    This system is CPU limited for sure but this gpu has to be the best for slim builds

      Chris Ngan Yep, the CPU and the low memory, have an Athlon 860K at 4.5GHz with 2x8GB ddr3 at @2400, and got another day that GT 1030, in all the games i take two or three times more frames per second, in some games almost four times more, like CSGO, they got 70 FPS, here with GT 1030 the average is around 200 FPS...

    • @chrisngan5032
      @chrisngan5032 7 років тому

      Antonio Amaral ok ty I have a slim build pc that I want to put this in and that's really helpful info ty. This is probs the best low profile for slim builds gpu but the only thing is if u don't have a slim build pc there is no real point when a 1050 costs like 30$ more and outperforms it soo much

      zeb89 lol yes it is I had an a10 7850k (RX 560, not the igpu) and I got 20 fps in Battlefield 1 multiplayer. upgraded to an i3 6100 and now never goes below 55 fps.

    Ultimate budget build right now. Find a Optiplex 990 with I5-2400 and 4 to 8 gigs of ram from $80-150 and then put this GT 1030 in it. awesome 1080P gaming system for around $200. :)

      The power supply in the Optiplex may not run a 750 ti. that is main reason why you should go with the gt 1030

      in my opinion,u better go with g4560,its much better(even thought its pentium,its basically i3 since got hypertreading).choose whatever mobo u want(buy same socket okay).add 4 gb ram(if can 8gb ram) and a psu like 300 watt(dont buy cheap psu,probably blown ur pc,buy from cooler master or whatever brand that google said its good).put gt 1030 and a ssd(if u rich) or hdd(whatever size gb).there u go.a perfect very low budget game that can run a lot of game on 720 p,high setting - max setting or even better.

    I'm getting this card (hopefully) soon, my specs are :
    CPU: Core-i3-2120 3.30 GHZ
    GPU:GT 1030 - GDDR5 2 GB, my current GPU is a RADEON HD - 6450 1 GB ( Not sure about the Video Memory type, but that Doesn't matter seeing as i'm getting this version very soon.
    RAM: 4 GB DDR3
    PSU: 225 watt
    HDD/SSD: 40 GB SSD ( for OS), 500 GB HDD ( for games)
    not the best but seeing how these games perform it honestly Doesn't worry me anymore, :).

    I'm just put together a Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF i5 3470 Quad Core 3.2ghz 16gb RAM. Had a GT 710 (piss poor GPU) in it at first...Using Fortnite as a benchmark it was very blocky but still playable on low setting. Switched to the GT 1030 and it was like night and day. Can Fortnite on High with no problems now. Don't know the exact FPS but it plays nice, no lag or nothing. I recommend this card for its price and power. Not the best BUT I think it's one of the best for SFF towers for entry leasure gaming.

    pretty nice vid. I can't believe that most of the games actually run quite decent at 1080p, I mean my main concern was with the 2 gb ddr2 ram, how's this possible, and u told the same pc is recording so even after less that pressure how could a 2 gb ddr2 handle both recording and gaming pressure? looks like that 1030 carried whole system

    I think that I already know the answer to this question, but just to confirm: I see that most of the results you put on the video were from the 1080p+Low Res setting. I'm assuming that you actually tried 720p+Medium Res setting but you got lower FPS there. Am I right?

    • @ZachsTechTurf
      @ZachsTechTurf  7 років тому +1

      It depends on how intensive "medium" is which is different in every game. For me personally, I do everything I can in the settings to game at 1080p and NOT 720p, but I know that some of you guys prefer to stay in 720p. The settings that I listed are what I would game at, but that's not for everyone.

      sure,poor means having little money or few possessions while budget means having the best you can with cheap expenses..don't get me wrong i might sounded like a little rude but it kinda pissed me off because you didn't really used the best option for this card i'm getting way more FPS with this card than you showed in this video.

      He probably put those settings mostly on low becouse of the recording, and becouse of that he also has to do the no recording test in the same settings to show us the real fps gaming performance. Im pretty sure that gt 1030 can handle most games at least on medium maybe 1 or 2 things on high, at least games that are not to heavy like BF1.

      why bother buy SSD bro?sure it help u load file/game/software faster but i think u should go for HDD for bigger storage.People mostly put their OS on SSD and software,file and game on HDD since it will help os boot faster,other than that.there is not much difference.if u are in budget better go HDD instead SSD.

    just what i was looking gor great video bro. i have an i3(4th gen)@3.4ghz (290 stock psu) 4gb ram dell optiplex 3020 mt. so should i go with this or a used 750 ti. I'm getting both for the same price each. so which one u think.is more of my cpu compatible. thanks. i already posted something like this from my other account peace

    • @ZachsTechTurf
      @ZachsTechTurf  7 років тому +1

      The 750TI definitely out performs the 1030. I would only get the 1030 if you value a warranty, guarantee that it works, etc. If you're comfortable buying used I would personally get the 750TI.

    • @emxemazim8646
      @emxemazim8646 7 років тому

      yeah i totally get u man. but the thing is i am new to pc gaming. unlike smartphones idk much about the market. did some research and 750ti
      fits the budget plus my gaming. now the thing is where I'm buying from a local shop in my area the guy says I'll install it. and play some games to show you. but after that there is no warranty. as it is used. now what i wanna know is. unlike smartphones which rarely die or have some hardware problem obv used ones. here idk about tge gpus. like do they have some lifetime ? or like do they die easily. i hope you're getting what I'm saying. please reply. thanks. :)

    • @ZachsTechTurf
      @ZachsTechTurf  7 років тому +1

      There's always gonna be a risk when buying used. You never know what the previous user was doing with their graphics card. They could have been bitcoin mining for months and the GPU is on it's last leg, or it could have been in a grandma's computer that never gamed, you just never know. If you're worried about it, I would buy new. And if you can wait, then I would save a few more bucks and get something like the GTX 1050TI or RX 560 new.

    • @emxemazim8646
      @emxemazim8646 7 років тому

      thanks alot bro. i think I'll get the gt 1030 new. but wouldn't it need more power supply. plus it needs a custom or a better motherboard right ? at least that's what I heard.

    • @ignasanchezl
      @ignasanchezl 7 років тому

      Having a PCIe x16 slot inside your motherboard and enough physical space is all it takes. With a 300W real power supply will be enough.
