I have owned my 2009 Nissan GT-R for over four years and during that time I noticed a few things that bothered me about it. So, these are the niggles and criticisms my R35 generation CBA GT-R has to face from an owner's perspective.

Just to be clear: I still like the GT-R but my love is not blind. 🙈
Absolutely love the honest, detailed, useful and funny way you went through these points. Great video.
Mario: I just couldn't resist teasing you about your complaint regarding the GT-R being too large since you also have a Cadillac.
Every older car has drawbacks especially aging sports car, but the things that annoy you are the things you remember and miss when it's gone.
"Kim Jung Un is connected" 🤣
Great video.
Love your red bedroom slippers!
If I remember correctly Nissan got sued for their BS warranty regarding launch control. People were pissed about having to pay 20K for out of warranty transaxle replacement. It was fixed in the next generations. TBH it is a bit silly to buy a near supercar and cry about fuel cost or gas mileage. Also that rust on the fender looks like damage or road rock chips that were not taken care of.
Mario now that the summer has arrived. I think you should brings the GTR on a grand tour of the Alps and document for us. A Collab would make it extra special
Great review, I enjoyed every second of it. It is a bit weird and unfair on the price for parts, great choice for going aftermarket.
I owned a gtr for 5 years - never even thought of all these “issues”. It’s a sports car not a luxury car. You need a Porsche - a GTR is a real car lovers car.
Porsches have their problems as well.
What about the nitrogen filled tyres? Aint that costly during services/changing tyres from winter to sumer and vice versa. Or do you fill the up with regular air?
Regular air (which is 78% nitrogen anyway). Nitrogen for road use is basically a scam unless you are racing professionally and need to control every last variable.
I guess that it is a reason that this beats the Porsche and Ferrari's from the same period but costs half or whatever it was..
They had to cut some corners..
Hi Mario, would you consider an Alpine A110? It's a lot less powerful, but also a lot lighter and smaller (more appropriate for small Swiss/Italian/French mountain roads).
Probably the perfect sports car for Switzerland. But a bit too expensive for me and the one I reviewed 3 years ago had issues with excessive fuel vapor smells.
100k miles/ kilometers that’s crazy did I read that right?!, if so that’s awe
Thank you so much for making this video, now I know that I am the wrong person for a GT-R!
Look at that C-pillar gap at the 7 minute mark wow. Now that would make me want to fix it. Looks like a cave a creature lives in. LOL
He definitely bought the wrong car lol 😂😂😂
you can do a road trip to Greece, and visit Spyros Panopoulos, and ask him how they would fix up your GTR (nobody has done this ever, you would be the first)
Is he a specialist on cup holders?
kim jong un connected
Lol, I saw that too 😂
Maybe this car isn't the one for you! Maybe you should look for another car, like a KIA or Huyundai. I love my GTR.
they all sound completely fair. many are things car reviews never mention because they do not own the car.
The stereo sounds terrible for a bose and you can't drive with 1 hand as the car pulls you all over with any grooves in the road.
Your right....it's a horrible car........if u want to get rid of it I can make a huge effort and take if you decide to give away👍 what a terrible car!!!! Next week I am free to pickup so u have less to worry about 🙂
I didn't know you have GTRs in North Korea 😉
Nope ... Still would love to have a Nissan GT -R 😁
I bet this car will serve you better than the Phaeton!
I hope so! 😅
That's a low bar :D
@@jakubstepien5645 Lmao, so true!
35 things you hate. Hm, first I thought, well can't be that bad, can it? And then you absolutely destroyed that GT-R - respect 😊
I am surprised you still have it, if there is so much wrong with it.
Now the big one, what would you replace it with?
Now that is a very difficult question. It would have to be smaller and more nimble. But still with enough power but also somewhat daily-driveable. 🤔
@@swisscarguy Porsche 911 Carrera (991.2 or 992) with PDK, problem solved, you are welcome 😊😉
Do I look like I'm made of money? 💸

Some odd, perhaps even boring 2010-2012 VW Golf GTI?
You are not too nit-picky, no, and in the basis of all that you have pointed out here, I would not consider buying a GTR or pretty much any sports car. I think a more boring, regular car would be a lot better dat to day, even more fun to drive, such as a Honda Civic SI
Seems designed for Japanese-sized person driving on typical Japanese unsalted smooth roads, not American coffee cups / harsh launch meets. Typical Japanese avoidance of failure with absent/ancient proven tech and no warranty if used on track. Japanese Prius of the time has that reverse beep inside car too. The width of the car stands out to me as not typical Japanese though, perhaps found to be absolutely necessary for some sporting superiority measurements so they had no choice
why would u own a car with so many "flaws" that makes no sense
Haven't found a perfect car, yet.
I already hate you for owning one lol.
35… wtf 😂👍
I tried to keep it short. 😅
Why do you pick on GT-R Mario? No need for it....
That's why I can't have nice things. 🥲
Sounds like you bought the wrong car for yourself. If you didn't do your homework in what you were getting into, then that's on you. Its like a 7 footer buying a mini cooper and complaining its too small after buying it.
Why? Do you love every small detail of your car? The GT-R is a great car to drive fast and that makes up for a lot of it's other shortcomings. But they are still present.
