Also ! If your legs are swollen, it is a sign that you have too much water in you! Reduce your salt intake! My 77-year-old mother had swollen legs (later it can damage her heart and lungs). The doctor prescribed Furosemide for her to urinate! Now she no longer has a swollen legs, foot

I found that restless legs are mostly caused by the kidneys that needs to be flushed regularly with water. At night when my legs are sore or restless, after drinking a glass of water, it helps me also to sleep better.
Do check your medications. Sometimes if there is more than one medicine which targets the central nervous system, then they can counteract each other resulting in conflicting signals which causes restless feet. If yes, then stopping one or more of them should give you relief.
I did these exercises for the first time after suffering from swollen feet , ankles and calf muscles and was astonished to see the reduced swelling and after three days , they have all returned to normal!!! I can't believe that there' are still good and selfless souls like you around. God bless and thank you Dr Mandell.
You are really helping me. My lymphatic system has been damaged by radiation therapy. Your exercises have reduced lymphatic swelling, improved my balance and my belief that perhaps I can function as before. I get really bad burning feet throughout the day and before bed the pain is brutal but as soon as I’m done these exercises the pain slowly goes away it’s amazing and I can sleep better at night!!

Dr Mandell you are the greatest. Thank you for all your advice. I had a leg op for circulation problems 4 yrs ago and ever since then I am in pain everyday. The specialist who did the op shrugged his shoulders when I asked him what else can I do for the pain. He told me to go and find a neurosurgeon which I did he gave me a back op. Now I have pain in my back and cannot bend. My legs and feet pain 24/7 I can't even go for a walk I have to wear a crutch to walk. I will definitely try these excerises and pray it helps me. ❤❤❤

Thank you Dr. Mandell! I have a condition called Foot Drop. It’s difficult for me to do the exercises because the muscles in the back of my legs are very weak. However, I will keep trying to make the motions to exercise my legs and feet.

I used to do zumba , long time ago and bootcamp and yoga. Now I do a lot of walking. Ur so good giving advice and among other things. I learned a lot that I didn't know that I could do. Awesome doc! This gave me the idea to use my exercise bike… I lay on the floor in front of it and paddle with slight resistance. 20 minutes. My legs and feet are lifted above my heart. Heart rate went up; will incorporate a few of your suggestions also. Thanks so much!
