255hp from ONE BOLT ON! Dyno Proven Power

- It's the Ultimate Bolt-On! We dyno test and do 0-60 runs in the AWD Silverado, and it performs AMAZING! We already know that the LSA Supercharged Silverado made some good power since it ran a 12.11 second quarter mile mile at 111 MPH, and it sounds amazing, but I never got around to testing the 0-60 times or measuring the horsepower on a dyno. In order to properly test this truck on a dyno, I needed to find an AWD dyno setup with a link system that connects the front and rear rollers, and luckily there was a Dynojet in town that had the proper equipment to connect the two rollers together.
If you want an LSA Supercharger for your Silverado, Camaro, GTO, SS Sedan, G8 GT, or anything LS Powered, check out Boost District!

So what do we do next? I want a 6.0 in here someday, but I am curious to see how far we can go with the SBE 4.8
That 4.8 will take waaaaaaay more
Methanol injection.
Ported blower and spicier cam!
I like the 4.8, it can take a lot. Get the 4L80 all built and put it in, get the other injectors that you mentioned and see what she does. Just my 2 cents. I really like this with the supercharger, it sounds awesome!! :)
Nitrous!
Honestly, the fact that it’s a small displacement engine makes it more entertaining. I’d get the typical heads and cam package and watch it surpass that 600 awhp marker. I’d be that truck has a 10 second pass in it with that along with a proper suspension setup and tires.
Unfortunately I’m struggling to find baby formula for my boys, no LSA in the near future for me, but I really appreciate you sharing such great content!!
They got recipes for them using condensed milk. There are alternatives out there my friend.
Goats milk
@@rj_boostedz2897 yes when I was baby many years ago that's what doc recommended.
@@techs1smh13 makes sense it’s perfectly fine. I’ve also given my kids unpasteurized cows milk from local grass fed farms. Just as good
I felt that my son formula so hard to find
That B roll editing in the first 30 seconds was on point! Nice work
thanks a ton! I hoped it would set a good pace for the video
I wouldn't change anything, I really like the way everything is set up in the engine bay, it looks very professional.
I am really impressed with the 4.8. It’s hard to believe the numbers. Just imagine a 6.0 in its place. Love the content, LT. Thanks for sharing!
@@jaybo3687 immmmm sorry bro I think I’m misunderstanding your comment ????
The blower is only good for so much, replacing the 4.8 with a 6.0 just means it would make the same power with less boost.
@@jaybo3687 that's 550 awd hp..... if 2wd it would be over 600....
The editing just gets better with each video. This content rocks, on to 100k subscribers!
thanks! I did put a lot of effort into this one
Dude!! Keep killin it bro!! Love the content and everything you bring to builds and motorsports!!
I love seeing the "Tyclone" making that kind of power. Would love to see what it could make with the 4.8 before you change the engine.
really appreciate your method in putting this truck together. True craftsman.
I absolutely love this truck! The fit and finish is awesome, simple setup and really clean.
Stoked for you. Good work brother.
Fantastic build LT!! Great job!
Thanks LT.... another great video.
Awesome LT glad to see it’s finally finished love the sound wicked job dude 👌🤟
Damn, those LS motors are terrific. Lots of power, simple design, easily modded, sturdy, etc, etc...... Personally, I think it's cool that you did a 4.8L and showed its potential. Great vid, thanks.... now get back onto a TV show!
Really enjoying seeing this build!
thanks!
Those are impressive numbers for a 4.8L! A 6.0L stroker with some good CNC ported heads would be a nice upgrade👍🏼
Awesome truck! Your hard work has paid off.
Thanks 👍
Insane ! Wow very impressed
More than I thought...But still NOT ENOUGH! Great work LT!
Nope, it’s never enough. It could be 1,000 and I’d still want more lol
You did exactly what I hoped you would do with the truck. i think it's prefect!!! Autocross killer.
This is a really cool build man.
Yup I laugh the same way as you when I don’t get caught 😎🍻 love the way the truck hooks up. Well done 👍
Love the truck LT , Amazing that little 4.8 can put out that much power. Keep the good videos coming..
Thanks! Will do!
Hard work pays off
Truck turned out awesome. Saw the last video. Thing hauls the mail and good to see the AWD stayed together. Thanks for the tip on the tow haul button, my 02 Tahoe suffers from the broken orange wire. Gonna get 1 ordered. Keep up the great work!
Thanks 👍
thanks LT love the COPO
Awesome video!!!
Damn I love it. And I love the color. Such a sweet ride
This project came out to be really good!
Man that is such a sweet looking truck, runs amazing LT 👍🇺🇸💪
Editing on point in the video LT!!!!
Appreciated!!!
I think it's done. Very well too. Great content for sure!
Great content LT
Thanks!
Didn't disappoint
The only thing to change would be the ownership of it! ! I love the build the truck and the direction you are going! Gm would sell a ton of these style trucks. Can’t wait to see what you do next. Again job very well done!
The last Gen silverado had a proposed Cheyenne, that would have been a mini truck performance solution. I was sad that GM keeps making these concepts, but never puts them to market.
The 4L60 platform is not as bad as a lot of people accuse it of being.....BUT it still has its limitations.
awesome truck!
Taking notes on everything he said I am next on this kind of project
Man, now that you’ve got two rippin trucks the channel gains are really showin. 100k not too far away!
I hope so!
@@LawrenceTolman what's the magic that happens at 100k?
nice job man!
LT you should have got an Escalade leather wrapped shifter. I have one sitting on my bench waiting to get installed with my 03-07 steering wheel.
Also that snap from the COPO truck to the Ugly truck was sweet. Fantastic edit LT
Bada$$ trucks...very impressive power from the 4.8...
great stuff!!
Suggestions for projects: weight reduction, change front springs to coil-over conversation kit for 50lbs savings, carbon hood, replace rear bumper with a roll pan
“Spicy tune up” LOL!!! Love it!!!
LT I wouldn’t change a thing with that truck but if I had to change something it would be drop in a 6.0 l with that lsa set up
You have built an awesome street truck it’s very cool
I would seriously recommend upgrading the intercooler pump and line size (not sure if you can get larger ports for the LSA). What boost district provided is woefully under powered and you will be fighting IATs all the time on the current setup. I would also recommend bypassing the expansion tank as it hurts the flow. A Davies Craig EWP150 pump and 1" lines are good for around 14gpm of water speed.
New sub here love the channel! Just did heads on my 5.3, bad guides on one side so did them both with upgraded springs for future. Gonna go back and binge watch other videos. 👍
Thanks for the sub and I hope you enjoy the content!
Same gasoline station in Orem that I go to get my e85. It’s a hidden gem! Super badass build though I want to build a LS now after I get done with my coyote!
One change I’d like to see on that truck is it in my driveway I really like that truck!
A 6.0 is the only thing I would have done different. The build you did is top notch!!!
Good job
Good numbers alright. Must be an absolute blast to drive!
it is a blast, and the throttle response is epic with the blower
Awesome build and thanks for the great content. You should check out the Blue Cat transmission tool, it will be a night and day upgrade.
A wheel ant tire change would do wonders for the truck. Nitto 555r2 all the way around would help fix that little bit of wheelspin on the street. Cool truck love the content! Been watching you for years and don't plan to stop
I am impressed with your setup...I have a 2018 GMC Sierra Denali with a 6.2l engine. I put a Magnuson TVS 2300 and Alky Meth Injection.....i get 500 HP and Ft Lb of torque at the rear wheels...want to make some other mods but that will take some time....good video
Last week we were at 3.89 now we’re at 4.09. For flex fuel mind you, not specifically e85. 51% minimum up to 83% mixture is our flex fuel here in Chattanooga, TN
Wish my 94 and 96. 7.4 had a tow/haul mode where I could get some engine braking while hauling without swapping an electric version
The fit and finish of the Copo Truck is top notch. Your craftsmanship shows in the level of detail in the factory style installation. For changes, I would run the gas tank empty and fill it all the way with E85 and tweak it a little more with the injectors and tune and just enjoy your creation. After that I'd go with a 6.0
Yeah, I am kicking myself a little for not having more ethanol in there, but still happy with the numbers
@@LawrenceTolman definitely! The numbers with diluted fuel are amazing!
Hey I'm new to your channel I enjoy your information thanks
Welcome, and thanks for watching!
Pretty cool in my book too, and no running from the police, even though they can never catch you!
I try telling people the 4L60E isn’t junk as long as it it had a few performance mods a big cooler and it serviced on a regular basis the work great
Dude I had no idea you were in Utah! Great content love your builds. I’m building a pretty unique truck on my channel I would love to get it out with yours when it’s done this summer.
Not gonna lie it was mesmerizing seeing “fast orange” with all four wheels on the rollers. Maybe methanol injection in the future? Great work LT!
I would start with a larger intercooler reservoir. More volume would make it take longer to heat up those iat’s. Then port the blower. You’ll gain boost just from the inlet porting.
Thank you.
looking at that datalog.... that is INSTANT boost..... wow
That’s my favorite part of the supercharger!
@@LawrenceTolman wish they were cheaper, that’s the worst part of my turbo setup is the lag.
Also you lose the deep exhaust note with the turbo…
Even at 135 mph surprised the driveshaft didn’t let go. Mine let go at 140. (I didn’t know the tuner was going to do a 3rd gear pull, what I get for assuming) bad ass build. I love my RCSB!!!
plus, think about the driveshaft speed I'm running here. 135 mph on a 3.42 gear ratio will spin the driveshaft much slower than 135 MPH with my 4.30 gears
This makes me want to do a SC on my Tahoe I use to tow my drift cars with. Of course I'll need an upgraded 4L60E I'm sure haha
Chemical intercooler.
I remember it being shown on a PB show.
Hello, sounds good.
Man... An AWD older single cab Chevy truck putting down 550-650 wheel is EXACTLY what I'd want as a weekend toy or even a daily driver. Love the build. I was busy while watching this, did you talk about gas mileage?
Very solid gains, can't wait to finish 5.3 lsa up. Switched from whipple 2.3
Why did you get away from the Whipple? Thinking about getting a Whipple or LSA is why I ask..
@@lgb7421 There's alot more factors than shear displacment.
-The LSA blower is a more efficient/newer set up.
-I'm not looking to make this the fastest 6200lb silverado crew cab on the street, so reliability is big for me.
-whipple 2.3 is old, outdated and most importantly not really supported by whipple any more (they quit making rotor housings and w other parts) and aftermarket support isn't as big.
My whipple spent 6 months out of the past year over 2 occasions being rebuilt from serious issues... and I rebuilt it with one of the few remaining housings and sold it immediately.
Also, the whipple was annoying as hell to install because the intake elbow out the back covers 1 whole side of bolts and it generally takes up more space than the LSA. LSA definitely wins on packaging
Bad ass man! only suggestion would be a water/meth setup! i have one in my turbo awd 99 regcab step side
I wonder how would it respond to a camshaft change and Revving it a-little higher and a pulley change also
Next time you're at the dyno, you can command it to stay in your desired gear with HP Tuners. You can also lock up the torque converter if you have a really high stall torque converter. I do that to diagnose hard to find misfires on 55-65 mph back roads as well.
yup, that's another great way to accomplish it as well!
I can’t believe the hp and torque you are getting. That LSA is so cool. I love the AWD setup. 🔥🔥🧯🚒
Ha! Been there before! Throat dries up instantly, your heart rate sky rockets, palms get sweaty, and you can't even talk anymore after seeing the cop markings!! Guessing the cop slowed down and turned around after you for a bit? You get pulled over, LT? Nice truck, brother!
Keep the 4.8 and I agree, see how much more you can push it. It already smokes the doors off a 5.3. I guess a lot of us trades guys had a GM van with a 4.8 and it was indestructible as a work truck.
Thats awesome LT. I'm building a rcsb 03 cateye that was a v6. I built a stout 5.3 for it and a decent size cam. Hoping for 400 rwhp NA so when we throw the turbos on it will be good to go. How much was the wrap job? It looks sick but I don't know if its worth it or to just go with paint... thanks
LT has the kind of channel I can confidently hit like BEFORE I watch it..lol ../AS always great job! Never considered the E85 benefits til you pointed it out. Thanks! Super interested in what the truck weighs. Would be legit info to work around.
Greetings from the farm in S.C.!
much appreciated!
Love to see a 6.0 with a stroker and Ls3 heads.
408 stroker 🔥
Get the blower system CNC ported from front to back by Kong or Jokers, pulley down top and bottom, hotter custom cam, port the heads.
Ported heads and bigger valves with a ice tank would gain some good power, good video non the less!
That’s a nice street sleeper!!! I would say that engine will last a very long time if you can keep it off redline. Keep pumping boost into it until it detonates! Maybe even try a turbo feeding a blower set up!
It's blaze orange with stickers, It's wide awake.
Add the 25% parasitic drivetrain loss and you're probably up 650 700 horse on a semistock 4.8 I'd say that's the best combo I've ever seen on a copo repop Silverado yeah that little dude is a beast for what's been done.
It would be cool to see an interchiller added.
I would love to see a 6L80E conversion and if the 6L80E is as easy to convert to AWD as the 4L60E and 4L80E. Would love to line em up with my orange G8 GT. Going to LS Fest East in KY?
Hey question, do they charge extra for changing the isolator? and also pressing on the griptec pulley? I didn't see the option on the website.
I think Pat referred to it as "understroke"?. Put a 6.0 crank w/ stock bore. Stronger rods, Pistons, cam, springs and rockers with ARP everything. I'm pretty sure a stock block 4.8 can handle 1200 hp. Take the precautions and run an upgraded block @1200hp and leave potentially 1600hp on the table for a later date. Your truck could see a 3.2 0-60 or better.
IMO? Find a project car for that 4.8. Like a mid 90's Caprice/Impala Clone. Make it AWD. Put some work into the ugly trucks 8.1 and put it in the COPO truck w/ an Allison 5 or 6 speed. That 0.71/0.61 OD will give those 4:30's a much higher top speed. Kilduff makes an Allison based center console shifter so your tow/haul button can be used for line lock instead.
P.S.
I need a job that I'm more passionate with. Got a helluva lot of out of the box Ideas that would make for unique builds and content. Just to broke to bring anything into fruition.
I have a 2011 CTSV and the coolant hoses for the blower are in the front and I would bet that almost all the gens of the V have them in the same place.
The CTS-V lid has the hoses at the rear. Your V must have the ZL1 Camaro lid.
take that 4L60 till it breaks, bigger injectors and party pully....i would love to see something twin charged (combination blower and turbo) not a very common boost set up currently and i think it would be fun to see done, esp since your not one for going the most common route.
I had a 2000 that had that broken wire.
Found a good one at the junkyard for super cheap.
Wouldda been cool if GM offered this as a pkg option. And done with a mighty mouse 4.8!
Hey LT, you posting these video's the county sheriff has your truck marked. gotta watch your back
Just curious what dyno sessions usually cost at places like that been wanting to do that my self but many places won't give me numbers when I call just curious
would really love to put a lsa blower on my 4.8 Genesis Coupe build
Hmm. I wonder how a 6l80 with paddle shifters would be?
