Nice to see a dad out doing something with his hands for his kids instead of paying for someone to do it. Great video. Great lesson on what a little sweat equity can give you and a great lesson to the kids as well! All around great video! Nice job dad!
Cool video. My first truck back in the 80s during high school was a 1980 F100 step side. I love these trucks. They’re tough as nails. I now drive a 1990 F-Super Duty. I just can’t justify the price of these new high dollar trucks that are impossible to maintain yourself.
That bondo repair will come back to haunt you later when it gets moisture under it and rusts it out worse. I've worked in the body shop industry for many years and have seen a lot of bad repairs It will probably work temporarily but I would definitely weld in a patch and undercoat it well
As a certified collision repair tech, that Bondo job made me feel like I was getting shot other than that it’s great to see you getting er done. I really liked the red cedar door handles.
It is so much easier to work on these classic trucks compared to the older classic cars/trucks from 1940s because these 80s 90s trucks still run good, with no rust it only takes few days to make the look brand new again.
That seat looks great! One thing, Careful teaching your kids on the table saw, keep that blade 1/4” above the wood, not 2”! Love the bull nose Fords!! Cool choice of truck!!
I like the old Bullnose! I had a similar, possibly worse experience, with my floor mat; try as hard as I may I wasn't getting those wrinkles out.....I swapped the whole cab and the floor mat was the most difficult part of the job. Great work on the video! 👍😁
Good job, Dad. I thought the cedar door handles would look stupid, but it works very well in the cab - it looks great and the bench seat came out great as well. Lucky kids!
LMC truck has that channel rubber for the window passenger and driver side part number for that would be 49 - 9300 channel rubber you did a nice job on the bench seat the truck is looking good.
Dont use bondo. My dad is restoring his 1972 Ford Bronco, and he's finding a shit ton of bondo where the previous owner was too lazy to fix dents after it being in a slight accident

Never seen bondo used to "fix" a floor board - it would seem it would break off when the floor board flexes.

I learned to drive on an '82 F150 (4x2) manual. Great truck.

Truck is Awesome! I drive a blue 1980 F-150 Ranger XLT standard. Feels so good to be teaching stick to my son and daughter.

That bench seat color is nice 👍
Nice job 👏
Where did you get the seat cover from and price need one for my 85
I found a local shop here in Middle Tennessee. It cost me about $1,200.
People. Don't fill holes with bondo. It is stupid and never holds. Weld it shut or glass it over.
Good Job 👍 have an 83'
Hey, don't knock the green interior. I have an '81 Ranger Lariat with an all green interior. I think that's about as rare as they get😁
I loved the mint green interior my grand father had it in a 79 Marquis It seems by the mid 80s it was phased out

You all pleased God bless you all and be with you all the time happy Halloween 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 baby holiday season for all of you
Did you paint the plastic around the glovebox while it was still mounted or did you ever take it off?
I did not remove the glovebox.
Dont use bondo. My dad is restoring his 1972 Ford Bronco, and he's finding a shit ton of bondo where the previous owner was too lazy to fix dents after it being in a slight accident
What paint did you use for the interior dash and door trim?
Nice job! Thanks for sharing. Where did you get that seat? Im looking for something similar for my 1990 f250.
Local family run shop in middle TN.
@@JohnBullOutdoors Ok, thank you.
Where did you order the interior parts from, especially the seat, I just bought an 86 and need to fix up the interior
I got the seat refinished at a local shop in middle TN.
Do you mind me asking how the truck cost you?
What kind of glue did you use?
Like 3 10, I subscribed
Only thing I wish those seats would do is offer the backseat cup holder fold down
LMC has all of these parts.
I just got an 82’ f150 explorer. Do you have a part number to the box of those plastic clips you got? I can only find a package of 6 lol
I can't remember where I purchased them. I'll try to find out.
Found it. Aaveco 15461 Trim Panel Retainers
Hard to find used manual transmission vehicles anymore 😩
300 straight 6
I wish it still had the original straight 6.
Hey John been wanting one of these bullnose fords if you’ll ever want to sell it please let me know
I don't think my daughter would let me. :)
LMC has the window track rubber
They have everything for this truck …including weld-in floorboard patch panels lol
check out lmc truck
It hurts my heart to see that Bondo job 😢
Yeah, stopped watching after that.
I like this video, but I want to hear from you in your description, not ChatGPT!
why are my comments being deleted, use heat om that material baseball to push it in
MIXING BONDO ONLY USE THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL SIZE NO MORE / IT GETS HARD FAST
