Thanks this was really good. I have a Samsung S6. My opinion is the same as you, the stylus is a bit small and I use the erase button a lot. I'm looking for a better stylus.
@@onemoreink3654 I just got a Lamy Al-start and so far I'm happy. The button is a little too far back away from the nib but it seems OK. I have a number of Parker ball point pens and always thought they were a bit thin, but the Lamy seems just the right size; so I'll probably by an ink Lamy as well.
Hi. The Samsung S pen has a plastic nib which wears out very slowly. Will it not harm the RM screen? Bcz default RM pens have nibs made of paper type material which wear out.
One thing that never really gets adequately covered with reviews and descriptions of these pens is... which ones need their styluses regularly replacing and which ones don't. My Onyx Boox max came with the pen featured at 20:10 and had a hard plastic nib - I have been using the pen and tablet for three years now and it still does not need a nib replacement. The Onyx Nova colour came with the pen featured at 14:01 which is utter garbage - the included nib barely lasted 4 weeks and they don't provide any replacement nibs in pack, and they have the cheek to charge over £15 for just five of those same crappy nibs. If I could, I would just buy a couple more of their old pens and I would never need replacements. I bought E-Ink writers to replace paper and pen but if they still require expensive consumables then I already wasted my money buying the damn tablet in the first place. I could consider one of these other pens but I don't know if they have hard plastic nibs or not as their product descriptions never say if the material is quickly degradable or not. All I want is a stylus with a hard plastic nib that never needs replacing, so long as it has an eraser button that will work with Onyx products.
For permanent nibs you can consider the supernote products. For the other nibs/pen, it depends on how you are writing but you can consider that felt nibs (the ones that provide the "paper feel" sensation last less longer than hard ones...
I use Spen on my S7 galaxy tab. My favorite one is the Wacom one stylus, I also like the staetdler Stylus, unfortunately there is no side buttton, nor cap provided ti protect the nib. (neither on the one one stylus) The original S7 or S6 Spen are also good, only if you put a silicone housing on it, because these styluses are a bit too thin to my liking.... I found the Lamy al star EMR stylus a bit too heavy and thick, and the side button is too hard to find...
You mean in the video ? I can't remember because I like changing nibs. I preper more "paper like" nibs (wacom or HP or remarkable,...) better than the Lamy ones.
This man loves his pens! 😁 Q: I am one of those who seem grip their pen right near the tip, yet i have quite stiff fingers. If i had to flip a coin. To try first. Would you suggest the lamy, or the One? Thanks for the video👌
The Lamy. Because it's a "real" pen (metal, cap, clip,...). The One is really good too but with it's form factor, not sure you can greep the pen enough close to the nip as you like.
amazing exhaustive review. Thanks for this. super in depth and was interesting to hear how the EMR tech works at the start too edit: also amazing english. je peux parler en francais mais pas comme tu peux parler en anglais 😂

regarding illustration, dos the hp zbook one feel any more "light"? i own the wacom one pen but it feels it needs more force to be activated in my experience
I am not sure to understand. No need for those pens to put "pressure" on the surface : it starts writing once the nib is in contact with the pen. Some brushes manage the pressure (force) you can put on your pen in order to manage the thickness of the line but it is not an "activation".
hello! I bought the Wacom one after watching that video, thank you so much I love it! That said I'm not able to set up the side button as an eraser, do you have a suggestion on how to do it?

How can i arrange that small plastic part on the remarkable mark plus. Any idea? if i have to buy a new pen, id like to try another one. I really really like the remarkable marker but its too much fragile for me. I use the remarkable 2, which one will u recommend me?
If you like the eraser, you can try the staedtler jumbo : it can be compatible with RM nibs with a little hack (see my video). The HP Zbook X2 pen is also a really good pen but hard to find. If you need à "not fragile" pen, the Lamy EMR is the good choise, but it does not have the eraser.
I do not like pencil paper friction feel when writing I like a smooth low friction writing. What pen do you recommend that feels like a low friction smooth ballpoint pen on paper?
PC/EL if you do no like the "paper feel" at all. The good thing with the Lamy is that you can change your nibs later if you do not like the feeling. Remarkable nibs are, for example, compatible.
Hi ! I like Lamy but I don't like the cap. So I would go the Samsung. Which could be the best nib for a Onyx Note Air? It could work with other nibs or has to be with Onyx one?
