Exactly what, per se, did he say to contradict himself? I'm not sure you were paying attention, and rather, are channeling some talking head through your comment.
I agree with Vivek that even people with a basic level of intelligence can do a lot with what they have. And that would include perhaps 90% of the population. But there are some who are borderline, and some who are below even that level, and are lost in a system that relies exclusively on or overemphasizes individual achievement, independence and capacity for success.
I really pray that he wins and be the President of the United States of America. He is the BEST candidate in a very very very long time. I will bless you more Vivek I will bless you more. 🙏❤️🙏
45:18-47:30 I heard this at work and it hit me in waves. He continues to shock me. We have a perfect candidate before us and we’re gonna be too stupid to not vote this guy in and it’s gonna make me sick.

Vivek steps up and defends us dumb midwesterners when Erik gets a little condescending. By the way Eric, you ain’t smarter than one of today’s farmers. You might be surprised. I moved to Silicon Valley from Southern Indiana and found myself getting asked about my racist fly-over state, and as it turns out the most racism I have ever seen was in SF. Vivek is saying y’all ain’t smarter than me, so when I tell you to stop looking down your nose at Midwesterners or Southerners, you had better perk your ears up, or you might just get rolled up. By the way, Vivek taking this on, is damn tough for most people to do. Also, kudos to Erik for taking being dressed down to this level, and still putting the podcast up. When I was in Silicon Valley, it was pretty well Libertarian and SF full on Communist. Erik, the rest of the Bay’s politics are garbage, and the people from the Midwest kind of shake their heads and say, it is a shame these people can be so brilliant and be so dumb. That goodwill goes so far. We look to people out on the coasts with a feeling of, what is it like to grow up out here with all the great things the coasts provide. Brilliant museums, great schools, best music scenes, beaches and mountains? Then too often we start to see you guys got indoctrinated while we were studying stuff that will be useful in life, and we find you don’t know how to do things, and you staft talking down to us and your mexican servants and you fear going to The Tenderloin or Oakland. In the Midwest, we grew up without a racist bone in our bodies. We thought of racism as dumb old people shit. my black and asian and hispanic friends were just my friends. We all thought that was from another era. I never got used to the Lefty scene In Sf or the East Bay, and I was aligned with the libertarian vibe of The Valley, but I loved Snow boarding and Sailing and being where the Internet boom was in full swing. Unfortunately, y’all caught the big head. Vivek is right here, and it really is your turn to extend the hand and olive branch, as well as police your extremist side. You will find The ideals of the Enlightenment are still here for us to share.
I don't think this guy will make it as President. He's obviously highly intellectual and intelligent critical thinker. You think Trump was a free thinker, this guy makes sense... I just don't see him make through the thick fog Liberalism.
@@douglemay7989dude please sell that Chevy some place else. You are calling him a used car salesman but you’re the one who is acting like one and failed one.
Going right to the source of fatherlessness would be addressing modern contraception, Vasalgel is slated for men in 2026, the under-skin female equivalent could be offered as well to minimize unwanted preganancies in the first place.
Is it really fair, though, if someone is born with low intelligence, no real talent for anything, is depressed, has biochemical and neurochemical imbalances and serious physical and mental health issues they did not bring about, and has no enjoyment of life, while another person has the opposites of all these? Shouldn't something be done for the former? Doesn't the latter owe some form of help or service, or a helping hand to the former? Voluntarily?
Our society already does and mostly always has done that. The issue is, other capable people exploit this compassion from society and "pretend" to be less capable to leech off society. Vivek2024!
@@thisso5644 There's definitely some truth in that. Others use their gifts for exclusively selfish or mostly selfish purposes. Others use their intelligence to trick, fool, cheat or otherwise take advantage of 9tgers or of the system. The American Dream that Vivek refers to is a mostly selfish dream. The more I look at it, in fact, the more it seems flawed and limited, and even seriously flawed. Serving may be better than grabbing whatever you can. Giving rather than accumulating. Serving others or country rather than self. Or serving God alone, whatever than may mean, or as close as you can get, which may be ever progressively closer.
The original post gave an extreme example. It was only meant as an example. There is a spectrum, or rather many, in a variety of areas. Whether it's health, cognitive abilities, various types of talents or gifts, motivation, energy, insight, inheritance, foresight, clarity, philosophies of life, education, purpose, love, luck - spectra of all kinds of things.
Initially found him very refreshing and appealing. Vivek is extremely smart, articulate and decently charismatic. However the more I listen to what he’s really saying, the more radical he sounds - he tries to hard to be a contrarian edge lord and doesn’t offer a platform that can actually unify liberals and conservatives.
@@NOFATSCH1CKZI’ve listened to several of his interviews and podcast appearances before including all-in, bill maher, firing line. @@jbw6351 "he tries to hard to be a contrarian edge lord and doesn’t offer a platform that can actually unify liberals and conservatives". Completely Disagree, I would say this is in his STRONGEST point that no other candidate I've heard of in my lifetime has courageously propelled towards which is to speak the truth, disintegrate useless pieces of the government, and revive our national identity not merely in found in labels of republican or democrat. This platform then includes connecting the people to GIVE BACK responsibility to the people for the state of our moral climate instead of allowing us to be victims of our own demise which is what the USA has been seduced to by global influence.
he says stupid things that are terrible for the country but adds a little semantical distinction that allows him to defend indefensible stuff - 'make the obscene palatable' - look at his climate change answer from the debate. "is climate change real" - he knows it is, so he answers "the climate change agenda is a hoax" - then he can talk about ESG or some shit. But he obfuscates the actual point.
