    This is a very educational video on how to make a review! It's very objective and comprehensive. I can imagine all the work you've done for this. Most reviews are about preferences of the reviewer, but here, you have made it easier for viewers to actually have a purchasing decision for ourselves. I've made mine and confident to not have regrets because of the experience you have showcased here. Thank you! This is a virtual experience that is very close to the viewer actually having that experience. This is very much needed in this time of pandemic and online buying. Keep it up!

    Merci beaucoup! Mon Français n'est pas bon I am afraid... a couple questions:
    1) when you read a large pdf file (a book like the "arduino for dummies" seen in the video for example) is there any difference in the reading experience (like responsiveness etc)?
    2) which one felt more paper-like in your eyes, the glass surface of the air or the plastic of the note 3?

    1. Has the Note 3 always had backlighting? For some reason I thought it did not

    Dirais tu que le fini de surface en plastique du note 3 est dans la tendance mat ou plutôt reflet brillant ?
    Par rapport au rafraichissement d'écran du note air par un geste, de quoi s'agit-il exactement comme type de mouvement ? Est ce que le note 3 peut le faire aussi ?
    Merci pour ton aide et encore bravo!

    • @onemoreink3654
      @onemoreink3654  4 роки тому +1

      Merci ! En fait le module "display" fourni par e-ink du Note Air est un Mobius flexible avec que celui du Note Air est en verre, plus lourd, plus rigide, plus fragile mais moins cher ! Sauf qu'on n'écrit pas directement sur ce display, le constructeur (ici ONYX) rajoute un certain nombre de couches jusqu'au front panel puis pour terminer on ajoute ou pas un film protecteur d'écran. C'est lui qui determine au final la sensation de "grattement" de l'écriture papier et qui participe pour l'essentiel à l'aspect brillant ou mat final. Donc oui, en sortie d'usine il y a une petite différence entre les deux modèles mais ce sont bien la protection d'écran + le stylet et sa mine qui produisent l'essentiel de la sensation d'écriture (pour une latence et une distance à l'encre identique).

    • @onemoreink3654
      @onemoreink3654  4 роки тому +1

      Le Note 3 a de meilleurs composants, oui. Sauf le gyroscope. Et surtout un design moins fun. Le "gesture" qui étonnamment manque sur le Note 3 est celui qui permet de raddraichier l'écran par un "swipe" de bas en haut.

      Oui. Pas de difference significative en confort de lecture entre les deux. Et une clé usb permet d'étendre le stockage interne.

    Bonjour, Sur le book note air, je souhaite principalement faire de la prise de note voir écrire de longs textes. Est il réellement facile ensuite de les transformer en World ? La reconnaissance de l'écriture vous parait correct ? Merci . J'avoue hésiter entre celui ci et le remarkable2 mais l'absence de rétroéclairage sur le remarkable est vraiment un gros point noir je trouve. Merci de vos réponses.

    • @onemoreink3654
      @onemoreink3654  3 роки тому +1

      Bonjour, je ne me sers quasiment pas de la reconnaissance de caractère native, que ce soit sur le note Air ou le RM2. Je pense que les résultats seront bien meilleurs en exportant les notes vers un outil d'OCR dédié. Pour l'éclairage ca dépend des usages : si vous avez à travailler ou lire en environnement faiblement lumineux ou la nuit et qu'un éclairage extérieur d'appoint n'est pas possible ou vous embête alors il vaut mieux se trouver vers les Onyx.

      Merci! Le Remarkable 2 est dédié prise de note/dessin avec des fonctions de lecture limitées. Les ONYX sont plus polyvalents et très adaptés pour la lecture. Si l'usage est essentiellement de la prise de note avec une envie d'être au plus proche de l'écriture papier, le Remarkable est meilleur. Pour un usage régulier qui ne serait pas que celui-là, les ONYX Note Air ou Note 3 sont plus ouverts. Dans tous les cas ce sont de très bons produits mais attention à la déception potentielle avec une Remarkable.

    Thank you so much for such a complete, detailed and technical review. Congratulations for an amazing job with two of the most relevant yet similar eink devices nowadays.
    I got the Note 3 because I value more the specs and performance over the looks, still love the black finish. For just $70 extra I believe it's worth the investment.
    Is there any paper-like screen protector that might improve paper and pen feel? The only ones I see are for iPads.
    Also, would any other stylus help? I returned a Staedtler Noris Jumbo because it felt like a gel pen. Great grip though.

    • @onemoreink3654
      @onemoreink3654  4 роки тому +3

      Thank you for your support!
      Apart from the original screen protections, there is to my knowledge no alternative dedicated to these formats and ONYX Products. Some adapt "like-paper" screen protectors made for other products (iPads). You have to cut out but it seems feasible with a good result.
      I like the Staedtler Jumbo's grip too but its problem is its nib, which is too slippery for my taste. It seems that you can easily replace it with a more adapted to a paper feel like the remarkable or the original ONYX that I find not so bad.

    It's a fantastic tool, but with a high risk of losing information.
    Pay $500 for something that breaks easy and lose all the work.
    We need a drop test like $1000 cellphones.
    I prefer my paper notebook, it will never break if i hit it, and works with 50 cent pen.
