    Mate, when benchmarking don't do CS:GO if you are using an overkill CPU because CS:GO is not so GPU demanding it more relies on the CPU. Nice video though

    The gt 1030 is great. The RX 460 is better, but it requires a decent PSU, so when you recommend someone a $100 rx 460 GPU they end up spending $135 including a PSU, and when you recommend a 1050 ti they spend $165. This is a true budget GPU, and any ignorant person will recommend a used $70 GPU which requires a better PSU and no guarantee that the GPU will work, nor an extended warrantee in the case that it fails after months of use. This is the type of card above the previous GTs that can actually play every game out there at reasonable frame rates without the need to upgrade your PSU. This is the ideal card for a $200 pc build that anyone can buy!!

    • @ZachsTechTurf
      @ZachsTechTurf  7 років тому +8

      Good summary. If you have $70 to spend and ONLY $70 to spend, then a GT 1030 is a pretty safe bet.

      The RX 460 has a total power draw of 75W, and reference boards don't have a 6 pin connecter. You can easily install an RX 460 on 300W PSU. Also a decent power supply, doesn't cost 150 bucks, a 400W EVGA unit is like 20 bucks...

  • @terravida333
    @terravida333 7 років тому +1

    Since the card does not have other 6 or 8 pin connector, it can pull up to 75 Watt from the MOBO. A basic HP or Lenovo endpoint computer with an i3. The 300W supply is still recommended since the other components can peak the supply.
    If this thing could have 3 or 4 gigs of ram it could be the most monstrous 80-90 $ card.

    Thanks this review was the exact model and branded card I was checking and your mother board is the same cpu socket and pci slot version as mine so now I know exactly how it will perform and it is compatible with my fairly old setup, I'm only using it for htpc and wanted the dual hdmi/display port out to run on two separate screens in separate rooms, one for movies one for normal pc use.

    It's also the only version of the card that I found is 0.7 inch thick, well within the 1 inch range between the PCIe and PSU on my PC. Yes there are 1.5 inch and 0.7 inch cards out there, that should be a category.

    well,in my country a gt 730 is 99$ and 1030 is 119$.I want to get a temporary graphics card which should last me until the end of year when i get my new pc.Should i just get the 730 or get the 1030? I have a really tight budget

      GT 1030 man, you can play in 1080p 30FPS. Lower the resolution and you get 40-60 or more. It's the best deal at its price, new.

  • @everydaytech6854

    I don’t know how you got those benchmarks but this graphics card can can easily play bf1 on high settings at 50fps, Witcher 3 on med at 35 FPS and more. The Witcher 3 is a very demanding game so try to redo the benchmarks with a better cpu bc I don’t consider them valid, you have major cpu bottle neck then bc I personally own the card and this card kicks butt being able to get play everything med-high settings without a problem including demanding games. Again this card performs very similar to gtx 750 ti and is still can game in 2017 (or 2018.)

      I used Mirillis Action for this video. Usually with higher end Nvidia cards I'll use Nvidia share and for AMD cards I use Crimson ReLive. But for lower end cards like this I always use Action.

      I would personally search on UA-cam for someone with your specific settings, I'm sure there's someone out there! But for a rough ballpark, for CPU intensive games like GTA 5 it'll be a a bit behind, but for GPU intensive titles like Doom you'll barely notice a difference!
