@@robertgaudio4649 Oh I totally agree, Robert. I made my own negative comment last week under Dianne's. Did you watch DS when you were a kid? I started at almost 10 in April '67 when Barnabas was introduced. Was in the 4th grade! :-)
Dark Shadows was my absolute favorite show when I was in grade school. I would race home after school to make sure I didn’t miss an episode that came on at 4pm. My favorites were Barnabas, Quentin, and Dr Julia….
I started watching that in first grade, enjoyed it and remember talking about it in show and tell during class, that was about 1967, at that point in my life before dark shadows, I had no qualms about going to bed in the dark, after watching dark shadows for a while- I started sleeping with the lights on.
Yup, we ALL ran home daily to watch. I mean we really ran. I grew up on Staten Island, and us NYC kids were the ones responsible for getting Dark Shadows pushed to a 4 pm time slot. In the late summer and fall of 1968, NYC teachers went on strike. (as usual) they were out for about 2 months if I recall. When they returned, the NYC schools added one hour more to the school day for us kids to make up for time lost due to teachers unions greediness . We went in half hour earlier and stayed a half hour later. Until 3:30. So since Dark aired at 3:30, lots of kids missed part of the show. So someone started a write in campaign to ABC TV channel 7 in midtown Manhattan. They immediately got overwhelmed with hundreds of thousands of letters from all over the country requesting Dark to be moved to a later time slot. It didn't take long. And they did. In The Fall of 1968 was the reason everyone started running home from school so not to miss it. This was when the best story line was going on too. It was right about after the Dream curse sequence (thank you Angelique!) and when Amy and David Collins discovered Quentins ghost in the west wing, if I recall. Thats When Dark became a classic cult show and had the highest ratings in the nation. A few times me and friends went up to ABC in NY to wait with the hundreds of fans lined at ABC studio on 57th St (I think it was on 57th st then) to wait to see some cast members and get autographs. It was a great time to be a kid in New York, even tho 1968 was a turbulent year with race riots, MLK, and RFK assassinations a month apart in April and June. But yes, New York city kids were the reason everyone started running home in the fall of 1968, to watch the show. A cult phenomenon, 55 years later, one of televisions greatest stories.
David Selby as Quentin Collins was my favorite actor on DS which you fail to mention. Even Laura Parker as Angelique the witch who turned Barnabas into a vampire.

Me too. I still can't believe my mom let me watch it. I couldn't sleep at night. I would go and sit with my dad at the kitchen table in the wee hours of the morning. lol
It’s a tie between Victoria and Maggie. Now that I am thinking about it why didn’t you mention Laura Parker and Willy who I think played the husband of Lacy in Cagney and a lacy. I would rush home from school to watch this show. My younger brother watched it with me and terrified. Jonathan Frid made an appearance at the Devon Horse Show that was just down the street we lived on. It was fun to see him in person.

It's surprising you didn't mention David Selby, who was the werewolf Quentin Collins or Denise Nickerson who played Amy Jennings and later had a role in Willie Wonka.
Thank you LOTS for updating the major players of Dark Shadows. There were a lot of other actors, basically all of them that became "fan favorites" that Dan Curtis, the executive producer said that when they were killed off, he'd write them back in as a "relative" or another part to keep them in the series, and "The fans loved it'! I was one of those "run home from school" kids trying to make it before I missed too much of the show in 1967 and 68 until sports came into my life, but did catch up on the series in the Summer. Lara Parker was a major actor and appeared quite frequently as Angelique and other roles as did John Karlen as "Willie." I hope you can further add the information on them and the other cast members that all seemed to be "here and there" until the end in 1971. Thank you again... 💕
We, as young teens rushing home to watch the first soap opera we had ever found interesting, adored Barnabus, and truly found Quentin to be frightening!
Lara Parker became a writer. She wrote and has sold four Dark Shadows fiction books and some wonderful Dark Shadows Audio Drama CDs that can be bought off of her official Lara Parker Blog / Store / autographed items. She is still still beautiful into her older age. I love hearing her expressive voice and how she talks / reads in the Dark Shadows audio drama stories from the Big Finish Productions website, I mean she sounds the same as when she did the TV show. Loved Lara Parker in the episode of Carl Kochak The Night Stalker episode The Trevi Collection wherein she played a beautiful 1970's fashion model who just happened to be a Witch! :) great fun.
My favorite character wasn’t included, although she was more of a major character than some others mentioned. I thought Angelique, played by Lara Parker was wonderful.
U was one of those untold numbers of kids who rushed home from grade school to watch Dark Shadows from 1967 on. My favorites were Barnabas, Maggie, Sarah and Quentin.
You forgot some key facts. Nancy Barrett was married to David Ford. Lara Parker played Angelique Bouchard and Cassandra Collins and is still alive today. Rest in peace, Mitchell Ryan, my FIRST favorite on Dark Shadows, followed by Jonathan Frid, Louis Edmond (aka big Louie!), and David Selby( who is also still alive and living in W. Virginia).
Great video! I'm currently rewatching the entire Dark Shadows series, from Episode #1, and I'm loving it! I watched it as a kid, after school, and remember much of it to this day. One error, Mark Allen did not portray Sam Evans in 22 episodes, he portrayed him only 7 times before David Ford replaced him. And you didn't mention that David Ford was once married to Nancy Barrett, Carolyn Stoddard! My favorite character: Maggie Evans! I thought Kathryn Leigh Scott was prettier than Alexandra Moltke Isles, Nancy Barrett, or Lara Parker
Joan Bennett, of course and dear Jonathan....I often served him cocktails at a small restaurant bar in lower Manhattan ...he was very kind and gracious
I used to watch Dark Shadows every day after elementary school in the 60’s. I would run home from school & yes we had to run home in the winter as well. It would take me 20 minutes to run home. School got out at 3:30PM sharp. 8 minutes to go to my locker, no running in the hallways. But I ran like a bat outta hell when I was outside, because Dark Shadows started at 4:00PM. My favorite character was & still is Angelique “Lara Parker.” I had the hots for her in 1966 at 11 years old. Even in black & white she was spectacular. I finally watched one of your videos. These videos are well done & I am impressed. I was expecting subtitles, I hate subtitles. I also was quite impressed with the information you present. I have liked & subscribed to your channel.
I loved Jonathan Frid. He was so mysterious & cultured. You didn't mention his sidekick Willie Loomis played by John Karlin. Nothing compares to "Dark Shadows". I rushed home from school everyday to watch it. The hauntingly beautiful music with the waves crashing on the rocks. My favorite part was the romance between Barnabas & Jossette.
My top favorites have all died, Jonathan Frid, Grayson Hall, and John Karlen. But my absolute top favorites who are alive are Kathryn Leigh Scott and the wonderful Nancy Barrett!
Why do none of these Dark Shadows retrospectives ever mention that Joan Bennett was the aunt of Morton Downey, Jr.? Also, Alexandra Isles was Alexandra Moltke on the show. And Nancy Barrett, like many other cast members, is a very accomplished theatre actress.
I liked the intro where it's nighttime, then the dude is looking down at the 'ocean', and an ocean clip filmed in the day time pops 😁 up. It's a shame Jonathan F. didn't get to live to see the Dark Shaddows movie with Johnny Depp, where Jonathan had a quick cammeo.
So glad to see my girl Grayson Hall on here. I adored her and all her characters on DS. Only problem on here was she played Dr Julia Hoffman not Hallman. 😉
Jonathan Frid, by far! He brought his character, Barnabus Collins, to life! Tremendous acting! Other favorites include Vicky, Roger, Maggie, Willie and the many roles played by Joan Bennett.
I can remember watching Dark Shadows back when I was just a kid and loved watching Johnathan Frid . I liked watching them all but he was the one I liked the best .
My favorite Dark Shadows character is Barnabas Collins hands down & next is Julia Holliman who was his confident. Those 2 made that show. David Shelby who played Quinten Collins played Richard Channing on Falcon Crest when that show was on television during most of the 1980’s.
I'm baffled! This list of cast and their whereabouts is missing one MAJOR actor and character: Lara Parker as Angelique!!! How is that possible?!! Thank you for the others, but where was David Selby as Quentin Collins?!! Where where the kids? Please plan a sequel!
She was also on an episode of The Night Stalker. She played a witch on there, very reminiscent of her roles on Dark Shadows. Ah that wonderful scary laugh!! I don’t think anyone could laugh like her.
I've ALWAYS loved this series! I followed it on a daily basis & really enjoyed it. I wish they would bring it back. I even learned how to play "Quentin's Theme" on an organ which is still a fond memory for me. 😊
What about Lara Parker???? She was my favorite as Angelique. Also: David Selby, Marie Wallace, John Karlen, Jerry Lacy, Dennis Patrick, Clarice Blackburn, David Hennesy. . . You need to do a Part 2. I know who's here and who's gone but some fans don't. And update those who have passed since this was made.
Lara Parker (Angelique), Kathryn Leigh Scott (Josette), David Selby (Quentin), and Jonathan Frid (Barnabas) were my favorites. But all the actors, writers, crews, and Dan Curtis were spectacular!!!!!
How do you forget the child actors like David Henesy, Sharon Smyth and Denise Nickerson? As far as the adults go, how could you overlook Lara Parker and Humbert Allen Astredo as Nicholas Blair?
I was disappointed that neither Anita Bolster (Bathia Mapes, the good witch) nor Bob O’Connell (convivial Blue Whale bartender/proprietor) was mentioned either.
Great video . I do want to recommend what I believe should have been included in the video. Dr. Julia Hoffman’s character last name was wrong. It’s Dr. Julia Hoffman. Another would be to add Lara Parker as Angelique Bouchard, the main antagonist in Dark Shadows. Last but not least, Kathryn Leigh Scott also is an author and has written several books. I did enjoy the video though! My favorite character from the show is Barnabas Collins played by Johnathan Frid. I am watching Dark Shadows currently and hoping to finish watching all of the episodes soon !!!
I loved that show. I was probably in the 3rd grade when I remember watching it. I remember having the little 45 record called Quentin's theme. I don't remember how it went now, I'll try to look it up. I used to think the show was filmed in some other country. Barnabas was one of my favorites. Each actor made the show what it was. Great memories..
There are two versions. Quentin's Theme, with lyrics and the instrumental Charles Randolph Greene Sound.I'm kinda partial to the instrumental. Is Isles Alexandra's married name? Although he never mentioned she was married. Just trying to figure out where the Isles name came from for her.😕
@@MG-es2no your the first person that remembers Quentons theme. I've mentioned it a few times with no response. I like the music version the most as well. I need to start watching Dark Shadows from the beginning on Pluto. I've been hooked on the rifleman one of my other favorite shows from those days. I wish I had an answer to your questions, hopefully someone else will be able to help you. Thank you for the reply.
I play it during Halloween for my preschool class. I have taught them to waltz, as best they could, to the instrumental. Like I said I have the vinyl album, and I have the album on CD.
It's a shame David Selby and Lara Parker weren't included, as they portrayed two of the most prominent characters on the show. As for my favorite, it was Katherine Leigh Scott (as Maggie Evans). Besides being smart and pretty, she was very strong willed. A fighter. So much so that, despite Barnabas' power and tormenting, he ultimately realized he couldn't break her into being someone or something she didn't want to be.
Jonathan Frid visited Spokane Washington in the early 2000s for a speaking engagement about his career while I was working at a university. I could not go due to my work schedule but what students, friends, and the newspaper told me he was a wonderful and engaging speaker. I grew up watching this program in Los Angeles and seeing the movies that were made too. Sure wanted to ask him a lot of questions about his career. RIP and thank you for sharing yourself with your fans. Have to find that radio play(s) that was mentioned here.
Jonathan Frid was the best vampire I used to watch dark shadows when I come home from school he came home at 3:30 I guess he was probably my favorite he really fit his Part like a stake through the heart
You forgot David Selby (Quentin Collins) Kate Jackson (Daphne), and David Henesy (David Collins). Mitchell Ryan played Alex Hunter in "All My Children". Barnabas was my favorite character. I seem to remember Caroline having red hair.
My mom worked in a nursing home and Dark Shadows would be on every day. When she had a shift change she would watch at home and that’s where I got hooked. Later they showed reruns on, I think, UHF channel 31 in NY and we were able to watch it from the beginning
The best show ever made. I watched much of the 69/70 season after getting out of kindergarten. It was mind blowing for a little kid. Couldn't get enough of it.
How could you forget Lara Parker who play Angelique? She died Oct 12, 1923. David Selby who play Quentin Collins, still alive. Kate Jackson who played Daphne, still alive. John Karlen who played Willie Loomis died Jan 22, 2020. Gerald Leroy Lacey who played Trask still around. Jim Storm who played Gerald Stiles still around.
MY MAIN MAN BARNABAS!!! I've said this before: Johnathan Frid is THE ONE AND ONLY BARNABAS COLLINS!!! BEN CROSS?!?!?PULLLEASE!!! STICK TO RUNNING TRACK AND FIELD!!!!!💪💪💪💪✌✌✌✌
I guess we were all doing the same, making sure we were at the tv by 4pm. LoL No VHS, DVD, Internet, DVR... we were there and ANGELIQUE! She scared the hell outta me. A dominant relentless witch in every sense of it. Barnabas opposite her on episodes lit up the screen. Fury of evil! Loved it!
I was in love with Barnabas Collins (Johnathan Frid). When I was a child I would race home after school so I could watch the weekday episode of Dark Shadows. I hated Angelique as the villainess she was. And hoped for Dr Hoffman to find Barnabas a cure so he could finally find peace with his Josette. When the series ended I was heartbroken as I lost my one love. However I saw Darby O'Gil and the little people and allowed Sean Connery to claim the void. I still remained loyal to Dark Shadows and watched each remake of the tv show and movie with Johnny Depp. Johnathan was a way better Barnasbas... sorry Johnny... stick to Pirates of the Caribbean
Thanks for this clip which had some good info and was well narrated. It would have been nice to have mentions of Lara Parker (Angelique) and Diana Milay (Laura Collins). Kathryn Leigh Scott has a recurring role on ABC's The Goldbergs. I had read that David Ford and Nancy Barrett were married. Yikes! The stylized dignity that Joan Bennett brought to the show was readilyapparent to me even though I was a kid during Dark Shadows initial run. Jonathan Frid was a graduate of the Yale School of Drama; Barnabas was my favorite character, followed by Laura.
Many of the DS actors attended very impressive colleges and universities. In addition to your mentioning of Jonathan Frid at Yale University: Thayer David and Joel Crothers - Harvard University Roger Davis and Donald Briscoe - Columbia University Grayson Hall -Cornell University Louis Edmonds - Carnegie-Mellon University Terry Ann Crawford - Brown University, but did not attend due to a car accident. Nancy Barrett - UCLA
Who's Dr. Julia Holman? LOL. Good vid, though. I wasn't old enough to watch DS (i was born in 1968) but I remember my older siblings talking about running home from school to watch it. In the last few years, I've binge-watched through the whole series a couple of times. Really great show. All the bloopers and silliness are what give it its charm.
My favorite Dark Shadows actors are: Grayson Hall, Diana Millay, David Henesy, Jonathan Frid, Nancy Barrett, Robert Gerringer, Dennis Patrick, and Alexandra Moltke
ohhh yeah, actress Diana Millay as David's mother, she was so good in that role. Dan Curtis really liked Diana Millay for that part. She had a role in the Night of Dark Shadows movie
I loved DS from the beginning as a child to today and always will. All the cast on the show were fantastic and played there parts so well. Barnabas and Quentin is will always be my favorites.🖤🌚🦇
I'm one of the many, many kids who hurried home every day to watch Dark Shadows. I think it's how my interest in antiques and old houses started. I live in a house that's 125 years old, and own several pieces of antique furniture including a baby grand piano that belonged to my husband's grandmother. I've read several of Anne Rivers vampire books, and I'm convinced that Dark Shadows inspired her, since her vampires are a lot like Barnabas. Bananas was my favorite character, the archetype of the anti hero. No other actor was as good in that part as Jonathan Frid. RIP to all the actors who have passed. I'll always remember you. Truly unforgettable.
I agree with a comment below. Yes, how could you forget Lara Parker, who was the witch Angelique. She was a main character next to Barnabas. ...and you forgot Quentin who was the Werewolf. Among others too. Maybe you should do a part two.
Hard to pick a favorite character as I thoroughly enjoyed them all. What a unique and unusual show for its time. It aired right when I got out of elementary school, I ran as fast as I could to watch it, always missing the beginning, and was so annoyed that there was no scheduling consideration for children.
If you think that every member of the fictional Collins family was "utterly psychotic," you obviously either 1) didn't see many episodes of the original series or 2) don't understand the meaning of the word "psychotic," and are confusing it with "neurotic."
No mention of Denise Nickerson, Lara parker, david selby, or John Karlin. Also, no mention of Caroline's boyfriend for i believe a couple episodes early on. Wow, no mention of Parker, & she just died recently. What a gyp!
I used to watch this show Dark Shadows as a 3 year old. I would hide when it scared me. My Mom watched every episode. I went back and binge watched it on Netfix a few years ago. I loved this show. Barnabas Collins was my favorite character. Maggie/Joesette was my second favorite. She was gorgeous!
Adored Jonathan Frid's performances of Barnabas and Bramwell. He was the best actor and most versatile. He could be good, evil, romantic, devious, mysterious, sexy, sympathetic, sorrowful
This is my second time around for Dark Shadows! 3 months and I am past the halfway point already. I finished the first time, all 1245 episodes in SIX months!
I was in elementary school when Dark Shadows began airing in 1966, use to run home every day to watch the show with my Mom. I still watch Dark Shadows every evening. I
The character played by Grayson Hall was Dr. Julia Hoffman--NOT Hollman like you say in this video. Also, when you're talking about the woman who played Maggie Evans and Josette Collins, you show Vikki Winters several times. Thought you'd want to know about these mistakes.
I have to say that Barnabus was my favorite character in Dark Shadows. He soon became such an important figure in the storyline and plot development of the show.
I never could keep up of what was going on in the show, I had high school band and speech & drama. But it was a fun show to watch. John F had a role he could really sink his teeth into🕸🕷🐲
Need part two with Lara Parker, John Karlen and David Selby. Also, I don't see any reference to Julia Hoffman being called Julia Hollman. And for minor trivia, the fact that Nancy Barrett and David Ford were briefly married.
That was actress Kathleen Cody She is on Facebook btw. I think youtube has her episode that she did of The Partridge Family from the 70's and she did several Disney family movies in the 70's as well.
Ms. Kathryn Leigh Scott, if, by chance, you are reading this comment, I recently learned that, like you, I also have Norwegian lineage. It would be so cool, and an honor, to be even distantly related to Maggie Evans herself! Congrats on sharing a birthday with hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, btw. LOL! You are easily among my DS cast favorites along with Thayer David, Grayson Hall, David Selby and of course, Jonathan Frid.
When Barnabas comes to Julia's bedroom to kill her . He learns that she wants to cure him. This is the real beginning of their relationship. Also when Julia examines his blood and sees destruction of his cells. In medical terms is a hemolytic anemia but person is alive but does need blood transfusions if a treatment isn't working. I became a Med Tech specializing in blood disorders. My interest may have begun here.

What about david, Sarah, angelic, and Amy,
The soap opera Passions was inspired by Dark Shadows, Bewitched and Days of our Lives. Reilly was very creative with the soap Passion
I saw it on the FireStick, and Amazon Prime
Y'know, the fact that your every response is "Thanks for watching" tells me that you never really read the comments.
How could you leave out Lara Parker who played the witch Angelique.
Easily, with the really dumb mistakes they make on these videos----all the time.
Because he is unfamiliar with the show judging from the "Julia Holman" comment in the video.
Angelique was the second biggest star of the show after Barnabas Collins. How DARE YOU LEAVE HER OUT OF THIS VIDEO?!?!?!?!

Thanks for watching, Molly!
What happened to Angelique?! She was the favorite of most people that I knew!
She is still alive and kicking, in her early 80's now.
Thanks for watching, Molly!
Man those cheek bones!
@@thejupiter2574 - She had such beautiful and piercing eyes.
My favorite character wasn’t included, although she was more of a major character than some others mentioned. I thought Angelique, played by Lara Parker was wonderful.
Thanks for watching!
I loved that show as a kid! I couldn't wait to get home from school and watch it every day.
U was one of those untold numbers of kids who rushed home from grade school to watch Dark Shadows from 1967 on. My favorites were Barnabas, Maggie, Sarah and Quentin.
I am watching this on October 28 2023, Lara parker who played Angelique just passed away at 85. She was my favorite.
I loved Dark Shadows!!! I was 15 at that time and now I am 70! My favorite character was all of them! Definitely Joan Bennett
Glad to know that you're a fan of Dark Shadows! Thank you so much for sharing this. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
They were all pretty
Thanks for watching!
We're a big fan of Jonathan too. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
My top favorites have all died, Jonathan Frid, Grayson Hall, and John Karlen. But my absolute top favorites who are alive are Kathryn Leigh Scott and the wonderful Nancy Barrett!
Why do none of these Dark Shadows retrospectives ever mention that Joan Bennett was the aunt of Morton Downey, Jr.? Also, Alexandra Isles was Alexandra Moltke on the show. And Nancy Barrett, like many other cast members, is a very accomplished theatre actress.
For the die hard fans of Dark shadows, A very young Marsha Mason was one of Barnubus victims .
I liked the intro where it's nighttime, then the dude is looking down at the 'ocean', and an ocean clip filmed in the day time pops
😁 up.
It's a shame Jonathan F. didn't get to live to see the Dark Shaddows movie with Johnny Depp, where Jonathan had a quick cammeo.
Barnabus was my favorite character on Dark Shadows. It was my favorite show at the time. Thanks for this update.
So glad to see my girl Grayson Hall on here. I adored her and all her characters on DS. Only problem on here was she played Dr Julia Hoffman not Hallman. 😉
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
Yeah they really need a Part 2 to this one
What about David Selby and "Quentin's theme"?
Thanks for watching, Rick!
[Howtalli@davids÷lbyfromdarkshawsonddianekiley
I still remember the episode of Charlie's Angels that featured Lara Parker, she was hotter than any of the Angels
Thanks for watching, Tom!
I don't see that on her TV credits, Tom. Was it one of the earlier seasons, or the later ones?
She was also on an episode of The Night Stalker. She played a witch on there, very reminiscent of her roles on Dark Shadows. Ah that wonderful scary laugh!! I don’t think anyone could laugh like her.
She was never on Charlie's Angeles, Tom. That's INCORRECT and not true.
She was on 'The Night Stalker' Tom, not Charlie's Angels. You're confused somehow.
I've ALWAYS loved this series! I followed it on a daily basis & really enjoyed it. I wish they would bring it back. I even learned how to play "Quentin's Theme" on an organ which is still a fond memory for me. 😊
We're happy to know that you're a fan of the series. In your opinion, what is its best episode?
Barnabus Collins was my favorite actor, my mom even bought the game Dark Shadows for me at a young age...😎❤❤❤❤🎉
How do you forget the child actors like David Henesy, Sharon Smyth and Denise Nickerson? As far as the adults go, how could you overlook Lara Parker and Humbert Allen Astredo as Nicholas Blair?
Thanks for watching!
He did mention Kathryn Leigh Scott, even as a writer.
I just got my wife hooked on it! Great show. Barnabas Collins is my favorite character and vampire.
Thanks for watching, Al!
@@FactsVerse It just occurred to me that the character Daphne played by Kate Jackson wasn't mentioned here. I had a major crush on her as a kid.
I play it during Halloween for my preschool class. I have taught them to waltz, as best they could, to the instrumental. Like I said I have the vinyl album, and I have the album on CD.
I would rush home from school so I could watch Dark Shadows. I was hooked on the soap... thank you all for fond memories.
Thanks for watching, Ferria!
RIP 2 everyone on the list. 🙏
Thanks for watching!
Jonathan Frid was the best vampire I used to watch dark shadows when I come home from school he came home at 3:30 I guess he was probably my favorite he really fit his Part like a stake through the heart
My favorite show I would run home from school to watch the show. I love Jonathan Frid as Barnabas Collins. May he RIP 🙏✝️🤗
Correction: Grayson Hall's character's name was Dr. Julia HoffMAN on the DS TV Show!
Thanks for watching, Landi!
Yeah sorry Depp fans. But Frid WAS Barnabus
In addition to your mentioning of Jonathan Frid at Yale University:
Thayer David and Joel Crothers - Harvard University
Roger Davis and Donald Briscoe - Columbia University
Grayson Hall -Cornell University
Louis Edmonds - Carnegie-Mellon University
Terry Ann Crawford - Brown University, but did not attend due to a car accident.
Nancy Barrett - UCLA
Thank you for sharing this with us it brings back memories the place where they filmed dark shadows was a beautiful 🤩 place
OMG loved Dark Shadows....we need to rerun the series
It is rerun on Decades channel at 4 am
It’s on TUBI for free I’m watching the whole thing.
Thanks for watching!
I'm glad that someone else caught that.
My favorite Alexandra Moltke and Jonathan Frid
I loved DS from the beginning as a child to today and always will. All the cast on the show were fantastic and played there parts so well. Barnabas and Quentin is will always be my favorites.🖤🌚🦇
I’m watching the series now on Prime
Thanks for watching, Patti!
it' Free to view all 'five years' of the show on Tubi TV and on Plex TV no charge and the later Barnabas episodes on the IMDB website.
My wife and I are as well. Enjoy.
This was a nice remembrance of the series. I wish you would have included the children in the cast.
Thanks for watching, Gladys!
Grayson hall also received an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress in Night of the Iguana, John Hustons 1964 film .
The name was Hoffman not Holman! You must not be a Dark Shadows fan.
Yeah, He got several things wrong!
I'm still watching reruns of the show to this day, watching it now on my KINDLE FIRE ❤❤❤❤!
We're happy to know that you love the show. In your opinion, what is its best episode?
Laura Parker. He did mention her and she's one of the stars of the show. And yes she still alive. She played Angelique.
She was also in the film Race with the devil .
I'm surprised you did not mention John Karlen (Willie Loomis), Lara Parker (Angelique) and David Selby (Quentin).
My favorites are all of Kathrn Lee Scott's characters, Angelique, Barnabas, Julia Hoffman.....too many to list
Use to rush home from grade school everyday just to catch my daily dose of DARK SHADOWS
A lot of the surviving cast just did a Christmas Carol, and it was phenomenal. Look it up
Thanks for watching!
John F had a role he could really sink his teeth into🕸🕷🐲
Hehehe!
I loved this show. I liked all of the actors. This show and the Secret Storm soap opera was after school.
I just started watch the series and i am hooked love the actors. For those that passed may they rest in peace.
I just started watching this from the beginning on Tubi. I used to watch this in 7th grade. It came before homework and eating.🥰 I'm 63 now.
I loved Barnabas, and his 🧙♀️ witch lol
Need part two with Lara Parker, John Karlen and David Selby. Also, I don't see any reference to Julia Hoffman being called Julia Hollman. And for minor trivia, the fact that Nancy Barrett and David Ford were briefly married.
Who remembers Carrie and Hallie Stokes?
We do!
Watching the rerun segments
more impressed by the incredible
talent of Jonathan Frid.
More than when totally
enamored by him!
We're happy to know that you love the show. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. If we may ask, which episode did you like the best?
When Barnabas comes to Julia's
bedroom to kill her . He learns
that she wants to cure him.
This is the real beginning of
their relationship.
Also when Julia examines his
blood and sees destruction of
his cells. In medical terms is
a hemolytic anemia but person
is alive but does need blood
transfusions if a treatment
isn't working.
I became a Med Tech specializing
in blood disorders. My interest
may have begun here.
Angelique, Quenton, David are missing from your list. Big players in the story lines.
