I love mechanical horns on continuous. I personally think they sound better like that. The 9806's sound super healthy too! (With the exception of a few) Nice video!
@@jaybird2000 Yeah. There's also the way that it can do code 3 is using the Wheelock Sync Module that can make the Wheelock AS Verdical ones can also do code 3 along with the Wheelock Sync Module. I know it still does continuous, but with a wheelock sync module can do that with the Verdical Strobe Wheelock AS do code 3.
@AdamsFascinatedFireAlarms I know that as well. I was just talking about the Devices if they weren't Coded. I've also seen Wheelock AS Verdical Strobes be coded on slow March time like in this video here.
This system reminds me of a prison I used to work at. Multiple buildings with stand-alone systems that were all ostensibly Simplex systems (except for two dorms, one was System Sensor and the other Edwards) but they were very old and not terribly well maintained systems that had devices cannibalized from other systems to keep them going. The panel might have said Simplex but the "noisy-flashy thingy" or the pull might have said Simplex, or Edwards, or Correctional Industries...it worked when we needed it to, that's what mattered.
Oooh, very late production model 4251-20 pulls. Even when Simplex introduced the "new" 2099 pulls in 1991, the 4251 T-bar pulls continued being installed as late as 1993, to clear out old stock.
I’m unsure. It’s a red IBM bell from when the building was built. It could be one of the original fire alarm devices but there’s also evidence of 4037s around the place

5:07 what it sounds like when your smoke alarm is dying at 3 AM.
11:14 Gonna love Wheelock AS older version doing continuous. My school have Wheelock AS's with continuous that sounded during fire drills.
The Verdical Strobe AS Does Continuous only. The AS with the Horizontal Strobe on top Can do Code 3 or Continuous

I love the 9127s when there's multiple in the hall they sound so scratchy and loud lol
All the '9806s that I heard, are working good. Just sounds like one of them is too tight.
I love hearing mixtures of fire alarms

interesting system. Nice the battery standing up sideways with terminals facing towards the METAL side of the panel box
Why Are The Wheelock AS Horn Strobes And The Simplex Truealert Horn Strobes Skipping Like That
And the P2R’s
The code 3 on the true alerts sounded like they were lagging
@@jimmysullivan6054 They were fine in full alarm
What an interesting mix!!
I always liked hearing the mixture!
Why did the piezo in the annunciator and I'm guessing the panel as well make that long beep after each device was set off in walk test mode?
That’s just how 4002s work
TrueAlert Hiccups.
TrueAlerts will always be my favorite.
I've had them in high school and my college has them in a few buildings
@@anonymous-s5y3 High school and Elementary had them and code 3. Best coding for a TrueAlert in my opinion.
@chiefac594 I always love Simplex TrueAlerts too!
Always my favorite fire alarm too!
Wow that's quite the mix!
As if these weren't noisy enough, my schools in the southeast also had a warble over the PA system, which really made me dread drills...
Yea I know what you are talking about. My school pretty much has the same thing as you but instead they play a siren sound over the PA system.
What’s with the truealerts code 3 lag?
I love the true alert shriek 0:56
Also the weird truealerts 1:08 they’re funnier than the advance dying
@1:40 Sick truealert
@5:07 Sick Wheelock AS
@5:35 Dying horn (maybe replace the horn with an AH)
5:35 it is just the way wheelock horn strobes work they take 0.5 seconds to start making noise
@@tronicsterspeaker9946I was not talking about the AS. I was talking about the mechanical horn.
12:14 - 12:18 at the left is that a bell? if it is, do you know what its used for?
Also when where the advances added?
I’m unsure. It’s a red IBM bell from when the building was built. It could be one of the original fire alarm devices but there’s also evidence of 4037s around the place
What’s with ur school district and these 4903 combos
I love this mixture 🤪
Yup, love the mix of old and new!
This system should be upgraded to a 4007ES
Fire alarm symphony!
4:07 What a Fire Alarm Fail
5:37 XD
Here in Canada, that would be illegal!
Why?
Can’t have mixed signals in Canada
@@CosmeReese-f2l I don't know I got that from Nics Systems and Electric. If you know him.
That cage over those alarms in the gym are… questionable, to say the least.
That's to prevent them from getting damaged by any gym equipment like basketballs
@ ik, but it’s just the way they’re designed. Not only does it look ridiculous, but someone could probably still hit it from the side.
Simplex rules!
one word ✨ChAoS ✨
Obligatory "ewwwwww SpectrAlert Advances!" post.
This video is proof that Simplex is complete garbage
