I think one of my favorite things about your videos is that it shows that you can build almost anything in your garage with just a good set of basic tools.
LT, that is so clean and perfection of install with the fuel lines and setting up!! You're right about being OCD, so am I!! I like everything to be just right and neatly and organized like factory. 👍 i like your concept of being that way. That's why i enjoy so much watching all of your videos!! Keep it up, buddy! Looking forward to many more videos!! Many thumbs up!! 👍
Just purchased an 2011 ctsv sedan 25k miles a month an a half ago and im loving the LSA vids. Im alot your style of being meticulous and ocd so really enjoy these vids of you plus the blower mod. Plus im stock so enjoying your must have mods so i can dido.
Dawg: I’ve also loved powerblock when it was, you were one of my favs on powernation, and I LOVE how in depth you get with your own content! 🤙🤙🤙 Y’all been subscribed
Gotta give a big thumbs up for this upload. Nice choice of music and only played when needed and at a tolerable volume level. Enjoy the segments where you go over the details and the hands on as well. Very nice indeed. Thanks for listening and mixing it up. Looking forward to the next one. Great job on everything IMO.
Great video as always! I have learned so much about LS engines and GM trucks in general from your videos. I'm in the process of putting a 5.3 in a 4wd Colorado and these videos have been instrumental in my project
Thanks for showing how to make a clean FPR bracket. I’ve watched for a while now, especially if I need some tips for a project of mine. I copied your measurements for cutting the 4l60 trans brace to fit the 4l80, thanks bro! I’ve got my turbo project done thanks to you and others who have shared their knowledge! I’ll be posting some turbo pull vids and one where I run a scat pack
Nice work on building that fuel regulator bracket, it is always nice and rewarding to be able to build something like that from practically nothing and make it look great!! Your attention to detail is awesome as always and great choices on the music and thanks for listening to us about that. Your channel is one of the best on UA-cam and me personally I really don't care what music you choose just find some great stuff (like you did for this video) that has no foul language, just hate to see such an incredible channel get a bad rap if you know what I mean. Can't wait to hear it run!! :)
I love lt when he gets going on his ocd and making stuff look nice. Sounds logical or like it's good practice and the he throws in sheepish "I'm just doing this cause I what to" like the boost gage. It's for self indulgence isn't it? Lol
Good progress, waiting on parts doesn't help . I have seen the bricks collapse in videos and it's not good to suck coolant into the engine like that. You made a good choice to have to make it stronger 💪. Nice work on the fuel system. Slow & steady wins the race 🏁. Be safe team.
That regulator bracket was super clean. I try to do the same thing but I don’t feel I ever get quite the perfect final result like I had in my head lol
If you wanna go crazy with that cooler inside the supercharger, you should route your cold a/c Freon into the cooler instead of water cooling. It would also run at a higher pressure than what your forcing in. If you went that route, or whether you do or don’t, I’d recommend wrapping all your a/c lines in aluminum insulation tape. It’ll stop your lines heat soaking in the bay and will reduce how long that compressor needs to run to do it’s job. Only if you feel like going all mad scientist on it with the cooler lol.
Hey LT, great video. I used a liquid filled fuel pressure gauge on a BBC Nova and it reads incorrectly when hot. Purchased another with the same results. Found out that heat changes the pressure inside the gauge and incorrectly displays the wrong fuel pressure.
@Lawrence LT Tolman. I have a 2002 Silverado 4.8. Cold air throttle body spacer electric fans stage 2 low lift cam kit from TSP bully dog tuner and a built 4l60e trans. Right now I run 93 octane, nothing lower. Can I run E85 fuel in my engine now and get some hp gains. If not, then what would i need to change
No, it’s not so simple. your fueling will be off, since e85 requires roughly 30% more volume. To properly run e85 you need to change the operating system to a 2002 Tahoe using HP Tuners or efi live and add a flex fuel sensor
Hey LT, love the channel!! Question about the fuel regulator plumbing... I was told by the local machine/dyno shop to plumb my regulator in after my fuel rails so it doesn't starve the engine at WOT. Have you considered this?
if you have a fuel rail with fittings on each end so fuel can flow through it, that's a great way to do it, but with the LSA Rails there is only one port, so it would be impossible to plumb it this way. However, if you have an option to do it that way, it is better (or so they say)
LT, I want to upgrade my fuel system similar to what you did in preparation for a turbo set up. Can I do that early so it’s done and run everything else stock till I get my turbo?
yep, just as long as your regulator will return enough of the excess fuel back to the tank, no worries. Both of my trucks worked great with a single 450 pump on stock lines and regulator.
Where did you route your return line off the new regulator? My kit says to drill the tank and put a bulkhead fitting for the return? I don’t like that idea.
My year of truck already had a feed and return line so it was pretty easy, but I believe the 2003+ trucks only had a feed line so you need to run another line. Some people use the existing 3/8 feed as a return, and add another larger -8 for a new feed line.
yeah, fuel flows right behind that cavity. I'll keep an eye out for leaks, but I have used teflon tape on tapered threads with fuel before with no leaks.
Only small disappointing thing is not making brackets out of aluminium, kinda sort of think it looks better, if it was a factory steel bracket it would be a sculptured pressed thin wall material with dimples in the bend corners etc so if you not doing it that factory look I think ali is the go but JMHO
You can only do that if the fuel rail has two fittings. The LS9 fuel rail he is using only has one fitting. There still isn’t a restriction in the supply line. The regulator just has a valve that bleeds off extra fuel to the return line.
Absolutely agree! Redesigned everything on my Belair build to accommodate this: 6.0 with L92 swap, especially because your fuel pump will burn out much faster. Vaporworx all the way! I'd read up on it or just call him, he knows his $h!t. That being said, thanks for the great writeup: pulling my brick off to be beefed up before it collapses.
If the external pressure on the exchanger is greater than the relief pressure of the radiator cap it may be able to collapse the exchanger and push a little bit to the overflow. That's the only thing I can think of that would cause it.
Complexity. If the fuel pump is closely matched to the actual fuel consumption, especially with variable-rate pumps, the need for a return line is diminished. Main points of a return type fuel system is to reduce load on the fuel pump, and to keep fuel from heating too much as it's near the engine. Fuel boiling isn't really an issue with fuel injection in street vehicles, but can be an issue in carbureted vehicles or high-hp race vehicles.
I did the boost district LSA kit on my short bed truck. Looking forward to seeing your progress! Check out PNR welding for great quality intercooler coolant reservoirs.

Nice work on this. You provided me a return line solutions for a completely different engine swap I am working on.
100k subs😂 you’re at like 150k now! Keep rocking man. I’m back here reviewing the Lsa install because I need one on my 408 Silverado!
As much as it probably gives you PTSD from the TV job, I thought the voice over was really good in this episode.

Great update LT. 👍
I like the way you explain your thinkin' process..thanks
That regulator bracket was super clean. I try to do the same thing but I don’t feel I ever get quite the perfect final result like I had in my head lol
Clean regular install, that's where I would mount mine except my radium catch can mounts in that exact location lol.
I know it takes more of your time to edit, but I do like the music. Up to you, though. I’m going to watch it no matter what.
much better on the music 🎶 🎵 👌
Absolutely
It's coming nice LT. Your a quality dude not OCD but if so it's a good thing you do nice clean work
Great work again LT. This will be a good reference for when I start mine!
fasster ptfe hose and fittings are awesome. check them out.
I’ve got the fuel rail on my tbss intake. Just as nice as other name brand stuff.
I’ll be honest I’m pretty upset you didn’t tig that plate!

Great series of videos LT.
Looks so dang clean!
L.t. using a lil peep beat lol. Side note, i wish I had your knowledge and skills to do this. I know it's achievable but you make it look so easy
That’s the exact same place I mounted my fuel pressure regulator for my LT swap.
Good spot, and I love that I don’t have to drill holes in the truck
This is going to launch so damn hard.....
A and N make good fuel lines and have a ton of different fittings.
Ah yes the AN, A-N or Army-Navy fittings do have quite the product offering. Milspec standards make speaking the same fitting language easier!
The dreaded wiring, lol.
Looking forward to hearing it whine!
That's gonna look great. Getting parts these days takes forever
I will be adding a BD LSA to my LS swap truck and caprice
Do it!
Looking good! Looks like Tony Angelo is doing his own thing on UA-cam now! Mike Finnegan has been and You may have started somthing!
Just following in their footsteps lol. Those guys are legends!
I'm a big fan of the OCD
Great video LT!
Thanks!
What fuel pump did you install i am having problems with that
Looking for the same answers..I have an 02 tahoe and can't find a direct fit option in that year.
@@dannysmith240i just install the hellcat fuelpump and added the hot wire fuel pump kit and it works
Hey LT, great video. I used a liquid filled fuel pressure gauge on a BBC Nova and it reads incorrectly when hot. Purchased another with the same results. Found out that heat changes the pressure inside the gauge and incorrectly displays the wrong fuel pressure.
I had that same Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator and it was really bad. Just a heads up
I’ve heard some negative reviews on the Rectangle Port to cathedral port space are in the LSA set up. What’s your thoughts on this LT?

Project Binky shows how out of hand a simple braket can get
Tape off the ports on that MAP sensor spacer - and paint it black - it will help make the whole setup disappear with the black ZL1 lid.
The man replaced the exhaust 3 times and counting.... OCD? Nah fam, he's building a work of art and the "devil's in the details"
You should sell those fuel regulator brackets. I'd like to buy one. I don't have alot of time and tools.
Keep the videos coming

Selling those afpr brackets? Cant find any for a Silverado anywhere
If you used a Motion Raceworks ICON throttle body you wouldn't have to make a throttle cable bracket, they make them and the quality is hard to beat.
What are the fittings that hook into the factory lines coming from the tank Building that same setup as you did
A 5/16 and 3/8 male quick connect to -6 AN Male
LT I know you put driving lights on one of your trucks just wandering what site that was. Hope you read this.
nice

yeah, fuel flows right behind that cavity. I'll keep an eye out for leaks, but I have used teflon tape on tapered threads with fuel before with no leaks.

Why not use a PWM controller for the fuel pump? Returnless, regulatorless. Makes your fuel pump last longer too!
I suppose I could, would need to get a control module and fuel pressure sensor added

Hey that's Turbo John's music he plays alot. What's it called ? I'll make it my phone ring tone.....
Since water cannot be compressed, does the heat exchanger collapse only happen if there is air in the system? Or am I missing something..
If the external pressure on the exchanger is greater than the relief pressure of the radiator cap it may be able to collapse the exchanger and push a little bit to the overflow. That's the only thing I can think of that would cause it.
There will be air in the system at the top of the reservoir, much like in a coolant expansion tank in your engines cooling system.
Would you be willing to sell them regulator brackets ?
Did you order an ICON throttle body for it?
I did actually
@@LawrenceTolman nice work. They are fantastic
