This is what I think about too. You never know what is happening behind closed doors. It could be happening at your neighbors, in your neighborhood, in your town and no one would know until the ultimate tragedy happens and the police get involved. It kills me to think that there’s children suffering right now. About 10 minutes from me AJ Freund was murdered by his disgusting birth giver and his sperm donor took his tiny body and buried him in a field in the next town over before reporting him missing. No one knew what was happening. DCFS was notified by the local ER doctor because he had huge bruises and DCFS dropped the ball. One of those workers was just convicted. One was not.

In Canada today at public school a child can change their name and gender without even telling their parents. If the parents think their child is being groomed and complain, they can be jailed, fined, have their children abducted by child protective services and then the child can get hormone blockers, and surgery even though they can't drive a car, get a piercing or a tattoo or vote. There is no where safe for kids these days.

It is a simple way of looking at undesirable behavior in people. Imagine if people are just so complex, that we have both desirable and also cruel sides within us. This case reminds me so much of the book “A Boy Called It”. The authors mother chose him to be the main recipient of her sadistic abuse and used his older siblings to also perpetuate abuse against him because they feared for themselves and the mother always manipulated them to believe that their younger brother was bad and deserved everything he was getting. They were abusers but they were manipulated to be abusers by their mother and to a much lesser degree they were also abused by her. They also had no reason to think their mother’s behavior was abnormal. Truly a sickening story of just literal evil torture of a child who couldn’t defend himself.

He had no idea and chance of what love really looks like. Hearing the cruel torture to this young boy breaks my heart / brought me to tears. How can anyone live with themselves after committing such heinous acts?!? He was punished for being tired, hungry, and moving. I’m surprised they allowed him to breathe. And to make her other son participate in this is psychologically effed up. He sees first hand what could happen to him the moral standing against fear had to have caused so much trauma and skewed his own moral compass and understanding . His own family tortured the helpless boy literally to death. I am the voice for my son - I am his biggest advocate. To think his voice and guide in this world killed him for merely being alive. He died in pain-and all alone. I pray his spirit is at rest and peace now.

@@MadinaTall-f9wnah, i wouldn’t say that’s normal. Normal is protecting your younger sibling. I’m speaking as someone who was abused and traumatized, by a parent and step-parent, and who has diagnosed c-ptsd. I stood up for my younger brother (2.5 years younger) when I was much younger than Paul (starting around the age of 8/9) MANY times. I stood up for him against physical violence and at the threat of, and execution of, other extreme punishments (not nearly as extreme as Timothy had to endure however). I’m also diagnosed with ASD (high functioning) so mental disorders aren’t an excuse either, as I’ve seen other commenters use that alongside Paul being afraid himself. I’d fight my parent(s) to the death before I allowed even a fraction of this torture to take place, let alone participate in it.
No one’s trauma/ reaction to trauma is the same so ofc my experiences don’t define everyone else’s, but it’s a false narrative that fear overrides love/ morals, or is an excuse to behave so cruelly. Paul even said he didn’t love Timothy enough. He feels bad cause he knows it was wrong and he should have done something sooner, and if he knows it’s wrong, then there’s no excuse for him to not get help or TRY. Even if he was afraid in the moment and that made him complacent, he would have gotten help or tried to if he felt bad and loved his brother.

Seeing that lady shaking her head makes my blood boil.
It makes me feel very conflicted when a parent makes a child an accessory, especially if the child accomplice has a learning disability. She coerced, bullied, and brainwashed him. She was always watching. She forced this kid to torture his brother, while wanting him to think she was always watching. This whole thing makes me so mad. She couldn't be a mom, she had to be a jailer too. Kids trust their parents, they want to please them and be accepted. When a parent forces hell on their kids, there are only victims.

Maybe YOU could deliver justice seeing how most defendants aren't in jail while they fight the charges. I think it's so crazy people wish horrible abuse on every inmate but also want that inmate to be the hand of justice. Are the inmates animals who deserve abuse or are they like-minded people who deserve human rights? Or maybe you just think they are animals here to carry out your desires? Do it yourself you could actually get away with it.

    This is heartbreaking.
School districts need to implement a way of checking on children who are home schooled. Too often, abused children are taken out of school so the parents can hide the abuse.

@jturtle5318 oh I 100% agree. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be punished. Abuse is weird though. Control is weird. Fear is weird. Paul doesn't seem very socialized either and if he's grown up seeing this behavior he could think its normal. Again. Not an excuse, but a possible explanation

@TALLDRINKUVWATER first of all relax. Idk if you read my other reply to the other person or not but I said he still needed to be punished. Sometimes part of someone's abuse is being forced, coerced or threatened into abusing others. You can know that it's wrong, and still do it if you're in fear of it happening to you, or them getting an even worse punishment if you refuse. Psychological abuse IS abuse.
