James Douglas Morrison was born On December 8, 1943, Morrison was an obedient and brilliant youngster in his early years who excelled in school and showed a special interest in reading, writing, and drawing.
As an adolescent, Morrison started to rebel against his father's stringent rules, learning about alcohol and women while becoming increasingly resistant to authoritative figures.
Morrison formed the band the Doors in 1965 with drummer John Densmore, guitarist Robbie Krieger, and classical pianist Ray Manzarek.
On July 3, 1971, Pamela Courson (jim morrison's girlfriend) discovered Morrison dead in their apartment's bathtub.
It appears that he had had a heart attack.
Sam Bernett claimed that Morrison had overdosed on heroin inside his establishment and had been transported back to his flat and dumped in the bathtub to conceal the true cause of death.
