I know it's spelt strangely but I think it's pronounced like "books" not "box" 😉 Nice review, by the way. I'm hesitating on which one to get between the ReMarkable 2, the Kindle Scribe and the SuperNote A5X2.
I have a Kindle and I read my books from there.
I’ve never found a better device for this.
I’ve had an iPad and I’ve had a Samsung tablet, I’m an apple girl and I can’t change.
I have a remarkable2, it’s a glorified note pad but the feel and the Look is amazing. Anything more and then I get an iPad.
Did boox close the gap with SN when it comes to organizing notes? Or can you basically do the same ( using tags and whatnot)?
I want one, I like SN, seems nice but I'm hoping for a bit more android apps
Supernote A5x2 drops prob next month that will be superior to alk these devices
Many users are saying that it's NOT possible to save your NOTES files onto an attached SD card instead of the cloud service. Is that true? If it is, then I'm sending the Boox I ordered back immediately. I do NOT want my files stored in the cloud.
I don't think it has expandable storage.
@@AnkitGarg It doesn't, but you can use the USB-C OTG drives (either SD card or thumb drive), which the device will recognize. BUT, neither the software NOTES app nor the OS itself will allow you to transfer your files to an SD card, even though the card is recognized. Supernote, in contrast, allows you to unload all your files and documents onto an OTG thumb drive or SD card.
Why am I seeing light gray dots all over the screen? Is that part of the page format or just showing up on camera?
@@CF542 that is the template I selected. It has no dots. Super clear
@@ebpman This template is not ideal for a video like this. Those dots are weirdly flickering on camera; they look like dirt or some display malfunction.
This vs a6x2? (yes I know the size is different but that's all we have)
It depends on your needs. If you anticipate using it primarily for reading and annotating, the Go 10.3 is ideal. Conversely, if you'll be taking more notes, the A6X2 is likely a better fit. Also, consider the device's size. Some people find it challenging to work on smaller devices, whether they're reading or taking notes.
Personally, I would go the A5X2 if it were available. But for now, I think I'll just go with the Go 10.3 since I can't wait any longer.
@@ghassan321skurk I like the software of SN from what I've seen. But, have to say, I do need some apps, like onenote, browser, email and a few other things.
Obviously I don't need all apps but just some apps to help with my needs.
So far so good
Absence of front light is a deal breaker for me.
Just the opposite for me. A light adds an extra layer and darkens the text, while also hurting the writing experience as your text becomes further from the surface.
@@dono42 I write on the Scribe and it is perfectly clear.
For its all the unnecessary added features. That’s why I love my remarkable HOWEVER the remarkable was the first e ink tablet I discovered and jumped the gun without doing research on their being more 😂 I like that there is an entire variety on these things
I bought a clip-on reading light just in case
Hi! Thx for the review. Few major questions here:
1) Since the device is so slim, have you experienced any accidental taping the screen while using it? Looks like you should always use it with cover for a better handle.
2) Is it suitable for multi-users scenario? Like sharing Go10 w family members and have a separate collections of books/apps?
3) Does it have any options to set password for locked screen, installing/uninstalling apps from Google Play, using some apps (e.g. banking, messengers) in case the Go10 is stolen or other family members using it?
4) You mentioned OneNote using scenario. How comfortable Go10 for reading notes and navigating the internal links? I wonder if Go10 can compliment my other notes apps and task trackers (e.g. Kanban desks in Notion/Trello/Asana/Jira)
Thanks you in advance
ofc, I don't mean to type or write a lot. Mostly reading only. Or using voice input when possible.
@@panparamparampanif you don’t intend to write a lot on it, then the Kindle Scribe would be a better and cheaper option
@@-ThatGuyVal- I don't think so. In my case Google Play is a must. Go10 is an e-ink tablet, overpriced and with some significant cons. I guess I'll wait for some cyber monday sale or Note Air 3 b/w update (whichever comes first).
@@panparamparampan ah okay cool. I thought you mentioned you weren’t going to write on it much but if the play store is necessary for you then for sure.
I just purchased the Supernote A6X2. I don’t think it’ll be too small because I use a passport size Midori for my notes currently so I should be okay.
I just want something where I can focus on notes so the apps aren’t necessary for me. I have an iPad Air for everything else.
1st
A bezeless e-ink screen. Thats how advanced we are.
How do you mess the name up in the first 3 seconds of the video? Stopped watching after that, as you clearly haven't done the appropriate research.
