    “You would have lost the very thing you wanted to torture.” FINALLY a judge that understands the difference between mental illness and sadism. She’s not mentally ill. She got pleasure from the total control, dominance and power she had over this child. The torture happened in the privacy of her home where she could enjoy it at leisure. Thank you judge for speaking for Timothy.

      That’s the way her type are, in fact narcissists typically operate that way. They want their target/victim under their thumb so they can continue to to get their “ supply “ which is control and power. I had a father like that.

      @KGW_Park 11 місяців тому +22

      I respect the intent of what the judge said, but I agree more with the officer that interviewed Paul. It was a twisted sense of "discipline" to get a child to "submit" to the parent's authority. Timothy was her "problem child" that was keeping her from her independent career goals. A nuisance of no value, that she deeply resented to the point of senseless torture and death. I think she ultimately would rather have him die and get on with her life, rather than enjoy the torture. She wanted FREEDOM! Paul was the child that willingly complied with her behavior - a "good boy", that craved her acceptance and love.

      @ShellyCline 11 місяців тому +104

      @@KGW_Park then you obviously haven't read her texts. This had little or nothing to do with discipline. She DEFINITELY enjoyed what she did to that poor poor child.

      I don't want to start an argument or anything I just want to leave an idea out there and hope it means something to other people but the biggest problem we as a society face is treating children like adults. Whether it's someone trying to date a teenager or a parent abusing them it all comes from a place of being able to convince yourself that the child you're talking to is just as mentally capable as yourself and holding them to that standard. I'm not trying to justify anyone that's abused a child but I do want other people to look inside and think about what they get mad at children for and think about how reasonable it is for a child to know any better.

    I’ve tried a lot of cases in front of a lot of judges and I like this judge from this video. I like that he really paid attention to the trial, reviewed the evidence after the guilty verdict, and thought about everything thoroughly before he made his decision. @totoroidafter they read the sentence its VERY common for a judge to speak from a personal standpoint. Leticia Stauch's judge did it, the Vallow-Daybell judge did it, the Larry Nassar judge gave a wonderful speech after his sentencing. This is their time to be just that: _emotional!_ What are you even talking about? 🙄

      Yes he has a good heart that Judge. Sitting in his car after the trial thinking about things lets one know he listened and he listened well. And it hurts him to think no one would be there for Timothy to read a victim impact statement. What a sad sad wicked world where a parent and sibling slowly kills one's own children.
