Our old middle school has these and the remote strobe version of it. A lot of them were replaced with Wheelock MTs over Christmas break in 2006. These were on continuous and the MTs are on code 3. They sound pretty cool together
My day program building has a notifier system that has the system sensor specter alert advance horns and it's loud and high pitched sound witch anoies me as a person who has autism they should have done a voice evacuation system.
The panel probably has synchronization enabled. the MASS alarms don’t have sync capabilities, so it results in the horns skipping when the strobes flash.
When you said “what the hell is that” that’s a statitrol smoke detector, also this is possibly the calmest but loudest electronic horn system
I think he might’ve been referring to the hole in the ceiling
@@siphonralarms9411 I’m pretty sure he was referring to the smoke detector
I think I was talking about the smoke. It’s a simplex smoke. Could be rebranded tho
@@FourtyFiftyEighty rebranded statitrol then
@@FourtyFiftyEighty yeah now I see what you were talking about. That’s a rare sight for sure!

Pretty cool how they skip like a 7002T
Is one of the horns skipping like a 7002T or is it just me?
They are on wheelock sync for some reason, and if you listen to a wheelock sync module, you can tell that this is what they are doing.
Very cool and rare!
Beth el congregation has those I remember them going off for fire drills in Sunday school they were not very loud tbh
I Love the Mass ADA.
Nice! It’s rare!
My local hobby lobby has the same fire alarms shown in this video
I've seen a few in different places, a golf course, a Dave and Buster's in Illinois, and at my brother's university
@@johndeerefan725 some hotels, a museum and other buildings in my area has these too (google maps finds)

What candela are the strobes? They seem bright.
Possibly 75 or 110CD
where there any simplex horns on the 4208 system
All were replaced with mass in the early 2000s
@@FourtyFiftyEighty dang well these alarms are better then the newer system sensor alarms
Ryan to middle schools have duties on code 3
i find it odd that the mass series doesn't have a code 3 tone
The mass can be coded to code 3 by the panel
Cheese
Why does it have that skip beat

It sounds like Wheelock sync to me.
@@aerhardtI agree.
