Everything Wrong With 65 in 17 Minutes or Less

- 65 is a recent science fiction action film that has a great premise. Sadly, it also has gobs of sins--way more than 65 of them.
Thursday: mid-aughts comedy sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins should we count next?

How could a movie with this sick of a concept be THIS criminally boring?!?!
In my opinion, they should either choose other director or writers isn't it
Bored director.
YES! I thought it would be so good... Almost fall sleep! So so so boring 🤮
Couldnt agree more lol i hated that the title shows up 20mins into the movies as if we didnt already know from the trailer 🤣
Hollywood
"Life on earth survives this." Was by far the funniest sin I've heard yet
I agree - totally unexpected but perfect.
except it didnt lmao
I think this movie would have benefitted from having some paleonerds on board. Too many dinosaur movies portray them as more movie monsters than animals, but there's so much legit horror that could be done even with biologically accurate dinos if they're used right.
Seriously, the scaly design is not only outdated but doesn't seem to mesh with the jungle-like environment. We need dino movies with feathered velociraptors already.
Hahaha Jack Morgan Dutch Marston the kid with 4 dads the fourth is unknown.
That’s why JP and TLW were great: dinosaurs felt like wild animals and not monsters. They acted like monsters when you came across them or stole their baby lol
@@seasnaill2589the t Rex that CROWS
@@seasnaill2589 they went through multiple "environments" not just a jungle. Those things could be from the swamp
One thing I noticed was that sometimes Koa's backpack was there, and sometimes it wasn't. Same thing with Adam's utility backpack.
I made my husband watch this movie on the promise of Adam Driver kicking Dino ass. He was so mad. He called the movie “Bugs, Berries, and, Bullshit”
You managed eem
I saw this movie in theaters. On my way out of the theatre, my sister asked me to do the hand whistle (she could never figure out how to do it no matter how much I tried to teach her.) I then had to spend 10 minutes teaching strangers how to hand whistle and not a single one of them could do it
I still can't, either
I wondered if people were doing it in the theater during the movie.
Then watching this Cinema Sins video mocking it almost the entire time should make you AND them feel a little silly. 🤣
You saw this movie in theaters? I’m sorry for your life choices 😭
Cool story bro.................................................
I think it's called 65, because thats the percentage of the movie the average person will miss when they fall asleep!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂
Nah I missed about 98%
Nah, it's because someone managed to gain access to the files and discovered that the average IQ of the people who worked on this movie was 65.
@@ITSREALLYNOTYOURFAULT combined? 🤣😭🤣
The design of the dinosaurs really held this movie back
i liked them they were more "scary" looking than what we are used too
@@cceynar94As if actual dinosaurs weren't terrifying enough already
@@jphenry3404Modern animals are already more terrifying than any of the creatures of this movie.
And the fact some of the dinosaurs in the movie died before the meteor
The design of the dinosaurs really "delicious 😋 " this movie in my opinion.
Every hand-whistle clip at the end delivered everything I was hoping for.
This movie had a fun concept. It should have been a thrilling adventure. Instead we ended up with a intergalactic bus driver who lost his child and forgot that he had a wife. A complete waste of dinosaur's.
I thought it was going to be a cool concept about space travel and time travel. It wasn't either.
Dinosaur's what?
@Lreclusa pretty sure he ment dinosaurs not dinosaur's
@@Lreclusa time
Bus Driver? I see what you did there
I knew you’d use the Hunger Games whistle but the 3rd one caught me off guard 😂
I was waiting for the fart one 😂
This one was the least expected.
The Old Spice one was the one that made me crack up
@@audiooddities9982facts
The worst sin in my opinion is ALWAYS having carnivores seem evil, like they creep up on you when you're cornered, or coming back for revenge, or when wounded still chasing you.
EVERY animal when wounden will run to save itself. Revenge is possible but mostly for intelligent ones like elephants, dolphins and apes. And will always kill asap when they catch you, there is no slow-motion face to face creeping.
You obviously have no knowledge how predatory carnivores hunt. A polar bear can smell prey from kilometers away and will hunt it down relentlessly. And when it comes to dinosaurs you can make up whatever shit you want, no one was around to see them actually behave.
@@neroarchangel yeah, but the polar bear won't do a little roar and pose for the camera while stalking you, taking forever to actually go for the kill. It will just go. That's every "dinosaur" in this movie, they just keep shimmying and staring and growling without actually doing jack shit.
Now I need a movie called Revenge Of The Dolphins
@@neroarchangel
That's called a hunt, not revenge.
that interstellar sin is so true, that movie made you actually care about and follow the daughters journey so you felt that connection. most movies fail so hard and make it feel like filler backstory
Loved seeing the hand whistle outro bit every time with a different wind noise! Hilarious!
Some clarity: They did not time travel. The characters are supposed to be Aliens from 65 million years ago that just happened to crash-land on prehistoric Earth just as the Meteor was going to hit. They could have made it, so their ship was the accidental cause of the meteor hitting Earth but nope, just so happens that they land at the very time frame a once in a billion-year event happens and in the location on Earth it landed.
Correct
This movie led to a great nap.
that was me with Stargate 😂
I was expecting the mockingjay whistle or the fart one but getting them both was priceless, great job indeed! #Respect XD
true, 😂
i was hoping for The Great Escape
Yep when they went for the second whistle I knew it was going to be the mockingjay.
I was hoping for the bit from Overboard: "Awhuurrooooo. Tofutti. Ah Tofutti where are you when I need you?"
I didn't get how the first time the t-rex got hit by the geyser it was perfectly fine, but the second time seemed to melt it's face off and kill it.
The first time only got the side of his neck/face the second geyser was a direct hit to the torso.
These aren't Dinosaurs. They're generic movie monsters.
The lightning crashes, a large Dino cries joke is pure gold to me.
"From man's invention, falls to the floor" 🎶
I'm glad you brought up the medical drawer. I was thinking "High technology and their sickbay is a junk drawer?"
“Kylo Ren Vs Jurassic Planet” is a better name for the movie.
I really expected a Jurassic park level entertainment
You poor thing 😂
@@ChineduOpara had little bit hope from movie and Adam driver
But both disappointed
I forgot this movie even existed.
I just watched it and forgot it.
Watch this movie a while back and I totally forgot existed until this video came out
Every whistle part at that end had me rolling. Perfect. I kept wanting more and they gave it to me. 😂
I've considered watching this movie, read some reviews that definitely pointed out a lot of its flaws. But all I can say is that this is a great video as always.
It was ok you dont have to pay a lot of attention to it so put it on and do some laundry or something you will be good especially if you have seen this video you know the basic story beats at this point.
Meh. It's worth a watch if you have nothing to do before bed.
I thought they were traveling through Time. They didn't they just crash landed on a planet with dinosaurs. A waste of time
@@newsrapper they did travel through time it says at the beginning of the movie 65 million years ago a visitor crash landed on earth.
Its, meh. Not a total disappointment but certainly nothing ground breaking.
The fact the both me and my brother laughed when they tried to pull the interstellar video recordings is pretty telling lmaooo
The only thing I can give this movie is that cheap jumpscare they did when he first saw the T-rex because there was no preparation. You're trying to look at the rex and then boom, tiny dino jumps into frame from out of nowhere. It got us good.
Same!! Lol. That was a great jumpscare. Rest of the movie was booty cheeks
Did you not catch that the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs was caused by his ship hitting the asteroid belt? I thought that was what they were going for here, that because he was there, the dinosaurs were wiped out.
ohhhhhh
Was thinking along the same lines. @ #75 whe he talks about the butterfly effect and all the futures harmed.... um, there's an asteroid about to hit there.
Ps: it's theorized the landing site for the asteroid was all ocean.
You missed the point of the sin. The point is that every dinosaur movie seems to focus on the asteroid part. It doesn't matter how cleverly they explain the coincidence of his timing, they still fell into the same cliche of making a dinosaur movie include the asteroid.
I read it as if he was pulled off course by the asteroid. But it's also plausible his ship just flew through it because it wasn't on their (lame) maps. (obviously made by the same people who can't make an autopilot that can't slow the ship, or change course to avoid running into shit.)
Only, dinosaurs were not wiped out my a single event like a meteor hitting earth. They continued to exist afterwards...
I kept expecting one of the funny hand whistles at the end to be the trumpet solo/intro to "In The Mood."
I'll still take a bunch more movies like this than actual remakes. Comics and remakes really feel like all I've seen in the last decade.
same i watched the hunt and it was amazing best stand alone movie in forever... wait knives out was pretty good too
The real problem here is,... Almost all remakes and sequels are usually always terrible.
I think Dune in the last 5 years is probably my favorite remake.
@@criticitizen8749 Almost usually always or usually almost always?
@@rickstaism both of course. 😜 🙄
This movie: *exists*
Everyone: "I don't even know who you are."
😅
The mashups at the end were very well done. We all wanted to hand fart, perfect timing
Could Adam Driver play John Wick's long lost son in a spin off setup sequel? Dude has kind of a Keanu look and has military training IRL already which seems perfect for Wick.
I actually thought they got Adam Driver because Keanu cost too much. Same look, except for the prominent nose.
I can’t get over how Adam Driver resembles Keanu Reeves
Like a Dollar Tree version.
Finally, a movie with Adam Driver in it where I don’t want his character to die horribly!
Did u actually see the picture? The overwhelming consensus is mehhh
Yeah, I saw it. It was a meh movie. Never said it was an good movie lol just that i didnt want him to die violently @@babytoshiro7014
I did
.....Logan Lucky.....
This is where I leave you
Okay, it seems like they didn't even do anything with the concept of the Earth's first person being from another planet. He could've just been an Earthling from the future who travelled back in time and it wouldn't have been any different.
The synapses for this movie pointed out that is in fact what happened, he went back in time (somehow) and the planet he was on was future earth, that’s why his scanner couldn’t find where his planet was even after using star charts, because he was already on it
That is what happened. He was from the future, hence all the equipment and the fact that he was doing some kind of transportation via outer space, and instead of going where he was supposed to, he traveled back in time to just before the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs hit.
I'm sorry, but at no point in the movie was time travel even hinted at
My big gripe about the meteor thing was why does the ship see it all coming, but doesnt alert him till after theyve been hit, and are basically screwed.
Kylo Ren's Bizarre Adventures.
That last second of the video is all I was waiting for the WHOLE TIME!
You make it seem like it was worth it.
@@mattmarzula More worth it than watching 65, that's for sure.
But the movie isn't about time travel so it doesnt matter what he does in our past because it is his present... the movie is about how apparently human life is the pinical of life in our galaxy and how we should be saddened by this fact.
Finding fossilized spaceship debris would have affected our future at least a tiny bit. Aliens actually visited us ! That means they can come back.
But yeah, Mills and Koa didn't "mess the timeline" like Cinemansins guy seems to imply.
To be fair I didn't realize the daughter died until that scene in the movie. I considered it might have happened but I held out hope it didn't.
I watched this maybe two weeks ago and have basically forgotten everything about it. That tells you something.
11:44 - "as threatening as the main cast of the sitcom *Dinosaurs"* you say?? Have you forgotten the BABY?? Wielding cookware, banging his dad on the head with a loud, "NOT THE MOMMA!!"
It was an awesome show.
The fart noise at the end was all I was waiting for. Thank you have a wonderful day..... LOL
I watched this movie on a plane. I don't know how they made Adam Driver fighting dinosaurs boring, but they managed it.
Same. Correct venue to watch it IMHO
The small handheld device in the cave found an alternative path but the giant advanced spaceship couldn't find an alternative path around the asteroid belt.
The fart at the end is the hardest I've ever laughed in the years I've watched the channel 😂
If you made a super cut of all the whistle gags you made for that scene I would watch hours of it.
This movie would have been so much better if we didn't know so much information before hand and if it was just Adam Driver, like Cast Away. But it still had a lot of issues.
“Don’t be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood”
is actually a longer movie title lol
Making the different whistle clips at the end was Hilarious!! Love the commentary!! Great work with this channel!!!
Wait! Wait! You forgot to do one more whistle trick: making the sound that comes out the five tones from “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.”
That would have made me laugh, then shut this and go watch that movie.
Adam deserves better roles than this. Dude carries this movie on his back
he chose to be in it himself and is literally one of two actors in it, other being a child so it's easy to carry a movie, he is not a good actor, he plays two characters - either Adam Sackler from Girls or Clyde Logan from Logan Lucky or combination of the two,
@@wiezyczkowata lol that would be 3 characters… and you obviously haven’t seen a Marriage Story
@@Baja5280 I saw every of his movies that's why I got to the conclusion I got, apparently you didn't if you think he is able to play any other character,
The Moment I saw the tittle 65 on Netflix I skipped the preview anticipating that you guys were going to rip this apart for me. Thank you for your service.
Never, in the 10+ years of watching this channel, have I accurately predicted an outtake. This time, though, I thought "I hope that hand whistle farts," and hoooo boy was I right
Honestly seeing Adam Driver teach 4 different whistles at the end was funny watching him every time XD So focused.
OMG loved the whistling gags at the end!
This movie was truly an incredible achievement in filmmaking. How one can make a movie about dinosaurs, space flight, and apocalyptic asteroid strikes so completely, terminally dull and pointless is a truly magnificent accomplishment. My kudos to the writers, director, and producers for managing to tell absolutely no story, with no identifiable plot, themes, or character development.
The only worthwhile element of this movie was Adam Driver's evident abilities - he actually shows emotion in some scenes, and his ability to do anything with this total, utter lack of any material is a tribute to his skills as an actor.
Good one...😂
The kilometer joke tickled me more than I expected. 😂
Mustard Seed sin was just awesome.
Keep in mind this whole movie could’ve been avoided by extra pilot
I was a little surprised that one of the hand whistles at the end wasn't a ship's horn.
I was expecting it, too.
or sexy sax man
I saw this in the theater and I did actually fall asleep at one point.
The whistles at the end were good, but I was disappointed you didn't do the Andy Griffith theme.
...oh, I'm old.
Saw this at the cinema on my birthday..loved it!
I've been waiting for a 65 sins video. Because it is one of the movies I wish that I could erase my memory.
I was hoping one of the whistles was going to be the sound of an Aztec Death Whistle, and have the little girl be terrified! Oh well, that lives in my head anyways.
That fart sound at the end pretty much sums up the last 10 or so years of movies and video games lol
Let's take a sin off for the casting of his daughter, she really looks like she could be his daughter in real life.
No. She doesn't.
Oh I've read some scathing reviews about this and the trailer was fascinating. Now I can "watch" the movie
Netflix or at least it was. Not a good movie. Great concept in theory. Terrible movie and execution
@@newsrapperit makes Dominion look like a masterpiece 🤧
Me: "Will there only be 65 sins?"
Cinema Sins: "How dare you, sir... I take umbrage!"
"ARTAX!!!" What, are you trying to make me cry at a movie again?
Because and For are not "meaningless" semantics.
Because in that situation implies blame on her, by changing to for confirms that he was choosing to do it under his own choice.
I think Mean Girls could be ideal for Thursday.
I was waiting and hoping to see if you'd do a big fart sound for the hand whistle, and you did not disappoint me!
This is one of the better cinamasins. Lmao 😂😂
The whistle montage should be used all the time now.
That guy and Leto should make a movie together and it'll be the movie I want to see least in all the world.
People that sort of look like each other for no reason. Combined personality of a turnip. All wannabe Keanus.
As I was watching this movie, I literally started counting each sin in the theater in my head
“Chances that the alien species look exactly like humans? SIN!”
Late title screen: “roll credits!”
The bonus bits includes Prehistoric Planet
My life is complete
"how can the creature know when he's not facing it" idk maybe he is underwater looking at his feet? -sin
8:49 - 9:05 - I loved Lethal Weapon 2, I love all the LW movies. My favorite parts of LW2 are the entire diplomatic immunity story with the South African villains officially setting up their own country in L.A., the entire toilet bomb situation with Murtaugh, Murtaugh's reaction to his daughter and boyfriend's condom commercial complete with the "condom tree" the guys at work tease Murtaugh with, introducing Leo Getz complete with his "They f*** you at the drive thru" rant. Now that Jeremy mentioned that movie, and gonna go watch it when I'm done watching this video
Just watched LW2 for the first time in like 5yrs a week ago and it was still so, so good!! Murtaugh, Riggs, get in here! We love all those LW movies so much!!
literally the only good thing about this movie was the projected cave fight, was innovative and unique
During the entirety of the ending meme segment, I was hoping for Adam Driver to do the Death whistle from Puss in Boots 2.😂
This movie definitely deserved 65,000,000 sins
Man I love dinosaurs and hand whistles but even for me this film was low on my ‘I’ll get around to it’ list. Thanks for creating this so I can finally put it to rest as ‘a meh movie’
I actually really enjoyed 65
Thank goodness! I thought I was the only one 😂
A movie can have sin and still be good. I liked it took. I love dinosaur movies and these dinos were pretty good
The movie's name is 65? That's worth 65 sins for me
That hand whistle is actually a loon call… which adds more questions.
I liked this movie. A fun dino flick that still had heart.
Personally I enjoyed the holographic fight thing. I thought it was an interesting way to do it. Also, and yes, I'm a nerd, those aren't T-rexs, or at least the last one isn't. They look more like gorgonopsia.
I’d compare it to a Deinosuchus crossed with an Indoraptor
The last thing looked to me like a sized up Fasolasuchus
@@jackmorgan1568 Fasolasuchus is not that sleek looking
@@gabriellittle2827 yeah but it's the closest imo.
The way y’all did the whistling scene mad times though 😂
You know, I saw the thumbnail and I thought: "Huh, that's a Keanu movie I've never heard of before."
One comment on your sin about why/how this film happened to be right when the asteroid hits the planet...the movie clearly shows that the ship caused an asteroid to change its course, and thus is directly responsible for the hit.
You missed the point of the sin. The point is that every dinosaur movie seems to focus on the asteroid part. It doesn't matter how cleverly they explain the coincidence of his timing, they still fell into the same cliche of making a dinosaur movie include the asteroid.
@@Lreclusa nope that was a different sin.
Yeah it was definitely way too tame of a movie compared to the trailer. It felt like a rejected PS4 game idea they turned into a movie.
This would be ten trillion times better as a video game rpg
I’m impressed by this video! Great work sir
How did I miss this 7 months ago?, glad I spotted it finally at least
Yeah the major sin of this movie is to "teach" the audience that decent healthcare is out of reach and expensive even in the future (while most today countries have decent HC)
'murica! 😂
I had... Such high hopes for this movie...
It's a good hood thing my sister turned down my invite to watch this, cuz i would have felt like such an ass to have subjected to her to that.
Thank you. I cheered at the end. I was anticipating that way too hard.
