Perfect timing on this review - thanks Cam!
Got another one coming with the 1200!
Good for group shoots outdoors or no?
Hey! Would this flash be able to fill a 65in parabolic umbrella?
I love mine, had it a long time through a few different camera life times. Rock solid
I actually changed over from Elinchrom ELB 1200’s to the AD1200 Pro. The flash duration on the Elinchrom was just too fast and it didn’t cover the frame evenly. But comparing that the battery, speed and power is at the same level yet 1/2 the price without any real sacrifice other than weather and dust proofing. The AD1200 has fans to cool the head as well as the pack so I’ve yet to experience an overheat but it’s not been over 80 degrees yet. Having that much power and speed just gives you more options for creativity as long as you don’t have to carry it far. It does weigh a ton. Matthew’s Hollywood Baby Jr roller stand to the rescue when on concrete.
Welp. That sold me!! Did you see the 2400 they just released? It’s a bit overkill but seems like a rad studio solution
Xt2 is also Bluetooth so if switched on may be draining battery more
I have two ad200 and they are fantastic lights.
I use ad400 / 200 as my only flashes love them
Shot with the AD600 in direct sunlight and it overheats at full power. But in the studio, it's a total beast. Probably best get the AD1200 Pro for outside hot days.
Check my upload from this morning ;)
Have a love hate with my AD400...love the size, power, etc. But I seem to overheat it a lot both indoor and outside. Guess I need to slow down and not shoot so much or try to push shooting so rapidly with it.
Are you using HSS? I find it over heats faster in HSS
I have the ad200 godox(It's great) with a camera that has a leaf shutter. I can go to 1/2000s. I can do a lot but yeah sometimes the flash lacks power.
Oh yes I have that one too! I have the small beauty dish attachment for it too. Great for a hard light type of look. I haven’t used it in a a while tho
What camera do you use with a leaf shutter? I have the fujifilm x100f and I was shooting the other day at 1/4000 (electronic+manual shutter has to be on or max is 1/2000th)
@@atwistedlens a lot of medium format film cameras have leaf shutter lens. My Mamiya RZ67 had them!
@@atwistedlens Lumix lx100 ii. I can go to 1/4000 but my lens has to be at F4.
@@cammackey Beg pardon for topic drift for just a moment-months back you mentioned having some Capture One film styles available for purchase/download and I'm wondering if they're still available? Thanks.
I like your style dude
first lol
damn!
