•3 more all defensive team selections
•4000 more points / bron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer lol.

Charles Oakley was the “Super Intendant” for the 90’s Knicks. He went about his Work keeping all the pieces operating at maximum efficiency. The team played stronger and tougher even if Charles was just watching from the bench.
Oak displayed a solid personality and self confidence.
Overwhelmed the interviewer. Controlled the narrative the with a genuine demonstration of balance and character.

So I would start my team with MJ and while others would pass on him (picking Kareem, Lebron, Kobe, Magic, Bird, Wilt, Russel, Shaq, etc) I would scoop Hakeem on the way back..

Oakley did it all with grit, fire, determination. He blanketed his opponent, set the tone and enforced the interior defense, protected Ewing at the rim and cleaned the boards on both ends.
In short, he was magnificent.
We love the Oak Man.

Jordan retired in his prime twice. It was the toughest play, the hardest fouls, the hardest defense. Labron is good but the game is not the same. It's weaker for Labron. That makes Labron not as great as MJ.

James Saratore When did Brons era start 2010 lol. Kobe was the best player from 04-05 season to 09-10 probably. Maybe 08-09 since he got older, but he continued to win. Bron wasn't considered in the debate till he started winning MVP'S in 09. It was still debatable at that time.
Mektek19 lebron was in the debate before that, Jordan wasn't seen as the by far and large best player in the league until about 6 years in 90-91 when he won his first championship. I know he already had an MVP in 87-88 I think it was but magic one the year before that and two years after that. It was still seen as magics era with Jordan on the come up. Very similar to what you said with Kobe being considered the best of 05-10. Lebron has already established himself in the greats of greats category along with Jordan russell wilt Kareem bird and magic. You can't compare eras though the game is so different. I'm sure you've heard it a million times but the NBA has never seen the type of offense we have now, having said that though the physicality of the 90s completely outmatched what it is now and to compare the game in the 90s to now is like comparing flag football to tackle. And Russell winning 11 rings is absolutely disgusting but that was also when there was no 3 point line and he's defending and scoring on guys who are 4 inches shorter than him. What about Wilt scoring 50 a game for a year?! Can't compare across eras

Charles is a class act,and I’m getting to like you better and better,you showed respect and asked the right questions,but don’t let it go to your head.A brief history I played at Archbishop Malloy my cousin Brian Winters didn’t make the varsity as a sophomore I was on the freshman team so we practiced together before the Varsity which consisted of some great players Kevin Joyce ,Brian Adrian etc.That summer our families rented a bungalow in the Rockaways,the summer before my freshman year,there was a basketball hoop next to a sandlot baseball field on 86th street,me and Brian played ball everyday of every hour ,he grew and developed a mean outside shot,he could hit from anywhere on the court ,the original 3 point shot,I also got better,my claim to fame was me coming off the bench on the freshman Malloy team against Saint Johns ,scored 24 points we one by one point on my two for two free throw shots as the game ended.Yust thought I’d tell this story to show you I have basketball rights and can critic you on your job,I do like you .

@@LeadfootLou You probably wouldn't see the difference. Jordan is using a tactic to demoralize the opponent when he says "I'm gonna drop fifty on you." James is only happy when his team scores if it earns him an assist to add to his total. That's why he has to have the ball so much. Jordan's #'s dropped when he ran the triangle offense. Lebron would never run a legitimate offense because he wouldn't allow himself to lose any points or assists because he knows he can't catch Jordan by winning chips, he has to try to pad his stats to come at Jordan. Anyone that knows basketball knows that Jordan sacrificed #'s to win 6 championships.

Players that have high assist numbers are considered unselfish. Nobody ever referred to MJ as unselfish. MJ is the GOAT but he was very lucky to have had a general manager who knew what players to put around him, one of the greatest coaches of all time and his team fit around him like a glove. LeBron never had that luxury. He had to build teams himself.
