Where will Josh Rosen be drafted?
First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright why do you hate the smart white man?
Hope not the Bills!!! I hope the browns
College and pro ball is different I definitely wouldn’t take Rosen over Darnold after this
First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright that saying is backwards because totum polls work the other way elders go on the bottom and youth on top.
1st RD 5th pick lol
Looking back on this seeing how things went for Rosen, CC was right.
‘There were 9 mistakes ahead of me’
This is written on his NFL tombstone
R.I.P. Josh Rosen NFL career.
Cris Carter was 100% correct on Rosen
One of the few to warn everyone about Rosen since late ‘17
Those of you trashing on CC, look at Josh Rosen after 2 years in the league.
CC basically telling Rosen to "Shut up and throw". This isn't that deep.
knox
CC making it deeper than that. If he just said that, I would’ve respected that.
Josh Rosen can’t even do that! He is now on his fifth NFL team.
Josh Rosen - "Football is just a sport, its not everything in life" .. Chris Carter's response "He won't ever live that long with that mindset"
Well he didn’t sooooo
And he was right
Rosen's mentality is why he is now one of the biggest bust we've ever seen, CC was right
Not every thought that creeps into your mind needs to be spoken. Sometimes it's best to just keep your mouth shut.
turns out he was right
I'm here after ANOTHER PICK 6 THROWN BY JOSH ROSEN!
This show was so much better with CC...
CC literally criticized josh for not being poor saying people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds “want it more” in a past segment. So now when josh says yea I may be able to be successful and not work at McDonald’s (which is a generic way of saying minimum wage job, it’s an expression like flipping burgers) but I still desire to play and win, CC criticizes him. You can’t have it both ways. All Josh is saying is that his family wealth has no bearing on his desire to play football and CC is being resentful for no good reason.
J B no he didn't you didn't listen , what Chris Carter is saying is everybody didn't have the same opportunities in life that he did nobody wants to work at McDonald's outside of college kids who are trying to maybe work their way through college because their parents aren't Rich but there are people who are there because they need to feed their family and they don't want to resort to a criminal lifestyle so rather work there, the Rosen kid is a goof, and most white kids from the burbs won't get it
Kid90 Est89 you’re taking out of context everything else CC has said though. Like I said in previous segments cc thinks if you come from a wealthier background you don’t want it more than people who came from poorer families. Which is ridiculous. Saying yes I wouldn’t have to work at McDonald’s is another way of saying yes if football doesn’t work out then will be able to find a job in which I can maintain a similar standard of living. But he wants to play football because it’s what he desires to do and wants to excel at. That’s all it means
Correct. CC is misusing the McDonalds comment, he’s not understanding where it’s coming from or what’s it supposed to mean which is distracting me from any of his other points.
@@JB-wc9hn When you're families livelihood is dependant on you playing football, you tend to care more. The fact that Josh Rosen says that so non chalant shows you how little he cares.
Banquet Meal that’s a false equivalent. People from wealthier backgrounds have desires and a competitive drive too. They can be just as hungry for success in the NFL as anyone else. Guys like Aikman and Brady are extremely competitive and didn’t come from poor backgrounds
Most kids don’t “need” football... its an illusion. Kids feel and its often made out to be like its the only way out. Don’t be mad cause a kid has options and realizes that.
Cliff Paul Apples and oranges. He comes off as entitled.
No he's right, sometimes its the only way out. He didn't answer the question intelligently
Terrance Hall he’s entitled to know he has options. Kid is extremely smart and can definitely do just fine in the real world. Homie always had a higher gpa than normal in college and a 4.3 in highschool.
@@tristans_ And he's a bust
Didn’t Steve Young come from a rich family? Why Chris hating on Rosen?
Greatness81 cause he's Jewish but athletic I guess... *shrug*
He'll have more rings than Darnold in the end
The point isnt that he has money, he jusy sounds bad. It's like he's looking down on guys entering the NFL.
+Ashani Francis how lol
Greatness81
Don't recall Young saying comments similar to Rosen anytime before, during, or after his career. It's pro football, and for some guys the money they pay at the NFL level is like hitting the lottery, and a lot of those same guys come from poverty. To hear a clown who hasn't snapped a football in an NFL game yet say "I don't need football...but still I give everything to it" reeks of arrogance.
daAnT1990 lol using the old Jewish card
It’s not that deep lol
Haha seriously though...what an overreaction
Bryce Junco It is deep, though. How about you go to your next job interview and tell your potential employer "Hey I don't need this job, but I'll do my best". They will hire the next man up.
Tbj585 yes for a normal job that’s bad to say. This is the NFL though. He just has to prove it
Braunson Williams That's how I feel, but nowadays they over analyze everything. No one wants to draft the next Ryan Leaf or Jamarcus Russell either so I can't blame them.
Bryce Junco lol
Cris has a problem keeping strong emotion and bias out of these topics, its unfortunate but its true
It's that early stage CTE setting in tbh
Jackson Singewald lol it's called his personality
Yeah why would he have to be objective when he is a personality on a talk show? Lmao. That's the whole point of having him. To have his opinion
Jackson Singewald he gets way too emotional
very true, thats the problem with former athletes when talking about their sport
I like that Rosen speaks his mind and doesn’t care
A. A. Old head just be mad for no reason
Speaking your mind and not caring about the reception without all the details is a good way to look stupid my guy. We all know somebody like that.
Al Vinn yeah but why is CC so pressed about it?
He's going to get sacked so much.
Most people who enjoy choas usaully don't.
all this from the same guy that was the first one to question Josh Rosen's desire to play the game! and how he is a privileged white kid and the fact that he comes from money means he doesn't want it as bad as less fortunate people that football was there way out! coming from money or being poor has nothing to do with desire to play a game.
Doesn't look like he has the passion to me. Rich or Poor I've never heard a football speak so lowly of football.
Josh Augenfeld preach
Josh Augenfeld it does though
THANK YOU! I came from a privileged HS. Nothing made me happier then seeing the dudes on the team realize that we weren't "soft" like they expected coming into the games. Successful people breed competitive people. Period
He's Jewish not white
Imagine saying this to your soon to be wife on your wedding day. "I dont need you, but Im marrying you and I put everything in it"
Nothing would make her love you more actually
Who are you? Colin Cowherd?
Thats actually the best case scenario for a marriage. "Need" is a very bad motivator long term.
That's not bad at all. You're telling her you're marrying her because you want to, not because you have to.
Clearly his analogy went over all your heads
He said he WANTED to win 7, not that he was GOING to win 7. All QBs should have such aspirations to be the best ever. Get it right.
No he’s terrible
@@primetrollex8071 that’s not a valid response to this comment
What's wrong with him saying this? He LOVES FOOTBALL, that's what he's saying. He may not need it, but his love for the game is the reason why he's playing. CC, please enough with the salt.
Jimmy Her what’s wrong with it is that it’s condescending. When you’re intelligent and come from an affluent family there’s no need to flaunt your affluence. It’s not relevant to the sport. Saying that doesn’t help him in anyway, in fact other players might feel insulted, regardless of whether it’s a fact or not. It’s almost akin to boasting. He’s young so I can understand his point of view but as a quarterback a certain level of maturity is expected of you early. When you’re leading men from all different walks of life it would be smart to avoid saying things that can be misinterpreted or possibly even reveal condescension
Dark Ceaser if you watch the video and listened to Nick Wright’s response to CC you would understand why it’s an issue. No ones debating the truth. People’s opinion of him does matter be he’ll have to play with players who might be offended. He’s in the hiring process. He’s not being evaluated for any other prospective careers he’s being evaluated for football.
Dark Ceaser it’s not about right or wrong, it’s about likability, atleast until he gets on the field. Because if he performs these statements will be long forgotten and disregarded
EmpireAppetite Chochotte he wasn’t flaunting his wealth. He was responding to other people accusing him that he doesn’t love football because of his background. He wasn’t the first to bring up his wealth. Besides, having money and not needing football but still deciding to play a dangerous sport is the sign of real love. How can you say a kid truly loves football when he’s from a poor background and has no other way to make significant money other than football? Is that more indicative of love of sport?
CC seems salty. CC needed football to get out of the situation that he was in. This kid Rosen doesn't need football to be successful but is still really good at it anyway. CC just salty because he didn't have any other way of becoming successful other than football.
Manas Sarkar it is insulting. Chris is right.
I agree. Cant critique this generation its all about being a hater
He pretty obviously is. He's been bitter about Rosen from day 1.
Cc was a highly recruited basketball player and baseball player
Manas Sarkar wrong
Scrolling through the comments with popcorn and laughing🍿🍿
So CC should stop commenting about the NBA?
His brother played in the NBA and he was a pretty good basketball player himself
That still does not qualify him to based on his requirements. If Josh has a brother in the NFL, is he qualified then?
yeah he is a giant hypocrite.
he talks about baseball, basketball and presumably other sports that he has no expertise in
as laura ingraham said, "shut up and dribble," cris carter
I mean he is a smart kid who could be successful without football... a lot of these kids wouldnt even get into college if they couldnt catch or throw a football
So he should go do that, cause they obviously want it more. Because that's their only option.
Ashani Francis How do they want it more? Because they grew up differently than someone else? Being poor doesn't always mean you want something more than someone else.
Jonathan Hendricks okay??? Then does that apply to all athletes then too since they wouldn't be able to attend if not for their scholarships...
That's not even grammatically correct... what are you trying to say?
Jonathan Hendricks whoops sorry typos, but you said that if it wasn't for football they wouldn't be in college... So I'm asking you does that apply to ALL athletes then since they're attending universities on scholarships
What’s the problem with him saying he doesn’t need football? How’s that naive? That’s a factual statement 😂😂
Adam Villalobos Because NFL owners looking to invest in a player and if the player says he doesn’t need football, why waste your pick on him.
D Dubb I guess it is a bit of a red flag but it’s true and I don’t think it’ll have a big outcome in where he’s drafted. He’s just being realistic, still said he loves the game
@@adamv9892 nah hes quite awful
I think we're missing the point a little on this one. Rosen has never come out in an interview on the front foot announcing that he doesn't need football or that his family is rich.
He's said these things in response to reporters' questions.
The difference between Rosen and your typical draft prospect is that when he is asked a question, instead of giving the typical "nothing" answer and moving on, he's confronted it head on, and said, "No, I actually don't think that's a minus; I think it's a plus".
He's definitely very cocky, but it's not like Rosen brought this up to disrespect people. He's just not afraid to answer questions that most guys would sidestep.
"My QB isn't a robot and isn't afraid to speak his mind. How dare he"
Well he sucks
CC sucks, and first things first is a lot better without him.Chris Brousard is way more tolerable.
These are such Petty criticisms but for the sake of fun, i'm going to say that Josh Rosen is trying to lower his stock so he can go to a better team and have a more successful career. He's a smart kid lol
And what do you know, he managed to land on a reasonably okay team in Arizona, and gets to play most of his games in a dome or on the West Coast like in college, instead of up in the Northeast with a historically flawed franchise like Cleveland, Buffalo, or the Jets.
@@Zalis116 5 teams…

I thought we wanted players to have aspirations and goals.
So he’s supposed to feel bad about coming from a successful family?? Johnny Manziel literally comes from oil money but he acted like he’s from the projects and look what it’s gotten him...
great point
Nicholas Smith Johnny Manziel literally acted like a spoiled kid coming from a successful family.
who was undersized, had a severe drinking problem and played really wreckless on the field
kathy kelly Which is more like an entitled frat college kid than someone from the projects
actually kids from poor homes are actually more likely to have drinking and drug problems, but what does that have to do with comparing Josh to Johnny
If you under your 25 and never struggled than you really dont understand what hes saying
CC is putting words in Rosen's mouth. Rosen acknowledged that other people in the NFL had similar living situations as him. He speaks his mind. People need to stop making a bigger deal out of it than it is. Josh doesn't NEED the NFL, but he WANTS the NFL and has shown he has the drive and motivation to get drafted in the first round of the National Football League. He had to acknowledge his parents because people have been questioning his drive and his upbringing. Why should he lie?
Connor Bradshaw Exactly. CC says Rosen comes from privilege so he doesn't need football so he questions his drive, then Rosen says he comes from privilege and doesn't need football, now he has a problem with it. He said it already so why is he mad now?
Doesn't have to lie. All you can say is "That has nothing to do with me going in to the NFL next question". Doesn't have to say more than that and if the media pressures him, then all he has to say is he refuses to talk about it if it's ever brought up again. I have no issue with what he said, but how he said it is what people are taking issues with. I'm sure he didn't mean to offend or hurt any one, but I can see why some one would take offense. He should really think about what he says first. In this day and age people will dissect and find stuff in your comments to be offended about, even if you had no ill-intent & was just making a general non-bias statement.
Who’s here after the cards drafted kyler Murray with the 1st pick of the 2019 nfl draft
Wrong Nick, the hardest lesson he will need to learn will be to keep his mouth shut.
Yeah, he hasn't even played one NFL Game and is already talking as if he wants everybody to hate him. (Or he is just dumb af). Either way it works, I hate him for being that privileged little Sh***head. So I'm counting on you TEs of the league!! Hurt him!
Johnny LaMuelo so true
" imagine tellin the Cleveland Browns, hey guy's we're gonna win 6, 7 Superbowls...oh really?????....we haven't won 6, or 7 playoff games" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
But the Browns _have_ have won 7 playoff games... since 1964, anyway.
@@Zalis116
I assume he is talking about since their return lol
Im not the biggest on Josh Rosen, but c'mon Chris. Ease up on him a little bit, don't give him a pass but your being too critical of him
The Kid exactly, cris is definitely trying to put a target on him... claiming he’ll get hazed and be a 3rd stringer is a joke
Brian N I agree,I understand if you critique him on field and what he does, and analyzing his game but to bring up his families position and how he grew up trying to talk how he doesn't understand or want it is too far.
The Kid actually, it was Rosen that brought it up
Wong Rachel He is answering questions, that these media outlets ask him. What's wrong with him saying he wants to strive and win more then Brady? Deshaun Watson said the same thing when they asked him
+The Kid shoot Watsons coach said he was the MJ of football if Josh or his coach said that he'd get murdered
That should make you happier about him. He don’t need this. He’s doin this because he loves it because he WANTS IT.
Lamar Jackson pretty much said the same thing as Rosen...where's the outrage
What’s wrong with what Rosen said? I mean does every nfl player have to be from the hood, raised by the grandma?
No, it more about dispecting other player that needed football and him here saying it just a game or a joke
I want Nick Wright and Chris Carter to explain how : " Intellectually Curious " Lamar Jackson is??? I LOVE CC breaking down Rosen, and I HOPE he will do the same fro Lamar
It’s a back handed yet honest comment. I understand people being insulted by his comment but also understand him being honest. If an ugly person asks you if they’re ugly there are two answer: yes you are and no you’re not. One is honest and rude and the other is incorrect but padded.
Lol that's what you call entitled.
Folesadelphia, Wentzsylvania Maybe it’s just the truth.
Folesadelphia, Wentzsylvania Don't understand why he's entitled
The brats who trash Rosen? Yes you can call them entitled. He doesn't fit what they want so they nitpick and find fake reasons to smear him
I get what Chris is saying. If it's not your end all right here, right now, you have a college degree, go use it. For those that take the field every Sunday, their lives start and end right there.
Josh has no passion for the game, that's all. Not a crime, not a knock, it is what it is. He should give up his position for someone who does have a passion for it and hope he is successful at whatever else he chooses to endeavor.
I play football because thats my only option to make a decent living. Vs i play footbal because i love football? Which player is more passionate about the game? This is comparable to someone marrying for money. How many guys in the nfl actually play the game because they love it? Josh is saying he would play the game even if he didnt get paid millions of dollars. Thats like tom brady taking a pay cut vs derell revis coming to the jets for money.
Good point
@Max Shender Excellent point
I don't think CC read the piece. I think he just heard the "controversial" quotes.
So right. Today, rosen has been signed off waivers. Zero teams signed him.
Wait you think a team is gonna draft a qb in the top 10 to be the franchise and then bench him to 3rd string and let him get beat up at practice because he's a rich kid?
The dude gave up a pro career in tennis where he could play for a longer time and with less health risks. Your job as a coach is to be able to teach and explain why what you're doing is important to the players. I would rather have a qb that questions why than a robot.
Nice qb…
Cris Carter: Over the top! Josh Rosen: Lacks humility, and I found when I started in business decades back, it was okay to be innocent, but being naive was unforgivable. Alarm bells all around this kid.
Welcome to the Arizona Cardinals josh rosen
CC was on here talking about how football was his only way out because of his family situation.
Cris Carter should be one of the last people to criticize college kids on their decisions lmao. Dude had constant off field issues all throughout college at OSU.
Woof woof CC. You’re bias is showing and im loving the irony to this.
Of course his bias is showing, it's an opinion show, not a facts and analysis show. CC's opinions and bias is why he's there!!!lol
Cris Carter gets salty about absolutely everything
Best eyebrows in the game
Josh Rosen have a lot to learn about the NFL & he will as his NFL career goes on
Bro they're making to much out of this Josh is a 20 something male in America he's cokcy and a little foolish like most men his age.But he had to have great work ethic to make it this far it his career. He's the best quarter back in this draft
lol

I completely understand why Cris Carter is uncomfortable with what Josh Rosen said. But Josh Rosen is really just telling facts, what is wrong with that?

i finally agree with CC
Carter is just hating that he wasnt as privileged. Rosen said nothing wrong.
Fun fact of the day...Cris Carter, Josh Rosen, and myself combine for a total of 0 Super Bowl appearances and 0 Super Bowl rings
CC is correct. The impression Rosen is creating through his comments will be viewed as a negative.
that johnny randle story really brought it home
cris carter couldn't be more dramatic lmaooo
CC, what he meant about not working at McDonalds is the same expression as I'm not gonna be flipping burgers, it had nothing to do with him implying that other players have no skill other than football. Come CC
I guess cc missed that whole thing where Rosen said the NCAA should give the families of the kids who need help some of the money
Funny how they ask and expect guys to be honest in interviews with teams. Then a guy gets too honest for them and it's a problem.
IF it gets him to NOT be drafted by Cleveland he would have succeeded. He doesn't need to pull an Elway or an Eli. Smart guy, let the pundits insert enough doubt so Browns draft Allen.
Why ask a caregiver
for random stuff?
He doesn't need football..the fact that he's so determined and confident will make him Elite!
He’s a smart kid, he also has an ego and I can say that every football player does. Especially in he NFL. The kid just has confidence and he was saying he wants super bowl rings and he wants to be the best in the NFL. Everybody wants to be the best but not everybody expresses it and says it publicly.
Rosen is now my favorite player. Tom Brady has 5 rings not 6
Andrew Mann he’s referring to an interview where Rosen said he wants to win more rings than Brady. Thus the “If I go to Cleveland I’ll win 6-7 Super Bowls” line
He should have 6
exodus He should have 5, he lost three super bowls.
exodus
No he shouldn't
that could be these idiots misquoting him couldn't it?
Why is CC always trying to hate on Rosen?
2020 Update: Notice you never heard Sam Darnold say anything like the things Rosen said. And now in 2020 it looks like he's just another afterthought in the NFL grinder. Maybe he can revive his career, but it looks like the Dolphins are going to draft a QB in this years draft, so two team in two years have given up on him already, so it's not looking good for Josh Rosen.

I believe he is the best qb that came out of the draft. I think he'll be fine in the NFL and I believe it benefitted him speaking his mind. I believe it separated him from the coaches, GM's, and owners that wouldve felt threatened, disrespected, and insecure to his intellect. He's going to pick up the game quicker than the rest of the QBs.

Calm down Cris Carter.
Just because you didn't win a Superbowl, doesn't mean you need to sound salty every time you speak.
As a QB u need to step up and take on any challenge bird gang !!
CC is right, and he's not hating on Rosen because he's well off without football. What other job interview would you say something like Rosen said? He's about to get paid millions per year to play football and he says he doesn't need it? Doesn't sound like a franchise QB to me.
Josh Rosen, is the future of the Arizona Cardinals.
Couldn't even make it 30 seconds into the video before CC said something egregiously stupid. Harping on an elite athlete for saying he wants more rings than the next guy is about as dumb it gets. If Rosen didn't have that kind of competitiveness he wouldn't even be in this position. CC's just mad he never made it to a Super Bowl.
All this is pointless nitpicking Rosen will be fine
I thought Chris was so soft...nothing wrong with setting your goals high and strive to meet them.aint no NFLplayer worried about what Rosen is saying nor doing. And if they are they aren't making the most of their situation. Greatness comes within
Cris Carter just disappeared. I liked his analysis & opinions.
There’s a lot of people that don’t like Chris. Maybe Josh should have gotten a fall guy to say some things he wanted to say?
Rosen is a clown he needs to retire from this if it ain't his life, because as a pro football has to be your life it's not just a sport like he said.
If this segment would have kept going I think he would have pulled the race card
I think CC said a lot right and a lot wrong here. I think what Rosen said comes off as kind of classist and a bit of thinking he is better than others because of his background. That being said that is the last thing true NFL players care about can he throw a ball accurately? Can he learn the offense and read the defense? Can he be tough, get knocked down and come back for another play? That is what his teammates will care about, until Rosen tries to bring it into the locker room atleast but I think he is too smart to try that shot
Man he wasn’t LITERALLY saying he wouldn’t have to work at mcdonalds...its a figure of speech...same as someone saying “it beats selling insurance” or “i’ll end up flippin burgers”. You’re the naive one for not catching a common figure of speech

CC and Nick are the ones who sound ignorant here. Where's CC without football?? The McDonald's thing might be a little too far in some people's eyes but half the dudes in the NFL if they wouldn't have football would have nothing. There's a reason a lot of them go broke. And Nick "he'll be the 3rd qb walking in and the same rules don't apply to him" you're fn crazy. If I'm spending a top 10 or 5 pick on a guy who's my franchise you better stay away from him at practice
Ryan Croft... Okay tell that to Veterans whose been playing for 6 years+... hey don't touch this rookie, he was a top 10 pick he may be the future(or another bust) for this franchise... Yeah let's see how that goes with them
How many years you play in tha NFL boss?!?!? Lol
Frank Faz 0 Boss but followed the league long enough to know you don't allow a qb to get drilled in practice... There's a reason every single qb wears a red jersey since they're so hard to find. It's the 1 position who you can never touch and if you cant understand that then good on you for being naive
Ryan Croft exactly
