First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright The fundamental problem with CC's argument is that it's based on emotion instead of logic. It's a fact that every sport is tainted and testing is always out paced by innovation. So, it's absurd to count out people who were caught because someone else outed them without acknowledging all of the people who made it through in secrecy.

You can't understand, because you can't relate. Him talking about himself adds validation, and credibility to his statements. He's not the only one either.

Coke is not a performance enhancer. A weakened heart does not help. One year Barry Bonds looked like Deion Sanders in size, but when he got on the junk, he looked like the Hulk.

ive known military men in boot camps who were doing it, and staying up all night multiple days in a row. It does increase blood flow, alertness, and ability to stay away and not have to worry about hunger. Its a terrible drug, but that doesnt mean it doesnt have benefits in certain scenarios

I had teammates in HS and college who did Coke(before/during games) and I would have to say on a game by game basis it did give them the edge on a lot of other players who didn't use it. The baseball Hall of Fame isnt a history museum, its about the individual players, and what they meant to the game.

I agree with some of the points they're both making, but with the logic CC is using about performance enhancers, then anyone known to have cheated should be removed from the Hall of Fame. If you feel that they don't deserve to be in based on the merits of their decisions then you should remove anyone whose been known to have utilized that advantage.

#1 It was never proven that Bonds used steroids. There are guys in the HoF that had as much evidence against them but they got in.
#2 Bonds is the one and only guy with 500 home runs and 500 steals, no one else in the history of baseball even has 400 & 400. This stat alone should of made him a first ballot hall of famer.
#3 Bonds won 8 Gold Gloves, 12 Silver Slugger and was an All-Star 14 times.
Quite frankly Bonds is easily one of the top 10 , if not top 5, greatest players of all time! It's absolutely ridiculous that he isn't in yet. (Also Rose should be in the HoF as well, the argument against him is idiotic, oh no he bet money on his own team to win)
Except it is basically proven. I mean look at him 98, 99, 01, it’s pretty obvious he roided. Sure he was good before roids he ruined his chances when he did, same with McGwire,Sosa, etc.

I seriously don't think I could disagree with Cris any more than I do. My kids don't know Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens used steroids, and honestly they aren't walking through the hall of fame idolizing those guys. By the time these kids realize the truth about some of these guys they're old enough to understand it and deal with it. Cris is acting like a kid in 2022 is gonna go visit the hall of fame with his dad and look up and see Barry bonds and think "hey I know barry used steroids and he made it, so I guess I can use them too." This is beyond ridiculous

I have not problem with Bonds and Clemens getting in, if they are voted in by the committee.
If the voters don't put them in, I'm good with that too. If they get in, their plaque should note if they were suspended fro PEDs. That's totally fine with me because they were Hall of Fame players before that

The committee is way to hypocritical. They say yes to David Ortiz and he admitted to steroids. But Bonds and others told No.
I agree with everything Chris Carter said because if you make the wrong decision you will pay for it in the long run and Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens are paying the price because they haven't made the Hall Of Fame. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017.

Barry Bonds was a HOF hitter before the juice though, and thats really only counting the anabolic roids not the regular roids most athlete's take for injury and recovery.
case in point Steph curry been on roids since his second year in the league for those ankles, roids are NOT only about turning Brolic and putting on 15-20 lbs of muscle.

To be fair, Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, etc are all recognized in the Hall for their achievements. They have the bonds 756 ball, McGwires 62nd, etc on display. So you still learn about them at the Hall.
The plaques are what separates "Hall of Famers".
