- It's been a while since I've talked about Kirby's Copy Abilities, and between new additions and opinions shifting, I've got plenty more to talk about regarding them! Did any abilities fall in the ranks? Did any see newfound respect? Is Bell Kirby finally going to break into S-tier? All that and more will be answered!

i love forgotten land needle kirby because it's a movement ability in a game where no copy ability gives you movement. forgotten land always feels so slow to me, since they had to remove all the holding sideways attacks, but needle helps a lot!
It's basically a big katamari ball lmao
Tornado in FL is arguably faster and more destructive than Needle, if harder to control.
Sand is personally one of my favorite abilities in the whole series. It is so versatile and I feel every attack does huge damage. Plus the invincible block CARRIES in true arena, which is essential because RTDLDX's true arena is honestly one the hardest in the series
I think if animal and drill merged like Fire and Burning, that’d be perfect

1 more thing, you forgot to add that the copy copy ability actually allows you to see what Scarfy’s ability is! Which is Crash 💥
mecha to me felt like one of the mostadvanced copy abilities with so many small details and attacks, but a little too powerful, also i feel like its playstyle would be 10x cooler in 3d so excited for Kirbys Remembered Land 2025!!!
I'd love a video on dream buffet, fighters 2 and canvas curse copy abilities and the ability evolutions!
Personally, Poison is my favorite copy ability. No other ability focuses on damage over time like Poison does, and I LOVE IT. You also have to fight bosses differently when using it; as you need to really think about the boss's current location and where it's GOING to be so you can lay down your traps in the most effective place while also keeping up your onslaught.
I did an entire playthrough AND True Arena with Poison only, it can genuinely contest with Hammer and Fighter in terms of raw damage. It also has really cool and unique puzzles that only Poison can deal with.
Poison is a top 5 ability for me, I’m glad to find another poison fan :)
I think poison would be really interesting to see in 3D. The added dimension could add a lot more depth.
In FL, I thought Ice Kirby was Top Tier. That ability actually kills bosses by just freeze-locking them in place.
I LOVE seeing that appreciation for Spider Kirby!!! One of my favourite copy abilities and also one of the most underrated imo
Now in my personal opinion, I would have Sand be in at least A tier because jeez its Sand Storm & Sand Hurricane just completely shreds bosses, especially the final boss. It's also up there with Stone, Ice, Leaf, and Archer for abilities with completely busted guards, but unlike those abilities, Sand can safely attack out of it with Sand Geyser, which usually results in Kirby safely being out of harms way. But again, this is all just my opinion
I'm so happy spiders in S tier its one of my favorite copy abilities and i hope it appears in more Kirby games

Example: Archer
Friend: Spynum
Friend Abilities: Can recieve Power Effects (Sizzle Archer, Zap Archer, etc.)
Drill kirby is actually good for bosses that aren't tropic woods imo. In particular it's very handy for getting the "no damage" bonuses.
Also the amount of damage done with the "draw a circle" attack seems to scale with the size of the circle, letting it actually compete with hammer kirby for big damage if you time thongs right

personally i think if mech had any more cool additions it would’ve been seen as too OP
(which would make it an S tier in this type of video but give you less incentive to play around with other abilities in the game/any future games it’s in)
You forgot the fact that tornado Kirby was heavily Nerfed in Kirby and the forgotten land
can you do a kirby battle royale and extra epic yarn tier list too after if you ever run out of actual good tier list ideas
oh yeah, i HATED ice kirby in forgotten land. It really went from "objectively better fire" to "objectively worse fire"

Ok, ESP kirby is at least for me top tier. In the first place, you can teleport, and that is both a funny way to travel through levels, as when you appear in a place you damage every enemy that is where you teleported and a very strong attack against bosses. Besides, teleport is also fun there as when a boss is rampaging at kirby he just dissapears, making damage and appears being the boss to counter attack.
Then, you can use your BALL to defeat stronger enemies and bosses, and it can also be used as a shield against enemies and proyectiles. And its counter, it is insanely strong when time properly and the weak hit is also decent. It is true that the lack of attacks might hurt it, but it just doesnt need more. The ability is great against bosses both in robobot and star allies and has a lot of puzzle solving potential, specially in star allies where you could use a team attack with rock.
Metal went from being an ability to a power up but what i want to know would this include some abilities second moveset like the one's in Kirby Battle Royale?
I was really disappointed that RTDLX didn't add ranger as one of the new abilities. I feel like ranger has a lot of potential to be really fun in 2d, plus Kirby with a gun is a goldmine I feel like Nintendo/HAL would want to milk dry.
Hey Silvery, I was wondering if you could do a video on how The Forgotten Land evolved the characters of Meta Knight, Dedede, and Bandana Dee? I know your probably tired of Kirby character analyses, and I would never want you to make a video you aren't passionate about or aren't interested in making, but I feel like TFL really expanded the characters of Bandana Dee, Dedede, and Meta Knight. It's just a suggestion, but I hope you consider it.
So I get your thoughts on Sand. BUT.
Sand is super OP. I initially thought sand was pretty okay when I first used it, but then I proceeded to use the rest of its moveset. Sand is OP for 4 main reasons:
1: It's 2 hit basic move does a *ton* of damage. Like it's not even okay, it shreds most of the bosses in RTDLD. The tornado ability also does ridiculous damage, but if you think that leaves you too open and vulnerable then
2: As mentioned in the video, sand has an attack out of an invincible shield. *It has damage out of invincibility*. Not only that, but the jump will often send you above the enemy you're hitting, and you can curve it to avoid bosses. If an enemy gets to close while you're doing a two hit, you can just avoid it and punish it for thinking it is allowed to walk near you. Stone is balanced as an ability because you have to be patient. You have to wait to un-morph, and make sure you're going to hit the enemy upon a re-morph. Sand gets out of the un-morph stage for complete free. Because of this, sand still is
3: a fun ability to use. I love being able to tear through bosses and stages by committing mass destruction. I see the critique that Sand unbalances the game because you can just sit on it, which is reason
4: Sand absolutely invalidated *many* abilities. By that I mean stone, sorta hammer (hammer is still powerful in its own right), water/leaf, and high jump, are all mostly or entirely replaceable with sand. Stone particularly is entirely outclassed because not only does sand have a high damage output and what I mentioned in 2, but the sand-hand also can hit grounded spikes, which is also why hammer was mentioned. Sand gets many of its aspects from water/leaf, and highjump is mostly useless because the shield-attack is just high jump with some projectiles.
I thought sand completely broke the balance of RTDLD, but who knows, maybe that's not what you value.
Also drill's earthquake does a lot of damage but that might be later abilities.
Also also I'd love to see an ability ranking on Canvas Curse and Dream Buffet, and if you're up to open the can Kirby Fighters 2. I haven't really been exposed to much on Canvas Curse, but it'd be nice to see more on that game. Sorry for making you lovely comment reader read, have a nice day

If you were to make tier lists on all the spin-off abilities, ability combos in Crystal Shards, and ability upgrades in Forgotten Land- I’d watch the hell out of that
Also for me personally, wrestler is s-tier
I agree with most, there were some personal biases I had though. Those being to bell, wing and jet, cutter, needle, mike (just because of your editing), mecha, ninja, water and poison, ranger, and staff.
Also I would put hi-jump, ice and mirror lower, with ghost getting to reach d-tier because sometimes…
That controlling mechanic can really shake up the gameplay!
Alright, let me tell you my changes.
Metal stays at the bottom because I’m very impatient and an ability that slows down movement would be the bane of my existence.
Laser is cool, either it goes near the top of d-tier or the very bottom of c-tier.
Jet and Wing would be in a-tier, although I generally find jet superior since it’s cooler and comes from a better kirby game.
Yes, triple deluxe is my least favorite of the six modern kirby games so far. But planet robobot is my favorite.
Although…
I love bell. It’s a pretty fun ability to me and just has some charm to it. B-tier.
Needle, I found this out while playing KRTDLDX by complete accident, but if you cancel the roll into a needle attack at the right time, the momentum from the rolling needle will be carried into the needle attack.
I found this out while just returning to the game after truly 100%ing it, but I really hope this gets used at least once in a speedrun!
A TAS could really go fast with this tool!
Plus I just like needle’s charm more, kirby just sitting there emotionless is kinda funny to me.
Mike gets higher because of your editing joke with it and how iconic the ability is. It’s just super unique and should get a full moveset in a spin-off one day, to be honest.
Mecha isn’t s-tier, while the large variety of attacks it has is a great thing to hear, and it looks really cool…
Some of the projectiles aren’t that easy to land.
Yet I think you forgot about the sizz-zap burst, IMO it’s a great close-range attack! That’s a-tier.
Ninja, despite not being powerful, is very fun to use.
The fast and flashy attacks are pretty cool to me. Another a-tier.
Water and sand get higher, being able to drop a sandcastle on someone is just super funny in a certain context, and water is a great movement ability! They both land in a-tier.
The start of KPR’s 3-1 is the sole reason wheel stays in a-tier, it’s just so satisifying to mow down everything in your path!
Doctor’s animation when you don’t finish the lab attack is very funny, I love it!
Archer has a lot of options and looks pretty cool, but…
Come on. If an ability gives kirby a gun, it’s automatically s-tier.
Plus ranger, like archer, has a lot of variety with its attacks!
Especially that dodge attack taken straight from the matrix.
Sword lands at the top of a-tier, it’s super iconic and fun to use!
Suplex too, it’s very versatile and brutal to enemies.
Staff gets to be in s-tier, the pole vault is my favorite copy ability move in the series, being very fun to just bounce across the level.
Ice goes down cause it doesn’t have as much charm to me, and mirror isn’t as flashy to me.
Last tier drop is for smash, since I haven’t quite used this one fully.
It’ll be #11, though!
Spider’s going higher, it’s singlehandedly the best ability for rushing through levels, and is quite fun to use!
Beetle…

Beetle is my favorite copy ability in the entire kirby series.
It’s basically a combo of suplex, sword, wing, and hammer.
A good all-around copy ability with decent power, great movement options, and some kinda brutal moves.
But before we address more about beetle, let’s talk about the top three.
UFO would be lower, it’s just not that fast. It’s still in s-tier due to being very unique, though.
Tornado may be the entire reason that the true arena in KRTDLDX got such a huge buff in comparison to return to dream land’s true arena.
It’s absolutely busted, and is incredibly good for mowing through levels, maybe better at that than even spider!
But forgotten land’s version…
It sucks. It’s only getting third place because of the insane nerf tornado got in forgotten land. You can’t go inside the hitbox of bosses in that game is what I’m saying.
Yo-yo is very fun, and yeah…
You get to walk the dog! That alone would put it in a-tier at the LEAST, but yo-yo has a lot of fun attacks, so it’ll be the runner-up!
Okay, why do I like beetle so much?
It’s got very good movement options, is generally great all-around, has some power to it, and some brutal throws. Also…
You get to stab enemies on your horn like your horn’s a kebab!
That allows for good screen-clearing sometimes, and is just very satisifying to use.

No offense on my opinions, I don’t actually hate most copy abilities.
Except metal. That one sucks.
I know you won’t be happy at some of my changes, but I’d love to see your opinions on _my_ opinions!
I didn’t mention the ones from kirby’s adventure and amazing mirror though, as I haven’t fully played either of those games.
Also, yeah I agree with magic.
If I could pick 1 Ability to return in any Kirby game, my second pick would be light, because I would like to see it thrive, because an ability like light could receive the magic treatment, having a massive glow up, Light has no real purpose in every other game, so seeing it get a glow up in a new game would be everything I'd want.

The copy copy ability can take boss abilities in Kirby Super Star Ultra! Still niece though.
Idk ice kirby was amazing for bosses no damange requirements in forgotten lands it basically trivialized it. And even without the damage requirement it would shred bosses health if you did the ice needle spam by tapping B which also still freezes them.

this makes me wonder where would you put base Kirby? that would be interesting to me, because it draws the line at the point where you would rather just not use a copy ability at all then the ones below where you put base.
Definitely depends on the game, but there certainly are some games where I prefer not using a Copy Ability (Dream Land 2 immediately comes to mind)
@@SilveryMP yeah, I recently played through dreamland two on the switch online, other then things like Coo cutter, I stuck with base. though I was more asking where you would place base Kirby on the tier list if you treated it as a unique moveset/ability.

You forgot to mention tornadoes drop in forgotten land For me it went to the for me it went to 3rd place in S tier for me all the way down to the top of a tier

crash ability is the best ability of them all you can only use it once but it so powerful if you can use the a ability multiple times it well be so powerful and dangers and everyone well use it in every game it well be very rare but so powerful more powerful any other ability .

IMO: Bell and mecha are S and A for me just because they turn fights into smash bros fights with their variety.
Sand is in C for me because it is all about spamming the guard. Same reason I dislike stone.

In Forgotten land some abilities in a 2D space are bad like tornado
But my S-tier are Hammer/Tornado/Crash/Stone/Smash Bros./ and Wheel multiplayer in Kirby Super Star

I love your videos, man that I have to disagree on your opinion about the copyability if you’re saying out of usefulness when you copy a ability and use it for the rest of the game that means you were using the copyability the whole game even if the name of the power changed you’re still using the copy ability because that’s the only way you can have access to it
Im not one to judge but im a bit mad at mechas placement and since thats your opinion thats absolutely fine its just that you were critisising mecha whilst barely looking at what mecha does right so i suppose ill just say my opinions now and here so mecha can absolutely shred through bosses and the projectile based attacks allow for more ways to defeat enemies and bosses if your not confident with using mecha and saying that the shock knuckle combo elavted mecha out of c tier was just something else seriously i guarantee there was something else that elavated it

Bruh, how does the most versatile ability, having high damage and good attack range, as well as true invincibility while guarding, end up in B tier?
Sand is the best ability in RtDRDeluxe, and it deserves at least A tier.
I also love Ninja in that game, but it notoriously lacks any attacks that hit vertically above Kirby, so some flying bosses are really hard to beat without taking some damage yourself. It absolutely tears through all the other bosses however. I guess B tier makes sense with it lacking vertical attacks, but despite that I personally think the high DPS alone makes it A tier.

Facts sand s punch very strong and when you can make sand castle you can not hold button to wait when they popes out about Mecha thats powerful laser is strong than ufo plus you shot and punch a fire and finally ninja thats powerful power can be faster throw kunais powerful slice on katana and finally blossom boom its Really powerful
Facts why stone and hammer going to be b tier but ufo d tier well about rock its hard to play that defend its not work anymore and you need hold button and hammer hard to play hard hit enemy when you want attack and spin can get damage and finally ufo got nerfed attacks is weak and you need find it and when you won its become again a common Kirby well thats my facts
