Connor Shaw “What make CONNOR SHAW So PERFECT?”
you cant tell me what to do, adult person. I'll have you know that because you have insulted me to such a degree, I will do the opposite of what you have said. Consider this your only warning mere mortal, because the next time you do this insolence again I will call my lawyer on you homosapien. mark my words.
ok have a good day
It's alright!
The fact that you said: "We all have to deal with people passing, so we are all climbing the mountain" that really struck me in my heart because I know exactly how they feel.
Really good video & I recommend for another fun game to play try: "Katana Zero"
The mentality that celeste teaches you about hard games is actually super helpful. I played getting over it shortly after celeste and the idea that failing is just as important as moving forward makes getting over it pretty enjoyable.
wow, i remember watching your payday vids back in the day and i still play the hell out of that game, i missed the quality of your content, will for sure be watching more of your new stuff, thanks for all the happiness and good videos.
It's almost 5 in the morning for me. But since it's Celeste sleep can wait.
FINALLY, somone puts it into words
Its just sad to see a very good and creative youtuber not getting what he deserves because he used to make content for just one game.
I love your videos man, keep doing them.
Indie devs are always the best at making some of the most thought provoking games through simple graphics.
This game really reminds me of choppy orc I used to speed run it's fun and free on cool mathgames
Excited to see whenever you upload :)
This might be your best one yet.
Keep up the good work!
Great summary. Recently started my climb of the mountain and the excellence of the game design and implementation is striking. I frequently experience fear of failure in day to day life, but playing this feels like it is starting to rewire the negative thought patterns I have when approaching a challenge. Never would have expected that from a video game.
It's a super calm version of super meat boy
Review super meat boy next
Why are the only hard games Celeste and super meat boy... super meat boy is fairly easy for platforming standards today.
I do agree celeste is such a great game.
Oh man, I forgot about that music. Might have to go back in again. Working on the last couple B sides last time I played.
almost 100k mate
Glad you're ok Connor
Now I can send this to my friends to convince them to play. Thanks Connor!
I'm struggling to find something to say in my comment so I'll just say "Thank's for uploading Connor, it helps me out in more ways than I can think."
get this man more views
Great video, if I could just say one thing is that maybe a pop guard would be great for your mic as the "s" noises in the video are pretty harsh at points, otherwise superlative work! Stay safe!
i do have a pop filter, i think it's just my mic and my voice. i should upgrade to a rode mic at some point
Speedruns of this game are insane to watch, too.
also, trans Madeline :3
Why out of nowhere lol
I- I think I need to play through the main story of Celeste again. I've been slowly playing the b-sides, but I've been going through some stuff, and I think I really need the pick me up of both how much easier the game will be now and experiencing the story again.
Your such a great UA-camr, can't believe your still under 100000 subs
Damn, this is Beautiful
everything
I discovered the game from the amazing music by Lena Raine I found while searched on spotify for her minecarft songs
Hey Connor, You should do a review of Hollow Knight, if you ever feel like it, i'd love to watch you stream the game sometime!
This looks gret
I can allready tell this games gonna piss me off
The thumbnail of your video is the background on my xbox.
Hmm a game thats forgiving
Well I mean the dark souls 3 sale seems pretty intriguing
This game is more of a happier version of momodora
No Connor, you should stay safe and goody good! Take care and clean yourself
Why were the comments moved
Ikr. I keep hitting the X to close the replies to a comment and closing the whole comments section. Why'd they have to change it?

Brazilian Game Yeah Its Time To Search
How is quarantine for everyone?
Reasons to play Celeste
1- mental health
2- like difficult games
3- wants to get better at video games
4- is trans girl
Good video man, Hope you're doing alright
P.S - i didn't know what to say but wanted to say so here you go :)
This game is MUCH better then hollow knight
Change my Mind
I really like the video, however a bit of constructive criticism is when you read the script you seem to talk with a lot of extra emphasis, but I think you're voice would sound really really good if it was a little more subdued and calm. I feel awkward saying it because I really liked the video and didn't want to be mean, but I really enjoyed your video :-)
All I'm thinking about now is that three days grace song the mountain
why is this guy speaking like a Blink182 song?
Damn, this video needs more Views

Im actually worried about this channel...
Notif gang
nothing, it suck's ass. (Im just kidding.)
This game is too hard. I'm still stuck at the hotel level, I think it's only level 3, and I haven't improved at all. This game seems great and it looks like fun, but I just cannot play it. The difficulty is too much for me.
Have you tried assist mode?
trans rights
My comment is the 69th comment
I don't know I didn't feel that stressed the main game was pretty easy.
did you have assist mode on?
I think Celeste is a fun little game for what it is. I would not recommend playing after the credits tho. Those levels suck. I gave up playing them. I also really hate the story but the gameplay from the beginning to the credits is definitely worth checking out.
I think you don’t like the post credit stuff because it’s HARD and the story is really good maybe you don’t understand what stuff represents and that’s fair I’ve dealt with mental illness so it’s a lot more relatable and I know what stuff means which makes the story so much better
I really don't understand what people like about this game whether gameplay or story and honestly after i played an hour of it i went "yeah it's fun" then watching a review online of the story and went "well it's not that profound now is it it's a bit cliche" i genuinely cannot see why people like this but im not hating on anyone who likes it but the whole arguement of "oh it shows mental illness is a thing we should talk about" isn't really profound at all
For me at least:
I love the mixed art styles,
The soundtrack is incredible to me, I love chilling to some of the tunes. This one could be a matter of taste. It can kinda put you into a zen mode as you throw yourself at a level.
The story is charming and has some really cool bits. Worth experiencing. Would go into depth but time and spoilers restrict me.
The gameplay loop of trying to overcome the difficult as heck section you just can't beat is... IDK... Captivating I guess. It breaks the levels down into bite-sized chunks to learn, optimize, and overcome. Each section kinda has a puzzle aspect to figure out too. Overcoming something that seemed straight up impossible at first glance is incredibly rewarding to me I guess.
It's always teaching you some new mechanics. Each area brings a new obstacle to overcome and master. Many of these mechanics only get more interesting once you unlock a second midair boost. When I beat the base game I thought the B sides we're just a harder version of the levels. I tried one to find it teaches you new techniques you haven't seen anywhere before. Yet another move to master to move forward.
Finally I guess it just feels good to play. It's really satisfying just to move around. (Unrelated note I felt the same about Mario Odyssey.)
I got the game on the Switch for the record and it helps to be able to freeze the game to come back to it later if you start getting too triggered.
This got longer than expected.
Overall: good story, music, presentation, and gameplay loop keeps me coming back.
Thanks for reading
I don't really think that is the idea of showing mental illness is a thing, but how they handle it in the story is unique when compared to other media.
Spoilers : Like when Madeline confronts badeline saying how she doesn't need her anymore. In a lot of media that would be the end of it but in this story, Madeline can't just overcome her by saying 'i don't need you' she gets thrown down the entire mountain losing all of her progress when she was so close because of it and is even further defeated.
I personally liked the game more for the gameplay and there was just enough story to keep me interested throughout.
I mean, you're right, it isn't profound.
But the game wasn't trying to be and a lot of reviewers (at least, the ones worth their salt) don't seem to be taking it as such.
They're just finally glad to see another piece of media that actually talks about mental illness in a significant way without making it a bleak horror show while also being a very tightly-maintained platformer.
I'm going to try to ask this in the nicest way I can: please get a haircut. Your videos are amazing but I cant stop thinking about that hair and it runs the experience for me. I apologize if I've offended anyone
Celeste is a light-blue ripoff
