@@thatmanmangoold enough to fight, old enough to vote doesn’t make sense in a time of peace where a “fight” is very unlikely. the country is changing, and life has changed and our culture has changed 18 year olds used to get married, buy a house, and already start having their first child by 20 if not sooner. and the man in that relationship probably had some type of manual labor job since he was 14 or 16 which instilled some type of responsibility early on. that’s not the case anymore when most 18 year olds have never had a job, and most of them aren’t going into the real world/work force but instead are going to High School Pt 2 aka College, which for a lot of them is just a way to pay a lot of money to escape the responsibility that comes with being an adult citizen. a blank slate age mandate of 25 i do think is absurd, but something like no voting until 22 UNLESS you meet certain criteria makes more sense. Like if you currently or previously served in military or first responder you automatically have it. if you’re under 22 then you have to have a job, or a registered business, sometime within the last year before election day. and, like vivek said about having to pass a civics test it should be similar as well if you are under 22. oh, another one ppl not gonna like is if you are under 22 AND you are claimed as a dependent on someone else’s taxes and you don’t have a job and haven’t taken civics test then yea you shouldn’t be able to vote 18 year olds gonna vote for whoever tiktok tells them to so.. prolly a bad idea to have a bunch of children choosing the president

I agree, my biggest input however is regarding people with mental health need to be taken care of, my biggest issue is a large majority of those suffering mentally either don’t want too or can’t afford mental health as it’s very expensive or they don’t have the time to go get mental health I believe we also need a major overhaul of the mental health side of our systems as many who end up committing these actions either rarely or at all speak out to mental health professionals instead suffering in silence until something sends them over the edge. I have a slight quibble with his always talking about ideals. That can get close to utopianism. My own view is that the Founders had a humble assessment of human nature, and were somewhat cynical about most people's capacity to get too much power without getting corrupted by it. They were anti-elitist. -- We're all imperfect. We're all sinners. Our founders knew this, and set up a government with limitations on power, with the power divided into three branches, to guard against the corruption that comes when a leader or leader gets too much power concentrated. -- What they gave us is a paradoxical kind of idealism that elevates the people to the status of leaders, but as imperfect sinners who have to make a living and get along with one another and get lots of feedback from others to keep us humble. The idealism here is that the people are as good and morally worthy as any batch of wealthy, educated elites. It's an idealism based on a humble assessment of human nature.
The more i hear, the more i like and am impressed by Vivek. He nailed it, the right to bear arms is integral to maintaining our freedoms. Against a government that is increasingly overstepping their authority. An actual example of a "cold war" in effect. We are the check to maintain the balance of a limited government our founders envisioned. The constitution grants no rights, it restricts government, its up to us to make sure they stay within the bounds of those restrictions. That takes civic responsibility, we have to be involved to maintain these ideals. An old adage, "you may not be interested in politics, but that doesnt mean politics wont take an interest in you."
Just saying, check and double check anyone now. He could be wolf in sheep's clothing or the at this time to say what he's saying to divide Trump supporters.

18 year olds used to get married, buy a house, and already start having their first child by 20 if not sooner. and the man in that relationship probably had some type of manual labor job since he was 14 or 16 which instilled some type of responsibility early on. that’s not the case anymore when most 18 year olds have never had a job, and most of them aren’t going into the real world/work force but instead are going to High School Pt 2 aka College, which for a lot of them is just a way to pay a lot of money to escape the responsibility that comes with being an adult citizen. a blank slate age mandate of 25 i do think is absurd, but something like no voting until 22 UNLESS you meet certain criteria makes more sense. Like if you currently or previously served in military or first responder you automatically have it. if you’re under 22 then you have to have a job, or a registered business, sometime within the last year before election day. and, like vivek said about having to pass a civics test it should be similar as well if you are under 22. oh, another one ppl not gonna like is if you are under 22 AND you are claimed as a dependent on someone else’s taxes and you don’t have a job and haven’t taken civics test then yea you shouldn’t be able to vote

Gotta respect and admire how intelligent and articulate both these men are! If only the average person in America could be as great as them...
Ha ha. I like your funny words magic man.
Even half as good and we would all be better for it.
This is one of the best conversations I've seen with a candidate for ANY office. Thank you, Colion, for bringing him on.
Anyone who believes in and understands our constitution has my support. Not only for the 2A but for what it means to our freedom. That being said, if we don't fix our education system, nothing we do to try to save this country will matter.
I like Vivek's plan for that too. Get rid of department of education and teacher unions and give the money to the parents so they can choose where to send their kids and let the schools 'compete' for the kids.
@danielkim672 Yes indeed!! Public schools will be forced to hire real teachers and not activists in order to compete with private and home schooling. Colleges must also get in line, and the government needs to get out of the loan business so tuition will come down.
Finally someone who is pro American and knowledgeable! This is how debates and conversations should be. Vivek has my vote.
All I see from Ramaswamy is a man who changed political parties from being a Democrat to being a Republican....and one who took $90K dollars from Soros for his Yale degree. He also tried to have a Wikipedia editor ( bribe ) to have some facts removed from his Wikipedia page....A man with something to hide IMO.
Never heard of him till this interview myself, but he has my vote!
He has pulled me away from Gov. DeSantis thats for sure, and its not just this topic were he wins. America: Vivek gets it.
Don't get too excited, he was involved in the WEFs young leader program. Same as Trudeau, Macron, etc.
@@BaalAdvocate Whoops!
Never seen a politician with a better 2A understanding
That's why he wants everyone to have the same fundamental understanding of what our constitution is meant to represent and protect.
I think a good deal of them understand it, it just threatens their power so they’re scared to speak the truth
He's not a politician, he's a business man, who went to Harvard and Yale law school. However, I like his vision. I went to medical school (Cornell University) with his wife's brother. Vivek's wife is a physician too.
Probably because he's not a politician. Has never ever been involved in government just running for president because he has a vision.
@@ricks.1092 I am aware, in my eyes if you are running for political office you are a politician.... However I can just say I have never heard anyone running for federal office or in federal office speaking of the 2A in this fashion
What a great interview! The more I listen to Vivek the more I am amazed! Thank you Colion for bringing him on. I thought the idea of baking a gun safety course into civic duty is genius! I don't like believing in politicians anymore but this guy really is giving me hopes of bringing America back. This guy is on another level of genius but also elaborates his platform so well. I really like Trump, except for his constant bragging about his no doubt very great accomplishments in office, but I want to hear how we move forward. They didn't do Trump right and I am very grateful to him and his family for making America great again but they are full on attacking him. I would never abandon him to these wolves but Vivek is speaking my language and it's unencumbered with a ton of false indictments. I get a good gut feeling from him too. Trump & Vivek could do wonderful things, but who knows if these two Alfas could be humble enough to work together and make Americans proud again. I love my Country but my government is really letting me down. The judicial, executive, and legislative are derelict of their duties right now. I can't believe they indicted a president running for reelection. God please touch these people and light their path.
I gotta say, I’m a straight up Trump fan but this guy is winning me over slowly! His originalist constitutionalist ideology is definitely to my liking.
Trump 2024, Ramaswamy 2028.
Trump "take the gun first, due process later"
Soros
just keep in mind that me personally i dont trust anyone to go after the swamp but trump period. I feel like anyone else just wont have the balls to do it and let it go, sweep it under the rug like none of what is going on happened. That wont fix anything long term. Trump must win this guy or any of the other candidates can be next. we will need way more than just 2 term to fix all this bullshit
@@maicon9 Trump wont fix this nation, this nation pushed God out and it was God that gave the christians this nation period
"The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it." One of my favorite quotes.
My favorite 2A advocate and my favorite presidential contender. Can't wait to see this!
Vivek you are on the very edge of getting my vote. Well worded dialogue, coming from the heart and having faith in this great country to be great again. Willing to educate and have immigrants learn or serve this great nation. It’s leaders like you that can revive the US spirit as it was since 9/11.
Wow. I am absolutely mind blown by this guy. A legitimate presidential candidate. I pray to Jesus that this man can lead our country someday. Very smart and nuanced arguments. Let’s vote for this man!
Make sure you're registered and can vote in the primary. If not, remember how to spell his name so you can write him in.
🤣"pray to Jesus" about a man who denies Jesus. He's hindu 😂
You realize he’s not Christian right? So your hoping Jesus will put in a non christian. 🤔. That’s a new tactic.
He definitely has a future in politics
Google his name and soros money! Homework people!
I’ve never had an easier time watching a 24 minute video. Great interview.
I agree, I think it’s the fact that Vivek is just a very engaging speaker.
Thanks bot man
4:28 “Our worst hypocrisies as a country are still our best evidence of our core ideals.” I had to pause and really ponder that statement… and it’s not only deep but also accurate and powerful. We are an imperfect country of imperfect people with a collective imperfect past and still plenty of imperfections with which to wrestle. BUT, our founders fully acknowledged this exact thing… “In order to form a MORE PERFECT UNION…”. This language is intentional and indicates that we are far from perfect to begin with nor did we think we had found the perfectly right way, but we damn sure we’re working towards that TOGETHER.
Beautiful
it irritates me that more people don't bother to learn or think about any of this. because not knowing this is what will land you in prison when you are in the right.not knowing our rights as homeowners and renters had my family kicked out of our homes on more than one occasion. knowing all of your rights, the language with which they are said, and how to properly invoke/exorcise those rights is far more important than what taylor swift posted on tik tok last week. yet some how the people i see don't seem to get the fact that knowledge is power and to pause and think is an important skill set.
@@mdzmdz7329 it’s Absolutely Beautiful 👊
Most informative video I've seen on the deep seated "WHY" the second amendment is so important. In the words of the next US president "it gives all the other amendments its teeth". Awesome vid keep up the good work! True patriots like you gentlemen are winning the heart and minds of the lost with the wisdom of your country's founding fathers. I pray the Lord will keep on guiding and protecting you. In Jesus name amen 🤍✝️
I like the fact that he wants to revive American ideals derived from the document that founded our nation, the Constitution. Get away from all the bickering induced from selfish political parties preying on a divided nation to foster votes for their side.
yes it's time for full-automatic to be outside of elite's grasp-only 👍as foundation doctrine is same-equipment and procurement is taxpayer provided so it's used wiser and or in a battle field less-likely to get destroyed by stupidity ect
ps, im not talking about nuke's weaponry or anything-powered-ect as that's complicated on regulation/operation framework even for 1st-world government's
This dude could easily win if this video could go viral. This dude is smart. Every single thing he's saying is logical and full of passion.
This guy is spot on! I have never heard someone running for office be so frank, so forthright.
Vivek actually has me feeling like voting for the underdog. In the past we've seen people running that we may like, but we dont vote for them because we know there is no chance of them even being in the conversation. He has me so boosted and believing that it doest matter what the masses may vote, I stand with this man no matter the outcome! Trump, Biden? Whomever is the frontrunner, my voice actually has a sound when I support Vivek Ramaswamy! #VIVEK2024
Colion, This episode speaks to both you and Vivek. Well done and thank you for considering us as viewers and providing Vivek your platform.
It’s so great to watch deep and articulate conversations about this stuff. Vivek is killing it
Unlike other Vivek interviews I’ve seen, these guys have chemistry and it’s cool listening to them. Total buddy vibes.
Well said ! I absolutely agree
Having chemistry isn't necessary in moments like these.
VIVEK! the most sensible, America First candidate there was.... can't wait to see what his future does for America! I LOVE LOVE LOVE his message, and your conversation with him here should resonate with EVERY freedom loving American! Thank YOU! for having this conversation, you BOTH are great Americans!
I think most people would be proud to have this man represent america..imagine a president that can complete a thought and then verbalize it!!
Love it man! I had Vivek hug my neck during a conversation at the Iowa state fair and I’m telling you the guy is genuine when he speaks about these topics. The man is a constitutional purist in its original form, no deep interpretation needed, and that’s 100% something I can get behind. Anyone else ever seen a presidential candidate on any 2A platform on UA-cam!
I have never heard ANYONE talk about 2A so intelligently. The two of you really made the whole concept of FREEDOM and Guns being interconnected clear. Thanks and God Bless.
Snake oil salesman
Great interview. I really like Vivek's view and how he really follows real American Ideals
Vivek is fantastic. This is the best articulation of the purpose of 2A that I've EVER seen from a politician.
You write:
>> "It's the best articulation of the 2A by a politician, ... "
But I'd say it's the ONLY articulation (that *I have *personally witnessed) on the 2A - in any *POSITIVE light - by a politician.
& it's LIKELY the best articulated, (with it's truest & deepest meaning) than any NON-politician has dared to put forth.
🙂 👊👍
Hands down.
For decades when I get into a discussion about gun ownership I have said the ONLY reason we have a right to own a gun is to provide a check on tyranny from our government. It is incredibly refreshing to hear a POTUS candidate actually say it out loud.
Agreed.
“So long as I am President, I will always protect your Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms.” - Donald J Trump
@@dankchewy2699the NRA convinced Trump to ban bump stocks.
Actually, self defense as well as community defense are also reasons for it and the founders wanted all lawful activities to be covered. Prevention of tyranny is the most important reason but not the only reason for private citizens to keep and bear arms.

Yeah, my family came over in 1609 one of the oldest families in America. We still hold our values strong. Even though I'll be ending my bloodline, (degenerative autoimmune disease) I'll be adopting and still raise a child like they're my own blood raised with true American values.

Great interview! Thank you to you and Vivek for having this discussion.
As a 21 year old that hasn’t done much research and politics, I can say that I’m very open to both sides, but seeing this man’s passion and ability to reach the younger audience, I would definitely say he has my vote over any other candidate
You can't be "open" to Freedom and tyranny at the same time. First, don't watch TV and expect to learn anything. Whatever is being said just assume the opposite, like in North Korea. They just want some of your rights, if you don't mind.
He lied to you man, he was paid by Soros in his scholarship and was part of the WEF
He is a shill, a plant, he says hes anti globalist and he lied to you anññ

Make sure to look into how Vivek made his money and his other views too.

Colion , thanks for giving this guy a chance to speak. We don't have to have just 2 old guys running for office......
By far the most well spoken descriptive of the 2nd Amendment.
He also said during a discussion that there should be a 10-day waiting. I think he's a wolf in sheep's clothing they all talk a good game until they get into office

I really appreciate You interviewing Vivek, Colion. I also LOVE the fact that He's willing to say the TRUTH about WHY the 2A exists.
It's PRIMARY and main purpose is to enable us to protect ourselves from Tyranny.
2A history, racist gun laws, and firearms safety should be mandatory for high-school graduation
What do you mean by racist gun laws?
just abolish the federal education requirement. That way the rural school will still have gun club and PE.

Heres how a "conversation" about the 2nd ammendment should ALWAYS go. Shall not be infringed, try and die. Period. Thats the end of the "conversation".
This is one of the most intellectually interesting and honest conversations I’ve heard on the 2nd amendment. Thank you for having these conversations and inspiring the people to find unity.
I totally agree that HS graduates need to be able to pass the same test as any American citizen.
I also believe strongly in armed guards at every school entrance
He’s knowledgeable on the 2nd amendment. He knows more than any politician I heard speak about firearms.
Mike Steube and Thomas Massie are also politicians who actually know enough about guns to call out anti-gun bullshit.
Vivek is very articulate. BUT.. Colion is no slouch either. I was taken aback with his questions and counter points. Two brilliant fellows bringing the kernel of truth to the front ! So worth the full watch!
I really like this guy. He's slowly convincing me that he should get my vote.
One of your best episodes. Unedited long form conversations are infinitely more illuminating than sound bites and “interviews”.
2A being the back stop for all other rights is a great analogy.
