      Precision Striking legit though as someone that’s used the virtual sparring app and those vids during my gyms break during covid- I’ve been boxing for awhile, but was never that great at timing counters and having really clean active defense. Just returned to sparring last week, and it’s massively improved thanks to you.

    Thank you Coach Jay Van. I incorporated this workout into my shadow boxing routine (32 three minute rounds). In fact, I started out my workout with this segment and I shadow boxed the punch combination numbers that you called out on my Android device. Thank you, so much Coach Jay Van! I love this video because it gets my fast twitch muscle fibers activated, so the other 29 rounds that I conquered were a little easier, but I pushed myself!
    Coach Jay Van, would you please do a Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao Virtual Pad Work Punch Combinations video- like the one you did for Mike Tyson?

      Just do a mi run on treadmill or smth (unless you got no gym you can go to). I gradually increase speed and sprint at the end. Def gets that body ready for training. Then I do some twisting, stretching and lateral movements. Then I shadowbox or jump on double end bag. Double end is a good way to warm up if you take it easy at first. Then you can go assault the heavy bag:) cheers

    Could you make a video to help some of us that are switch fighters and how can we refine this ability.
    I'm right handed but grew up in a house full of lefties so I'm ambidextrous in a lot of ways, including when I fight. I have a really good right power hand but I feel more comfortable using it as my lead and throwing body hooks, that doesn't mean that I can't use an orthodox stand, I'm just not as fluent.

    Hi JT, i love theses videos, I did the "Heavy bag/8 hard rounds" and after that i pushed my self to do this workout. But I got tell you it's a hell workout. I have question plz, when you pounch for speed do you do it with 100% power or 50%? I still can't figure out how to punch with speed because when I punsh the bag it moves and I can't continue the combos, this me make me crazy and maaaaaade, but when i do shadow boxing i can go with speed and power. is this normal, so I should only continue training? or i must stop and figure out what i should do? Also, i have a problème with rage, when i pounch the heavy bag all i want it's to hurt the bag? Sorry this a lot of points. Thank you JT.

    • @PrecisionBoxing
      @PrecisionBoxing  3 роки тому +2

      When you go for speed you use less power, but save your power for the last punch. Sometimes the bag moves, so you have to adjust your feet or just save longer combos for shadowboxing. Try to relax and not have rage during boxing, this drain your energy in sparring and in a fight and is not a good practice for quick thinking.
