I cannot wait until the full version comes out (hence I already pre-orderd it), but i do hope one thing kinda gets balanced is the health of the special infected.
I mean it in the way where if you are the only one left you're pretty much done for. I know that Turtle rock studios doesn't want people to solo blast through the campaign and I respect that. I just hope they find that balance where you can still (barely) survive when your entire team is down, but be punished for leaving your team behind
I feel the same way, the gunplay is great and the game is fun, but the whole card system is confusing and unneeded tbh, the maps are rather short and there's no downtime in those maps, the game director needs to chill with the spawns and has got to stop spawing special ridden every 1 second, the characters are a bit lackluster in terms that, atleast as of right now, have very few lines so you'll just hear the same voicelines over and over again, and finally, when you're already planning to have dlc during the closed alpha of the game, that's a horrible fucking sign and it makes me feel like this is going to be Evolve all over again.

After Evolve I just can't get excited for this, it feels like they are doing the same exact mistakes with the monetization.

I don't care if they sell skins for examples for chars, weapons, BUT if they put micro on gameplay things like you said, cards, new type of weapons, or exclusive maps and characters, well, this game will be dead in weeks
I like the Left 4 Dead franchise, but Back 4 Blood doesn't really seem like it's for me. They made the characters a little less interesting, or maybe too flashy for my taste. Graphics look great, but again, too flashy. The card system is my biggest problem. Why do we need it? The zombies and stuff are fine, I don't have any problems with that. They look okay.
Back 4 Blood's take on the "kill zombies, do objectives, run the fuck away" is a little too complex for me. Card drops, cards, specific skills and all. Yes, I could take the time to learn how it works, but is it fun? It's like learning how to play a card game because I was forced to.
There's also the possibility of modding the game (custom campaigns, survivor retextures, etc) not being possible, or heavily regulated. The reason why I keep playing Left 4 Dead is specifically because of that. The modding aspect adds a lot of replayability for the game.
So essentially: B4B will either be a great game or an absolute shitstorm on release, no in betweens.

@@markusmitchell8585 same I play l4d 1 and 2 still to this day its still holds up today there's this game thats coming out and I think that'll be the true successor to l4d its Evil Dead: The Game

The price of the game is laughable for what it is (NOT A TRIPLE A), and the regional prices are a joke.
I'm not saying this is going to kill the game, but it is going to make it quite inaccessible to a large audience for a long time, including myself.
The cards remind me of gobblegums in BO3 but I've been playing it alot recently so that could be it
The thing I like about this game is that it's hard. I haven't played it but from what I watched the difficulty seems to be tied to logic and competency. You can't just spray and pray everything in sight otherwise you will run out of ammo fast and the zombies are relentless with specials being threatening.
It looks super mediocre, I dont know how to feel about it

The annual pass got me a lil worried, I'd say do what Activision is doing with cod rn and make the dlc free with the trade off of (non buff) cosmetics being the trade off but since we haven't heard from turtle rock untill now I feel like this is most likely their best bet in the short term.

Idk why but that studio really had a problem with character designs.
Remember beta L4D2 characters? Those are detailed yes but completely unnoriginal and forgettable, the sample default image of a "zombie apocalypse survivor".
Im glad Valve redesigned them, L4D1 survivors are easy to look at, identifiable from a distance and truly stands out
Turtle Rock just made the first Left 4 Dead but Valve made Left 4 Dead 2

Why less views?
I love the graphics, and many other features such as sights on guns. But other than that, Back 4 Blood doesn't seem to be as good as the Left 4 Dead series. Everything feels off about it.

I fucking hate the card system when I play this game I just wanna pray and spray I don't need a whole card system if they wanted they could do a class system but if it has to level up I probably wouldn't like this game so much
mmmmmmm...I don't know. I think I'll stick with World War Z as my "Modern Left 4 Dead". The Main Issue with Back 4 Blood is that the Magazines are too small and Weapon Drops too few to get close to the feeling of a Left 4 Dead and the Card System doesn't seem to add all that much Value to it, besides picking what Weapon you want to start with.

They probably have an "Annual Pass" because the game probably won't be around or at least active in a meaningful way a year after release.

The l4d’s are timeless masterpieces. Sure it’s like a modern version of them. But there isn’t a whole workshop where you can download mods from others to make the game feel like it’s truly yours. I’d rather wait till release and watch some gameplay. I don’t wanna waste 60 dollars on a pile of glitchy garbage
this was the most dissapointing game i had, way bigger than cyberpunk dissapointment, first its not left 4 dead devs, majority of devs of left 4 dead are VALVE DEVS, back 4 blood devs showed time and time again they don't know how to do good games, like Evolve, and the fact that its inferior than left 4 dead made me hate it so much even the facial animations are worse its just a horrible game, sound design is worse, the meele damage on zombies are worse as well.
