Louis Edmonds was quite the quick-change artist, rapidly putting that 18th century coat over his contemporary ascot and sports jacket as he undoubtedly rushed from the Collinwood drawing room set to the Eagle Hill Cemetery set and then did his best Jacob Marley impression as the ghost of PT 1797 Joshua Collins.
I’m rewatching selected episodes right now. I had a massive crush on Jonathan Frid when I was a teenager, although I later realized that he was 30 years older than me, same as my father. He was a wonderful actor and a gentleman, and I am just sorry I didn’t get to see him play Jonathan (the brother who looked like Frankenstein’s monster) in “Arsenic and Old Lace” because I am sure he was great. Also love David Selby, who is almost as handsome now as he was 50+ years ago. And I had forgotten about how wonderful Jerry Lacy was at playing a pompous religious hypocrite.
Oooh! This part is so creepy! I'm getting shivers up and down my spine! When Quentin opened the doors to that room, and they both saw and heard Julia, it made me hope that Barnabas could get into that room! I wonder why Barnabas was so interested in Alexis/Angelique? I wonder. TFS! ~Janet in Canada
THAT PORTRAIT OF MAGGIE WAS CLOSE TO PERFECTION, IT ALMOST LOOKED LIKE A SNAPSHOT, AND CONCERNING THAT DOOR THAT LEADS TO PARALLEL TIME WHAT A THRILLING SUSPENSEFUL THEORY OF PARALLEL UNIVERSE BUT ACCORDING TO THEORY, TWO PEOPLE FROM IDENTICAL PARALLEL UNIVERSE CANNOT COEXIST WITHIN THE SAME TIME BECAUSE THEY CAN CANCEL EACH UNIVERSE OUT ACCORDING TO THEORY OF PARALLEL UNIVERSES !!!
I was a faithful Dark Shadows viewer for years. But when the show went with parallel time stuff I stopped watching the show because I thought ridiculous. Personally I wish they would have had a return of Adam with him on a revenge crusade.
let Me rephrase what I said earlier the character Quentin seemed to have said that He thought Voodooism came from the god Baal if I heard correctly but You can draw Your Own conclusions in one of the episodes
Wow. Even P.T. Willie gets nervous and on edge just like real time Willie. 60 years old for P.T. Barnabas to pass away? Too young. Interesting none the less.
Both Barnabas & Quentin witnessed the mystery East Wing room where Dr. Julia Hoffman always keeps standing there anxiously waiting for Barnabas's return. Barnabas hopes to go to that room & return back to normal life & time again.
@@kensellers4082 Quentin's clothes were typical of the 70s. I think he would look better in the suits and casual wear of the 80s onwards. It still does not detract from his good looks. I would have liked them having him without sideburns for PT.
@@emilyannfrancesmay3919 Unfortunately, long sideburns were de rigueur for men during that God-awful decade of the 1970s; you’d see professional athletes from all sports wearing them, Steve McGarrett wearing them on “Hawaii 5-0,” and even the venerable Billy Graham with the Elvis Presley ‘burns. Ugh! And, Quentin’s wardrobe looks exactly like those clothes featured in the Back-to-Campus men’s fashion layouts in “Playboy Magazine,” featuring incredibly over-priced (even back then) and unbelievably tawdry suits and sports clothes. I mean, would you really want to dress just like Hugh Hefner, when he was hosting “Playboy After Dark” on tv with his then-main squeeze, Barbi Benton? I think Roger Collins had the best taste in clothes of all the male characters on DS. You wouldn’t’ catch Roger in one of those ugly-@SS leisure suits that both Quentin and that feckless fop, Dameon Edwards, wore on the show.

He was also terrific.
Cool! I like this weird story, so far! ~Janet in Canada
Yes😊
Gotta love Julia ❤️ RIP Grayson Hall 🕊️🕊️🙏🙏
This show is the BOMB! Jonathan Frid is the boss! Love the actor who plays Quentin, too - he always looks so angry, lol!
I Miss This Show It was so Cool 😎
Yes it Was
I wish in the graveyard the ghost of Barnabas Collins would of came, but Quentin was acting like a stubborn child when it came to Maggie
I like the scenes with Jonathan and Lara exciting
Well if it isn’t Richard Channing! Lol David Selby is awesome
He was great on Falcon Crest. Excellent actor.
Dark Shadows had the best music
I love the trumpet fugue
I just discovered that Lara Parker died last week. RIP.

Angelic was my favorite ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Did Angelique ever love Quentin in PT?
She didn’t….. she only thought she did because Quentin was the one man she couldn’t control and as we know about women, they love a challenge
She loved how he was master of Collinwood.
She liked his money, but NOT his “winning” personality or his “great” taste in men’s clothes.

Dark Shadows showed practices that do happen in real life
😂or that the god Baal may have practiced Voodoo it is hard to say
It is hard to say for sure whatall the god Baal practiced if He for sure practiced Voodooism
or Dark Shadows shows practices that did happen in real life
Can't believe Quentin paid a French painter to make that awful portrait of Maggie. She is so much prettier than in that portrait.
🤣
With the same frame from the portrait of Angelique in Regular Time.
@@richardgarcia618 very observant. I did not notice that at all.
