- Welcome back to Nostalgia Rewind! Today's game is New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This is one of those games that I played a ton when I was younger, and it was lots of fun to go back and play it again. My fondest memory with this game is being stuck on World 1 because neither me or my dad knew how to save the game.

@@Nostalgic_tha_greatSAME but then my 3 brothers we all created a world and the oldest (12) years old, knew how to save, we made it all the way to world and and could never beat the world 8 boss for some reason, probably because I had no clue what I was doing still after months and I’d keep throwing everyone into the lava saying “ one koopa twoopa gone” as the would all be raging 😂

This game was perfect for a younger me, It has just the right amount of difficulty, I still remember when entering castles actually used to scare me because they were hard and somewhat creepy lol
Same bro me and my brother just went back and beat it together before he went to college, he made my childhood great and forced me to play all those great games on the wii I wish I could go back.
World 7 Castle used to scare me lol. That level in particular is so good and I wish the other castle levels were as unique as it in their theming.

It was the hardest level (so far) and the music was creepy, it didn't help that I didn't know you could run yet
So I played nervously because somehow, losing felt like getting a jumpscare
Didn't stop me from grinding it tho, finally beating it was the best feeling ever
Damn, I love this game so much. A few months ago I 100% the game with my sister. (Got all 5 shiny stars on my profile and bought all hint movies) and it was a blast. Your videos are so we'll made you deserve way more recognition. This game and Mario Galaxy were literally my childhood, so thanks for the nostalgia 😊
I got reminded of the days when my mom would turn on the tv and turn this game on in the morning to wake me up it always worked can't believe it's been almost 10 years since those days

Those intro-tones to this game before you click start in the Wii menu hit different. I had to rewind the video like three times just to listen to it over and over, it's so nostalgic
I remember staring at magazines that featured this game so much back when I was 7 begging my mom everyday for a Wii and this game. Got it Christmas in 2009 and I’ve played this game so much. Love it!

I never 100% completed the game as a kid, but years later, i bought a wii, popped in my old copy of the game, continued where i left off and 100% completed it. The title screen music always gets me.

If someone asked me where to start with 2D Mario, I would recommend this game. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is the purest form of Mario out there. No wacky gimmicks, just fun platforming.
I loved screwing around with my friends, it was only when I was playing by myself when I actually tried to progress with the game.
Awesome video! This game is not the best 2d platform ever, but is a very polished game. Maybe it isn't so acclaimed because of the other mario games on the wii.
The best for me is the DS one,so sad to know that the New Saga go downhill after the release of the wii one.
@@louismalardon3363 At least there were two fanmade games by the Newer Team after Wii that remedy that. The NewerSMB games are fantastic.
This was my first Mario game. I loved it when I was 5 and still love it to this day!
I always think of when my siblings and I (and sometimes our babysitter) would play this and just drive each other mad. This is where the NSMB series peaked for me.
absolute masterpiece of a game. I used to always play it. I still do once in a while, since my Wii is still working. It is an amazing experience, and I wish the game was longer!!!!!!!
5:36 as a kid I was so oppressed with this game I made a chart and memorized every layout of the cards so I'd get items every time

I always use to borrow this game from a friend and would always try to get as far as I could each weekend he lent it to me. I eventually got stuck on world 6. I'm surprise I got that far on crappy Wii controls. I still don't own the game but I'll get it and play through it one of these days.
When I was playing this game for the first time in my life as a kid, when I started each level, I thought he said "Mexico."
I 100% this 4 times as a kid, each time faster and faster. The level design exceeds all other 2D Mario!

I used to have to go to a friend's house every day during the summer because my parents would work and me, my siblings and that friend would play the whole game over and over along with Smash Bros. Brawl. I remember in Peach's castle there were videos you could watch of fun shortcuts and gameplay and we'd try to imitate what they did in the videos 😄

Everyone always talks about growing up with Wii sports and NSMBW, so I always feel bad for growing up primarily with a Wii U. Still an under appreciated console

Super Mario Bros Wii is one of the greatest video games of all time. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and due to it's gameplay, graphics, and levels as it was just so fun and innovative. It was decent. To this day I still play it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍💯😎👍
No it isnt the level design is bland it has mid bosses its overrated and the only reason its loved is cause of nostalgia most of the things are stolen from the ds version expect for yoshi the koopalings and multiplayer and the graphics feel outdated

New Super Mario Bros Wii is one of my all time favorites. I played it so much with one my cousins until I finally got a copy of my own for Christmas 2011.
Me and my sister would always argue and get angry at each other while playing this.

the wii was my only console as a child until 2017 when i got an xbox for my birthday.
In the mushroom houses you can search up the cheat sheet because each mushroom pannel house has like 3 or 2 variations. So you just have figure out wich variation it is it helped me out alot

best wii game, by far, but i dont think its nostalgia like super mario world or mario party ds, but it feels euphoric hearing the different themes. but the one that feels the best listening to is the title screen music

me and my brother never got passed 6-castle
when our cousins played with us we went through the final boss and their mom finished the game getting world 9

This was my second video game after i got Mario kart Wii wean i was 4 years old.
I was disappointed when I finally decided to quench my nostalgia thirst by emulating this game, because for years I convinced myself that this was one of the best 2D platformers of all time even better then Rayman Legends a game I loved but I was very disappointed appointed to find it mediocre. Brilliant video though.
