      First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright The fundamental problem with CC's argument is that it's based on emotion instead of logic. It's a fact that every sport is tainted and testing is always out paced by innovation. So, it's absurd to count out people who were caught because someone else outed them without acknowledging all of the people who made it through in secrecy.

      First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright Aye Nick you're right, we all make mistakes. You just made one daring to defend a big cheater. The learning lesson from this is "don't cheat or you will not be a HOF" period!

      I agree with CC, but following his logic with regard to HGH and the football hall, should Peyton Manning be kept out then? The evidence that he used HGH is pretty irrefutable.

      EliTheRealist1 only someone insecure would have to continually talk about their accomplishments that are public records for that anyone can look up. They don’t add validation or credibility. It’s self serving. And it comes from a small place.

      Coke is not a performance enhancer. A weakened heart does not help. One year Barry Bonds looked like Deion Sanders in size, but when he got on the junk, he looked like the Hulk.

Taking a wild guess anyone familar with Dwight Gooden and his drug uses i think was because of him being shy. i do think even coffee, chewing tabacco anything thst makes you play better is a enhancer.

    A lot of people tend to forget, there was a time when steroids in professional baseball was not illegal. Barry Bonds, Mark Maguire, and Sammy Sosa looked up, and seen other guys taking it, and winning awards, World series, golden gloves, and ect, and said why not. You can only blame these guys so much, but Major league baseball should shoulder most of the blame. Only when it became mainstream knowledge that steroids was not illegal did they ban it. By then these guys had already hit 50, 60, and 70 homeruns. At one time to hit 40 plus homeruns guaranteed you an all-star spot. But when the average guys starting hitting 50 plus, ticket sales sky rocketed! There was a player that admitted steroid use in an interview with ESPN, and he won a golden glove, had the most homeruns in the NL, was the NL MVP! How could these players compete? Now we vilify these players, and that guy's in Canton now. With no asterisk, and was a 1st ballot Hall of Famer! You can't blame the players, MLB is the blame, and they took the money, and then pointed the fingers. Just my 2 cents...

    • @willgoddiess6560
      @willgoddiess6560 5 років тому +2

      To add to that the MLB was losing interest from fans. Then the players from the steroid era brought interest back to the game only for the league to turn their back on them after they made the money.

    I have not problem with Bonds and Clemens getting in, if they are voted in by the committee.
    If the voters don't put them in, I'm good with that too. If they get in, their plaque should note if they were suspended fro PEDs. That's totally fine with me because they were Hall of Fame players before that

    Interesting how CCs opinion of the Pro Football Hall of Fame has become so incredibly positive when compared to how he used to speak of it in all of those years before he became a member.
    Just think of how much different this entire rant would have been if he was still not a member.
    And it's absolutely adorable how he gives it some sort of exalted ethical status compared to the other Halls of Fame.

    Why does he have to bring up the fact that the guy kicking him out was a "very upset white man" kicking out a "black kid"? Lol, he literally admits to breaking in to the stadium, yet paints himself as a victim because of the color of his skin. If you actually think about what he said, it's pretty pathetic. That same upset white man, would have chased a white kid out as well. You literally weren't supposed to be there.

A NFL player who used and abused illegal drugs during his career and was inducted into the pro football hall of fame is saying a MLB player who used and abused illegal drugs shouldn't be inducted into the pro baseball hall of fame. Since Chris Carter brought up the Good Lord a couple of times I would think that he knows that the Good Lord said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"
