This is what things look like when people do it right….awesome! Totally agree with turning an old truck new rather than buying a new truck these days
Your upholsterer is a freakin GENIUS!!!!
The interior looks like a take on what a king ranch leather upholstery would've looked like in 87 if they were available back then. Very nice.
The older model Ford f150 always been my DREAM TRUCK. And you did a fantastic job at rebuilding this truck y'all should be proud of yourself's. Y'all made this awesome truck look beautiful.
Thanks Eric! These late eighties F150's are such great trucks, we were really lucky to have a great customer who wanted to invest in her truck and bring it back to this level.
What would something like that cost today? I have an '84 F150 XLT regular 8ft bed and would love to see it transformed like this? Thanks
This is the stuff I'd love to start doing for my channel when I get out of college, got an 87 F150 that I'd love to tear down to the bare bottom and make it showroom quality like this! Y'all did a fantastic job and inspired another car UA-camr to keep it up!
This is not a mechanic, this is art
Amazing work. That upholstery section of the video is epic. So good!
I have a 1990 f150 4x4 with the 5.0 engine. This year I had planned on starting work on my truck during the winter. Like the last five Winters have been very mild except this one. Like this one mine is black also.
Some of my friends don't understand why I would keep this truck. My truck only has 134,000 mi on it and other than the typical rust is that I have a major oil leak and before using it you have to put oil into it. Other than that it runs perfectly fine.
A lot of my friends own new trucks the ones that cost 70-80,000 and when they need to do something involving a pickup truck they come over and borrow mine. They don't want to have a pile of dirt in the back of their trucks or they're not long enough to carry something that they just bought. I even have people knocking on my door wanting to buy my truck.
And after watching this video I love to see my truck look so shiny once again. No matter what I do with it it will still be a pickup truck and it will still get used as a pickup truck. I don't abuse my vehicles all of my vehicles run perfect with the exception being my truck with an oil leak.
I honestly wasn't going to do much as far as interior. I have the original vinyl bench and no headliner vinyl floor and roll up windows. After seeing what you did inside I think I'm going to change a few things. I have always planned on putting sound deadening pad on the floor to take some of the noise out. I've been on the fence about putting a headliner in but if I do I will treat it the same way as the floor. My truck is so original it still has the factory radio.
I really truly enjoyed this video. I made sure to save it so it could give me motivation to get mine done quicker. Almost definitely gave you a thumbs up I was already a subscriber so I couldn't check that button again.
Again great job.
Impressive, I love the interior, the smell of leather on a classic truck, nice job.
the first truck i ever rode in as a child with my dad was this very model of truck. i had such fond memories of it. its nice to see such a classic truck brought back to life
Wow 🤩 The 87 flareside is super rare and it’s hard to find a clean one
So cool to see the process of how the seats & interior were done!
8:07 ive been a gearhead my whole 39 years and a mechanic but seeing the woman doing the interrior is such an insane amount of talent! I've hand sewn a few things in my life and the amount of talent and patients it takes to do this tedious work is insane!
A lovely assortment of B R O W N for the interior. And I LOVE that Windsor ranch!
"Why do you call it a ranch?" Because that's where the horses live, bud!
Love the build but the lady done the interior take my hat off to her that King ranch interior is nice great work guys 💪💪
I just got a 1990 Ford F150 4.9 300 4x4 Custom to restore. Has 155,000 on her.
The truck you guys did looks amazing. Not usually a fan of brown but that chocolate interior is tasteful. Excellent job everyone!
155K is not that much on a 4.9 300 I6. At worst it may need gaskets or valve seals. The issues on those years is electronics and automatic overdrive transmission. I knew someone that had a 91' Bronco with similar issues so they replaced the 5.0 302 Fuel Injection and Overdrive Transmission with a 351w 4 BBL Carburetor and a C6 Transmission. You can't do things like that with modern equipment.
I love these fords. Just sold my 2020 dually so I can put some real money towards my 87 short box.
Interior work is gorgeous
Man thats one beautiful 87 Ford F150 brother
That lady does amazing work
Wow!! Awesome! Nicely done!
That interior is beautiful
These trucks were a one year only thing for the 1987-1991 generation, so she's awesome for wanting to restore it and keep it around. 1987 was the last year for this style Flareside box and the only one with rounded wheel wells. The previous generation's wheel wells were boxy.
Asombroso trabajo total!... tapicería de lujo, artesanía en su máxima expresión
Wauw man, what a great job!! Realy! Costs "more" than a 2024 one, i think ; materials, labor-costs , lots of time (and love) etc. But awesome!!
Well, if this isn't AMAZING!.Than i don't know what is.I think this truck looks better than a day when it came of assembly line in MI
I like the music that starts at 4:53. Awesome.
JUST BEAUTIFUL
No comment. Speechless !
This is soooo nice.
I'd love it for my 1990 F series to be close to this. Restoring the engine. chassis, installing AC, renewing the interior and perhaps a front differential for off roading.
These trucks are future classics, good luck with yours!
Nice job folks
I just Failed in love with that truck
I love how the guys use weld through primer
Excellent work. Truck looks beautiful....I have the same truck, I inherited. Mine has the 4.9 with a 4 speed manual. Again excellent work.
Thanks, we were excited to do this build because we love this body style, but not many people are restoring them yet. I think these trucks are set to start appreciating greatly. Hang on to yours!
@@ClassicCarStudioI need to get mine restored, From the little research I have done..... It's a rare truck, limited numbers?. The cab need a total rebuild its rusted petty bad. Regardless I am definitely keeping it. I think the truck original came from up north.
4.9L, T18 Transmission, NP205 Transfer Case, with a 8.8" or 9" Ford Traction Lok Differential is great for off road or plowing.
@@ClassicCarStudio -that would be great! I bought an 88 x-cab a few months ago, and plan to continue to fix it up as I use it. I've been happy to find as many parts as I have. I wanted/needed a truck & absolutely could not justify spending what a new one costs these days. I spent $4,400 for a good framed, working pickup with 4x4 & a manual transmission...& yeah it still needs work, but I absolutely do not regret my decision. I look forward to how this one could turn out & increased popularity of these trucks. Nice work on yours!
Beautiful
please do all your videos like this moving forward
Hey Chad, thanks for your comment. We're trying to put out more restoration videos, but it's time consuming to create. Please like and share if you want to see more stuff like this - it's a small thing but really does help. Thanks!
@@ClassicCarStudio I like this type of build video also. It shows just how much work goes into a restoration.
It is a lot of work and time to put the vid together. I appreciate you doing this.
@@ClassicCarStudio how much would a full restore like this run you? Awesome content keep it up!
Supperrrrrrrrr clean truck,
beautifullllllll👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
When are y’all back on tv miss it ..
What a beast
I wonder how long it actually took them to restore this one?
I had the 86' of this truck.
Very nice great workmanship, but I’m a fan of 100% factory correct be that the engine, wheels, interior, etc.
I hate how you can't use the stock spare-tire mounting position when you ad a tow kit though.
That bed!! What and where did you get it?
How much did this cost her? i want to do this to my extended cab 86
I’d pick this over any new Tesla.
I have a triple lock 1996 Lexus Land Cruiser and a 1997 F250 4X4 (Raven Black). The Cruiser is a queen and she is royalty but I still stop and look at the F250 then smile. I built her from junk and I absolutely love that truck. She was worth every penny that I put into her and I wouldn't sell or trade her for any other vehicle in the entire world.
BELLA !!!!!!!!!!!
my loveee!!!
Sound like you want to advertise Holley fuel injection. Stock fuel injection work better and will be worth more.
I’m building 1996 F 150 4.9 5 speed, 100% original, Runs like new, No way I would change the engine for a dam 302 POS
Wow.
What type of frame coating did you guys use?
Perfect, beautiful 😊
How much is a restore like that?
I have a 85 f150 that I’m trying to replace the engine. The one it currently has is bad. But I want a carburetor engine and remove all the fuel injector stuff any reconditions?
Nice
Absolutely beautiful truck but a 92-96 obs would be alot more valuable. That being said, amazing work. Thanks for showing us the process.
Where did you get those mirrors
how much did this cost? like a million $$?
I wonder how much it cost to do this
Agree! Very nice build! I am very curious on the cost of a build like this.
Alot
I wonder too...I have an 89 Lariat that needs a restoration.
I would say 20 to 30 k may be more depending on condition of the truck to start with
Awesome awesome awesome. What’s a build like this cost? 25k?
Anything taken totally apart and rebuilt is spendy. We had more than that in parts cost alone 😬
87 f250 with the 460 original owner here. Wish I had 20k to drop in it to make it look like this! But honestly, I don't, and i like her the way she is for now!
What truck bed is that? I'd love to put one that style on my 96.
How much was this restore? I have an 87 long bed extended cab with a 5.0 . I like the fuel injected engine in it. The truck is in good condition. I am interested in having it restored.
I just bought an 89. What something like this restoration cost?
What paint is that ?
Cruise control buttons and actuator are missing.
How muchdid this restoration cost
was curious what the price tag is on something like this, i have an 89 id like to restore in the future
Well over 50 grand
How much do you charge
hola, cuanto cuesta actualme te ese vehículo ?
Raven Black?
Boa tarde carro US mags m-one 1968 Chevy c-10 vai amém BOM 👌💪
Alguien sabe la medida de la llanta?
What was the cost to do this I’m interested in doing my 1995 F150.
Give us a ring and ask for Chris, he can walk you through it. Varies wildly depending on what you start with and what you want to do with your truck: (314) 568-4200
Why wheels are those?
Toma mi dinero
¿Cuánto cuesta hacer eso?
Yo quiero una.
should have leveled the front
SWEEEEET🤳👍🏼
Any multiport EFI is better than that Sniper TBI trash, Holley even makes the Terminator that is so much better.
a 302, why? As great a job as you did. Should have a been a big block, something with some torque to run that 4 wheel drive.
Phenomenal Job🤘 I got 1990 F150 Short Bed, as soon as I win the lottery, you guys gonna work on my truck too, guaranteed future work for you guys. One of these days 💰🛻🤑
🤤
How much did that cost to do that?
I suppose you could look at it as a new vehicle. So if it was 30,000 it would be worth it if you could afford it. But probably $50,000. Just to be able to drive an old school truck like this .
Over 50 grand
Best way to view this.....x 2 speed muted.
How much?...... ball park figure please to do all that work
#BricknoseFlareside
Facing white letter tires inward should be a crime
Dang, 40,000 dollar rebuild on a truck that would be lucky to sell for 20,000
You can probably double, maybe even triple, that #.
@@Mike-nq3vd double for sure, and if it was mine, it would bring every penny I put into it, or else it would not leave my driveway. If ya want it, ya gotta pay for it.
And still more worth it than buying a new one!
Seeing a downgrade to TBI made me click away, the factory multiport EFI is great.
ford didnt make those trucks that nice
