effects from the dialogue is part of the point. The idea that we are set on a track dictated by society and class being the course of the whole plot is interesting to me.
I wasn’t to happy with the ending are there different endings or does it always end the same way?
the game on itself is great: good gameplay, a really good story and somply great characters, it holds much potential.
The problem is, this partially got threw out of the window.
It feels like that presentation you made for school, that you rushed because you hadn't time to finish it. It feels like the developers were just out of time, or money.
The finale is mysterious, which is good, but it left too many questions unanswered. What happens with Eerie, and the apes ? You basically do nothing and get out of the wall cities to die, without any explanation nor any sequel to be seen...
I love Disco Elysium, so I'm gonna have to check that one out for sure
It definitely takes inspiration, but it doesn't manage to live up to it
it's not as unrelenting or as truly free, but it does scratch the itch in some ways. like if disco is bare skin to backscratcher, backbone is your partner scratching an itch over a thick shirt.
This has been the most optimistic review on the game I've seen so far
saw u on steam review
Wonder why they changed the title? Anyway I'm in between this and Blacksad Under the skin. This honestly sounds better though
Thanks for the review, the game is amazing, the dialogue can be nice, and the story is engaging, however after act 4 and the ending, the story left questions unanwsered, but i doubt they'll make a sequel.
Does it has Multiple Endings or it has only one ending?
Despite the variety of choices, it ends on the same conclusion no matter what.
@@yipyip4177 well shit.
damn, while i dont think it would be my kind of game, it looks fucking awesome
I really loved this game. But the ending was way to rush. If they make a sequel it will work but with out one it seems very rushed
God damn that's a pretty game.
I've been looking forward to this game for quite awhile and I'm happy to see that its better then I expected
@Richter No, I expected it to be good but its better then good to me
PLEASE KILL ME THAT ENDING WAS SO SAD
damn this game is beautiful, absolutely love the artstyle of it! Great review as well!
The end of the story is so disapointing :(
For me the price was fine, 20 bucks ain't nothing really. I've spent more money on worse games, and the art is very impressive. But honestly the way it falls apart by the end is a let down, and I was pretty bummed finding out nothing changes after another playthrough even though dialogue was different, mostly because it felt there wasn't any story payoff. I can imagine the world were things were different and it would've blown a lot of people away, but as is does feel like it fell pretty short, which is dissapointing because I'd been waiting to play this for some time
Weird how this didn't pop up in my subscriptions page. Thanks youtube, you almost made me miss out on a fantastic review -_-'
This isn’t dystopian Vancouver, this is normal Vancouver.
Is Vancouver normally populated Exclusively with Furries
Part half game starts off all right but other parts falls apart till end of game total sucks badly and awful too
Furries destroyed my ability to enjoy anthropomorphic settings.
That just sounds like you're doing it to yourself
Sounds like a personal problem.
that's kinda on you, they really don't like like the weird furries
It seems like you're commenting something from your subjectiveness. And I respect that. But, do you know that an anthropomorphic animal is, by definition, a furry too?
