As a kid I didn’t even know that the sensor bar existed and I would point at the tv, this made the train level insanely painful.
This is infinitely funnier if you just imagine a tiny Rowlet holding a wiimote in their talons
One of my absolute favourites. Telling that just seeing your gameplay I can hear all the sounds in my head. Not just music. The squeak of Waddle Dee's falling, the wind up and beap of Kirby going fast as car. So memorable. So cozy!
I've never played *Epic Yarn* but I can say that the OST for this game is amazing, the *Butter Building Theme* is my personal favorite
This is the first Kirby game I played and I can't even remember why I wanted it but super glad I did play it. Every level is super cute and has interesting mechanics and was especially a great game to have when I was younger. Nice video!

This video is so cozy, just like this game. I never owned it myself but I remember playing co-op with my friend when he'd bring his copy over. Epic Yarn being an easy game never bothered me. It made me smile with its creativity and that's what matters.
I see you made your way here before I did. :) And yeah, I feel the same way! Epic Yarn is one of the most important games I've played to me.
I enjoyed Epic Yarn with my sister. It was the first game where we didn't fight and had fun together.
I have very similar memories
Dream land tree is Whispy Woods, first boss fight in most Kirby game. Cloud is Kracko, boss fight in several Kirby games. Both were introduced in the first Kirby game, Kirby’s Dream Land.
Kirbys Epic Yarn was the first game I ever completed in a weekend. And this game is sentimental to me not only for how great and charming it is, but that my Great-grandmother got it for me as a Hanukkah gift. I always remember and thank her spirit for this gift as it is a prime memory of my younger years as with some of the other Wii games I played and still cherish.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is one of the best examples of world-class level design. It may be easy in the fact that the player can't die, but it still challenges the player in a very fun way. Plus, the level concepts, level layouts, and especially the music are absolutely wonderful.
This is one of the most important video games to exist, and I mean that. :)
It's so cool seeing this game being played and talked about to this day! I played this game a whole lot as a kid. I had a few other Kirby games but I was really young and didn't really know how to play games all that well. Epic Yarn was probably the first game I had ever beaten and gotten to 100%.
I will agree that the train can be slow and hard to control. But I found out that pressing B immediately turns the train around, which made it a lot easier to control and a lot more enjoyable!
This game has a really special place in my heart. I love everything about it-- the music, the visuals, and the gameplay are all so creative and nostalgic, and I'm glad you pointed that out. Keep up the good work!
I used to play this game ALL THE TIME as a kid, me and my sister would always race to see who could ring the bell first. NOTHING was off the table, we played dirty, giving the other a "taxi" ride to take the bell for yourself

Such a beautiful game, the design is cozy and homelike. As someone said in the comments, it makes me remember my grandma (because of the yarn and the knitting) and it's always something to appreciate. Furthermore, as you said, the soundtrack is awesome and thanks to remember it I will search for it and put it in my relaxing music playlist. In general, a classic and enjoyable game, and one that maybe I will play again in the near future. As ever, thanks Nintendo Hero for this nostalgia dosis and have a nice day!

Until the Forgotten Land. It was so good that it was ported to the 3DS.

This whole video is just so cozy and nostalgic from minute one! I have so many memories of playing this game on co-op with my mom. The music still brings me back everytime I hear it. Great video! Glad to hear someone else continues to enjoy this game just as much as I do!

the first time I saw this game at walmart when I was young I read the title as “Kirby’s Epic Yard”. Still waiting for that game.
This game holds such a special place in my heart. I absolutely loved it: the art style, unique mechanics, cooperative gameplay, and overall wholesomeness. The soundtrack is also so beautiful I almost shed a tear listening to it again. I wish my wii didn't die cause i would absolutely play this all over again.
IIRC, I played this game after getting Smash Bros Brawl, or maybe it was the inverse? I'm not sure.
It was also my first Kirby game and I loved it a lot. I would keep replaying the stages over and over, especially this one snow level where I'd try to get the most pearls as possible.
Since it was my first Kirby game, I didn't even *know* that he was supposed to swallow stuff and use copy abilities until I played Return to Dreamland.
It was the game that kickstarted my love for the series and it has a special place in my heart.

Did you know the British version has a different narrator? The American one is dope, but for nostalgic purposes I love the British one. He sounds like a gentle elderly man reading a story to his grandchildren.

I used to LOVE this game as a kid, and I still do. I used to be super scared of the mummies in hot land though, so much so that I made my mom play through the whole hot land world by herself so I could get to treat land
Kirby's Epic Yarn soundtrack is amazing and is my 'most'- favourite Kirby game soundtrack of the series to date. I love how each track of the game uses a variety of music instruments (with 'piano' being the main instrument soundfont for most tracks) and while 'Flower Fields' is the main theme of the game (which is also one of my favourite tracks), 'Frosty Wheel' is my personal favorite track of the game with having the calming and peaceful feel. This game does not have lives system similar to Kirby and the Forgotten Land which are good and makes the gameplay even more interesting and adventurous
Man this was my favorite game on the wii. I really hope we can get a version of it on switch someday.
As someone who plays stuff like Hotline Miami, Postal & even Manhunt, Kirby's Epic Yarn is in my top 3 games ever, simply because of how cozy and beautiful the game is, both in terms of its style and the music. Epic Yarn is the only game that really hits hard for me, on an emotional level. It's hard to explain why, but I'd say it's just for how cute the game is. It really shines when you're playing through a level that's not only really fun, but has some of the coziest music a game can provide. It may not be a "real kirby game", but that doesn't matter when the game nearly has me choked up for how damn cute it is
Btw, the spiky cloud guy is named Krako and the tree guy is named Wispy Woods. That's not at all important but I felt like pointing it out.

This game has brought me so many memories, and I'm thankful that I've found this video and thank you for making it. This game was my minecraft, roblox, undertale, etc. I wish I had the knowledge of the secret levels from beating the bosses with enough beads. Five year old me would have loved to play it those years ago. It would be a lie to say I didn't still yearn for those days. Thank you, sincerely.

My fav memory of this game was halloween with my best and only friend when i was little. We spent the rest of the night after trick or treating playing the game and i think got stuck on the phoenix bossfight, there was a specific reason why we werent able finish it before he went home but i cant remember what it was. Im surprised i rememeber this at all cause for some reason i have bareou any childhood memories, probably just cause it was boring

I don’t know how we transitioned from talking about Kirby to tuna sandwich but Kirby will eat anything so I guess it’s slightly on topic.
I really like your style and video production, it´s very charming and not overly complex much like a Kirby game :)
Here´s just a bit of constructive criticism: Try mixing up your voice a bit more by leaving more pauses, using some filler words (like well or something else, whatever you feel comfortable with)and so on. That way, your lines will feel more like your talking naturally instead of reading of a script. Of course this takes time and effort to learn but I´m sure it´ll pay out. Anyway, keep up the good work

i liked everything about epic yarn except for the level design, which was imo too hard for a kirby game, and the way taking damage works with the gems coming out was annoying
