Missing the point. A stock car no matter what you call it needs to adhere to regulations set ie emission std etc. A tuned car which is not done by the manufacturer are free to do whatever.

It's a Lichtfield GT-R, it's great but it's a very little basic tune for a GT-R. Stock on drag race it would be close maybe. I'm sorry, i love BMW but a M8 wouldn't stand a chance with even a prefacelift GT-R on track. Even stock. Just compare the time by yourself.

Should have brought out a stock GT-R... Stock GT-R has always been a consistent 11.0 sec car, and the M8 is as fast as the M5, which is also a 11.0 sec flat capable car... C'mon guys, make that race happen!
Bcuz stock Gtr is not exist, the lightest Gtr mod you could see is this one, just tuned, only $800 and still cover under factory warranty

paul shi that's the good thing about Gtr, they stand on top of it quality, none of car out there have that, Nissan have 3 zones for Gtr, green=stock, yellow=acceptable mods, red=warranty voided and we are talking about turbo swaps, built engine...etc to get to the red zone, this's my 3rd one, all of them at least FBO E85 (way more power than just a tune in this clip) and all of them was still under oem warranty with a loaner car fr Nissan too (only Gtr owners could get a loaner fr Nissan)

I actually think an m8 is 3.2 seconds to 60mph and a standard gtr is 2.6 seconds quite a big difference
@@candyman8394 yeah but that only tells half the story, for example in real world testing the gtr generally launches to 60 in about 3 sec. The quarter mile times for a stock gtr on non prepped surface are around 11.1 and the m8 has done it in 11sec, so it would be a very close race

Well the M8 has the competition pack tho. And FYI a stock 2017 gtr does a quater mile in 10.9 sec, a 2020 m8 competition does 11.00 in quarter mile. You can confirm it in the carwow channel.

That's the beauty of the gtr....super car killer for a fraction of the price..this was Japan's goal that they over delivered, remember when the gtr came out it was the pinnacle of the car industry....now other car companies have caught up but the gtr is still at that level and it's 11 years old...if your a real car enthusiast you will appreciate all cars

Must be a stage 4.5, mines a litchfield 4.25 and is 679hp possibly with a bigger intercooler you might get almost 700. I can't pull on a M5 Comp like that.
@@CB-rr9fe Sounds very different to me too. Looks like over 700bhp or more to virtually annihilate an M8 in that manner. Takes a lot of power to pull past that M8 when not getting the drop.

Thank you for showing the performance of Litchfield's Litchfield-tuned GT-R against a stock BMW M8. The Litchfield tune really allowed the Litchfield tuned, Litchfield GT-R to take a convincing win against the non-Litchfield tuned BMW M8. I think if Litchfield applied a Litchfield tune to the BMW M8 it would be a very interesting race against the Litchfield's tuned, Litchfield GTR and the newly tuned Litchfield BMW M8. The difference in gapage was definitely apparent and 8:05 solidified Litchfield's Litchfield tuned GT-R as the faster vehicle compared to the non-Litchfield BMW M8.
That Godzilla has taken some Vitamins. However the M8 Comp is still from my point of view a better car in many ways! Looking forward for more drags races. I propose a Porsche Taycan turbo Vs GTR

I love nissan gtr and has nothing against it. Nissan increased boost pressure on the car, and directly increasing the horsepower. So, technically 2017 GTR is tuned GTR.

Bruh that GTR has had more done to it than that. A new exhaust, air filter and a tune doesn't make a GTR pull THAT hard. Even when the m8 got the jump the GTR caught up with ease.
