Well thanks for that, I'm outside the Courthouse having sucked the marrow from the bones of this game and I'm wistful that it's about to come to a close so I'm procrastinating by watching vids about it!

Your timing couldn't have been better, finished this banger of a game an hour ago. Great aesthetics and soundtrack, cool characters and a great story to discover and solve. Really appreciated the fact that, as you said, you can choose your own truth and not be limited by what the game wants you to be the truth. Stellar work on this vid 👍

an excellent video for an excellent game, one of the best things I played last year, the world and characters themselves are worth a video. the trial is so fun to play, I still think about a moment when I changed the truth so that a certain character was found innocent. And when the Judge finished the verdict and that character's sprite appeared with "CONVICTIONS: No Crimes" I laughed so hard and even printed and published the image on Steam for the first time.

Honestly, I didn't care about the mystery itself that much and just wanted to find more stuff and secrets and explore. The game delivered.

Even if a game isn’t my cup of tea genre-wise, I still love watching videos like yours about them because I love learning all I can about their design. Thanks for doing what you do!

Fell in love with this game and basically 100%'d it (as far as that is possible) a while back
I check in every now and then to see what content has been made about it and usually wind up disappointed in the seeming lack of interest so believe me when I say THANKYOU for making this video, I'll be checking out the rest of your channel

It's been almost two years since I played this gem, and it has stuck with me for that long. Such an amazing experience, having storylines in your head and trying to uncover the truth of what happened, not without regretting involving certain people.
Wish more people would follow my suggestion to play this amazing game, and I know of some that would enjoy it but their lack of english comprehension wouldn't allow them to enjoy the game

As fan of the ace atternoy games to me enjoyment came from the character interactions and feeling of figuring you the puzzle. To me these game where at their best when they didn't hold your hand and had amazing character dynamics, with Ace Attorney Investigations 2 being a shining example of this.

I have a problem with most mystery video games. They are sooooo predictable most of the time that I know who committed the crime way before they reveal it. I would like to say that Disco Elysium is a very good detective RPG.

The best thing Paradise Killer does is trick you into thinking you're a good person. It creates a real illusion of "paradise" where everyone is wonderful and divine. But they really aren't. There are murders, conspiracies and cold calculation. And you, as an investor, are part of it. You can't wash away this divinity,
because you are part of a nasty process and the exploitation of people for dirty blood magic. But you never once ask the hard question of whether it's the right thing to do. It's not your job.

Absoluyely love the aesthetic here, might give this a look.
(Also, Sherlock is fine -- Series 4 however absolutely nukes any good the series did.)

1:45 let me interject at this spot, Myst should not be a go-to example for “good puzzle game” by modern standards, it may be fun for many but its puzzle aspects are below average. One of the many reasons is because it does NOT do what you are claiming, that is, having solutions feel good as they click into place. Motivation, believability, and solution elegance are some of the places that Myst most fails compared to so many later games close in its genre. I encourage you to play more puzzle games, or else resist the blurred ruby glasses that so many like to view Myst through.
(On topic: I did 100% this game and speedrun it. It’s very interesting and better than many games but not my favorite investigation game.)

Idk I just hate this aesthetic and find the game mostly ugly-looking. I really like vaporware, but I can't handle the way they did it. I just hate the art so much I can't focus in the story itself. And I love games such as Danganronpa, ace attorney, and most murder mysteries
