I just bought the Laifen Swift dryer and I love it…my hair is dry so fast and without me getting hot, lol. My arms are happy and the cycling feature is so cool! I never thought I’d get excited about a hairdryer, but I really am!
I love my laifen dryer I got at the holidays! I wish they came out with a larger and deeper diffuser.I get more volume that way. Awesome they came out with a cheaper version! I often hit the cycling button by accident when pixie diffusing LOL!
I only recently started defusing, and have only felt so-so about the results. So, tonight I thought: "I should check and see if Courtney has a new video on defusing with her shorter hair." And apparently I had completely perfect timing! I can't wait to try this out!
Thanks for the update! Can you comment on the weight difference between the Swift and Swift SE? Wondering if the switch from metal to plastic makes a big difference in weight?
I was diffusing my hair this morning and noticed the indicator light on the back of my laifen was cycling through different colors. Aparently if you hold down the temperature button, it will cycle cold, medium, hot! (Maybe this is old news but I dodnt read my manual so it was new to me 🙃)
Lol, if you press the temperature button for 1 second it will cycle…like you I didn’t read the manual and had to go dig it out when I couldn’t figure it out! Isn’t this dryer great?
Yeah, I have to agree you look really good C. I think I mentioned too that I too Bobed my hair, was such a fun move. Just a quick one. Does anyone else notice breakage from scrunching ? Like after 2 to 3 years of scrunching my breakages are on longer pieces in general and been noticing that its a result of styling the hair.
Hi, quick question!!! I've been trying to find a video that explains the differences between regular washes, cowashes, clarifying and deep conditioning and when to do them? I'm super confused abt it all and havent been able to find a video about it! I was wondering if you had one?? Thanks in advance! Have a great day!!
Regular Wash: A regular wash routine with standard shampoo and conditioner. Nothing really special about it. This is what you do weekly, and is the basis of your routine Cowash: Washing with conditioner only. Most conditioners have mild cleansing ingredients that can clean hair if you manually scrub it hard enough. Great for super dry/high porosity/coily hair as sometimes shampoo can be too drying. Also great if you need to cleanse your hair for whatever reason (pool, beach, something got on your hair) in between wash days without stripping it. Can’t do this for too long though, at some point you’ll have to clarify it Clarifying wash: A wash day using a specifically clarifying shampoo. These are much stronger than regular shampoos and strip your hair of everything. Helps scalp health and reset your hair so products continue working. You can do this once a week to once a month depending on how often you wash. Deep conditioning: a more potent version than a regular conditioner. You keep this on your hair for a prolonged period of time, about 10-30 minutes. Best to use after a clarifying wash as it will do a better job of restoring the needed moisture after stripping. Do not do this every wash day as it might weigh your hair down.
I Iike to pixie diffuse so if I were to set it on medium heat, turn it off and then turn it back on again, would it be on medium still? Or would I have to set it to medium heat again?
Also wondering the same thing! My hair is too short to be pulled up and it's still learning to be wavy so tying it up when sleeping or letting it stay open in my silk hair wrap at night ruines the curl clumps 😭
How are you finding having shorter highlighted hair? Are you missing your long locks at all? I think you look fab, but I know a big change can take a while to get used to x
I've had my Shark hyperair for a little over a year and it's starting to have issues with overheating... so I was looking at hair dryers today in case it craps out. I really hope it doesn't because the diffuser is the best one ever. But this is an interesting option. Definitely don't wanna spend the money on a Dyson (I've heard similar stories of it crapping out/overheating after a year as well). But I had been using high heat on my Shark for like the last month or so, because I realized my hair came out so much better when I did. Sad I might not be able to keep using high heat :(

How hot is the low heat setting? I got the Shark recently, but I'm finding even the lowest heat setting to be too hot, and you can't keep it on cool without holding the button down.
I have a playlist with a TON of one brand wash days. I go over a ton of products. And these are ones I really liked last year! ua-cam.com/video/IitSV9jbstI/v-deo.html
I have a question: do hairdryers cause the chemicals from the plastic/metal to be diffused onto your hair? I know it sounds like a weird question, but my sister has very delicate hair and doesn't tolerate even gentle drying with a hair dryer. Just curious! :)
I would try changing one product out at a time. Use less if needed! Also, if you havent recently I would use a clarifying shampoo and deep conditioner.
It sounds like you might need to clarify your hair. I highly recommend the Ion Crystal clarifying packette you can get at Sally Beauty. It's cheap and works soooo well. I paired it with the Sauce Beauty mask and my hair has never been softer or shinier.

Yay glad you love yours too! I can see how you do that though lol!
Have you ever or would you ever try a hair drying bonnet instead of diffusing? I would love to see it!!

yay good!!!!! Love it!

What is the quietest hairdryer you’ve used? I have to get ready for work before my young kids get up and I want to diffuse without waking them. TIA!

This was really helpful. One of the downsides of diffusing is that it takes soooo long. Will definitely be looking into this hair dryer!!
Excited about the Laifen SE. First heard about Laifen from Justin Hickox. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks Beth! Glad this helped!

What is “Bobed”?
So is this dryer like a Dyson dupe?

You hair looks great!! Your make up looks extra pretty today 🙂
Thank you so much!
Loving it, super cute!!
I’m still loving my Shark. 🤩❤️
I love mine too.
My hair keeps getting heat damaged with my Shark on the lowest heat setting. Do you use any curly friendly heat protectant products?
Courtney your hair looks fab ! the highlights really suit you and long hair is so over rated. Your hair more curly and shapes your beautiful face!
Thank you so much!
Can I use my black orchid diffuser with this?
I Iike to pixie diffuse so if I were to set it on medium heat, turn it off and then turn it back on again, would it be on medium still? Or would I have to set it to medium heat again?
Hey Courtney! What do you do with your shorter hair at night? I recently cut my hair shorter too. Love it!
Wondering the same thing! I have a chin length bob and can’t pineapple. I end up with flat sides in the morning and have to re-wet in the morning 🙄
Also wondering the same thing! My hair is too short to be pulled up and it's still learning to be wavy so tying it up when sleeping or letting it stay open in my silk hair wrap at night ruines the curl clumps 😭
Currently I just drape it up behind my head over my pillow! And use my silk pillow case well!
I tie up the top half of my head, helps give a bit of volume in the morning and saves the sides getting squished overnight

Thanks for this video!
Thank you!!!
are the hair dryers ion technology?
How do you fix your crown? I get a part and it's flat..

I did too until I took a toothbrush to clean out the intake. Now it’s perfect.
Do Dyson attachments fit on the Laifen? Thanks!
No they don’t I saw in another vid ❤
I'm having a hard time getting my diffuser to stay on the counter it keeps falling off lol its a Revlon brand...
You can Try one of those travel diffusers you can get them from Sally’s and they can fit on any blow dryer through universal diffuser might help

Same here - I'm seeing real heat damage in my hair from my Shark. I can't find a good heat protectant that helps.
Try cleaning out the air intake in the back.
What other hair products do you use

Does the Laifen SE come with a diffuser?
You have to pick up the diffuser separately. It is $18.99 on the Laifen website.
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney Can you confirm that the diffuser on the Laifen site fits the SE?

😂😂😂
Does the diffuser fit both models?
Yes the diffused fits both models. 🤗
I can’t even use any of the products for my wavy hair without it always feeling gunky.
