My favorite Jordan story is probably the one where he was in team USA before he was drafted playing against established players like Bird, Magic, Thomas, etc... And Bird told the coach he was ready to trash talk the rookie and the coach advised him not to because "this kid is a little different from the others" as Jordan went on to outscore Bird in the scrimmage. I think that's how that story went

My favorite MJ story is the type Michael Jordan secretly desired to win versus the Detroit Pistons in 1990 and he lost 93-74 and was on the back of the bus crying and yelling at teammates. I have never seen him be so disappointed over a game in his life. The interview after the game live on CBS was really difficult and you could hear the hurt in his voice. I said after that game, "Detroit better beat him next year because once he wins or overcomes the Pistons, no team will defeat him." The rest is history.

And Worthy's college roommate said, "Oh, that kid is still in high school!" LOL LOL LOL

Reggie Lewis (RIP) got 4 blocks on Jordan. He was the closest to being the Jordan container. No one could actially stop MJ of course.

Going to the basket as often as he had would give those players opportunities to block his shot more often than not. No big deal. And he still got his numbers, shooting great percentages, and helped the team win. THAT is what counts!

Saw Dr. J when he played for the Virginia Squires. I saw MJ as Magic season ticket holder. They were both dominant players. The game was different in the eras each played. Guys that could fly? Connie Hawkins, Gus Johnson, Julius, David Thompson, MJ, Vince Carter, Shawn Kemp....
Erving carried teams. Mike had great teams surrounding him.
