      Yeah, the perps probably weren't bullied or abused at all and probably have none of their own issues to deal with. But I'm sure they're expected to be adults and move on and not take it out on others. Yet somehow the people they did take it out on shouldn't be held to the same standard. Just...shut up. They do not move on like nothing happened. Nothing will hit me harder than the day I overheard my bully in the counselor's office contemplating suicide. Pretending that the people who hurt you aren't as human as you are is the easy way out. You can either be a victim your whole life or you can nut the fuck up.

Some of us turn out as absolute sweethearts who never want anyone else to suffer the way we did, some of us harden our hearts and don't let anyone in because we always get hurt, and then some of us never heal properly and spiral out of control and the worse it gets the closer it gets to "MA"

    Uh, Jer, that's how most "needle drugs" work. Extremely quickly. That's the whole point of using a needle.

    • @bufordhighwater9872
      @bufordhighwater9872 11 місяців тому +16

      "Needle drugs" only work that quickly when administered intravenously. And the point of using a needle is to deliver controlled doses of a medicine more efficiently: meaning speed, quantity, and bioavailability. Smoking/inhalation is actually faster than IV, because the lungs go straight to the arteries, whereas veins need to still travel to the lungs to pick up oxygen.
      Now maybe, giving her the benefit of the doubt, she's not just a vet tech, but also a highly skilled phlebotomist and anaesthesiologist and she was able to perfectly hit the jugular veins of multiple people of varying sizes without perforating the vein, in poor lighting with just the right dose for everyone to go to sleep immediately without sending them into cardiac or respiratory arrest. Yes, then the effects would be closer to instant.
      Except that the animal tranquilizer she's probably using is usually administered intramuscularly, meaning it isn't absorbed into the bloodstream instantly. And we know she's not hitting their jugular, because she's just jabbing people no where near their jugular vein. And if she had been hitting their jugulars, she would have either perforated the vein, blown out the vein, or possibly caused an embolism.

      What buford said. While it's true that _IV_ drugs are very fast-acting, neither getting hit with a tranquilizer dart NOR someone stabbing a needle into you like they're Michael Myers with a kitchen knife will drop a person **remotely** as fast as it's depicted in every movie / TV show ever. By, like, orders of magnitude.

    • @whateverwhatever4026

      @@ferd617 Do they even name the drug in the film? I haven't seen this in years. It could very easily be that quick, although extremely unlikely while attacking someone like that. "Needle drugs" can and are that fast or faster. But like you both brought up, that's administering them correctly. Not just jabbing someone randomly....And I know for sure this isn't the first time this has come up on the Cinema Sins Channel and Jeremy is just now taking issue.
