What is the difference between the GT 710 2g3d and the GT 710 2g3dh. The one without the H has a fan but other than that, is there any differences with specs between the two?
It matters. For this dell optiplex 3010 dt computer, you can only install a low profile graphics card. For example, this optiplex 3010 cannot run an rx580 or any other graphics card that requires a pcie power connection. One thing to keep in mind is the power supply in the computer. Most graphics cards will tell you the recommended power supply needed so the computer can run it. This computer only has a 265 watt power supply so graphics card choices are limited
The graphics card has dvi, hdmi, and vga. The pc you see in the video is an optiplex 3010 DT. It has an hdmi port and a vga port on its own without the graphics card. I hope this helps

Fun and easy to work on with that particular 3010 sff; maybe. My 3010 sff doesn't have such a simple heatsink. It has the ''gargantutron'' 5000 & a '1/2 x 3/4' in it and that's bolted into the case. Then, I went ugly with it and removed a huge bolt that apparently does nothing but keep you from installing a real graphics card and ran a Thermaltake 600w smart series psu to the motherboard and just leave the panel off with the Thermaltake outside the case and the old 240w psu inside it, so it thinks it's ok to run that way. lol XD

You will need more power. Double Check the manual for your graphics card. I’m pretty sure you still need a more powerful power supply. If the recommended wattage is 400 watts the gap is too big with a 220 watt power supply
@@whattmeter Okay. Just canceled my amazon order. Thanks for saving me a bum. Appreciat it. I think I'll need a 1030 with max 30w consumption. That should be safe with my 220w psu. System: Dell Vostro 270s.
yes, based on the requirements for gta 5 and valorant, you should be able to run it. valorant looks like it needs 1gb vram and gta 5 needs 2gb. Although it also depends on the computer, I would make sure you have at least an i5 Intel Core i5 3470 (which is required to run gta V) and 16gb of ram.
Good question! The computer I installed it on in the video was an i5 3470 @3.2ghz with 8 gb of ram. I even tested it with 16gb of ram. it should work. I installed it in a dell optiplex with a 250 watt power supply

I have the same problem, my monitor uses VGA. I'm planning to just buy another low profile bracket that fits VGA and keep the VGA connector. If your monitor uses HDMI then it should be fine.
Use the 2nd low profile bracket for vga. So one bracket is vga, the 2nd bracket right next to it will be the hdmi/dvi. I checked and it works. Unless is you computer a low profile?

Do we need additional power budget? I have a 220w psu, can it handle GT 740 ddr3 4GB?
What brand? It looks like at least 400watts is recommended for GT740 4GB Here's an example www.evga.com/Products/Specs/GPU.aspx?pn=27F9D41D-9D37-4657-B593-69615D738350#:~:text=Requirements,on%20the%20%2B12%20volt%20rail.
@@whattmeter Will I be fine using 220w? i3-3240 and SSD 256GB with 4+2GB DDR3 ram
System: Dell Vostro 270s.
why is your fan spinning :< mine isnt spinning :< can you teach me how? , i have gt 730

Can you run gta 5, rainbow and valorant with this graphics card?
yes, based on the requirements for gta 5 and valorant, you should be able to run it. valorant looks like it needs 1gb vram and gta 5 needs 2gb. Although it also depends on the computer, I would make sure you have at least an i5 Intel Core i5 3470 (which is required to run gta V) and 16gb of ram.
short answer, maybe
long answer, yes but it probably won't look pretty
get a second hand graphics card instead.
Can an i5 3470 cpu 8gb ram can run smoothly with this ?
Good question! The computer I installed it on in the video was an i5 3470 @3.2ghz with 8 gb of ram. I even tested it with 16gb of ram. it should work. I installed it in a dell optiplex with a 250 watt power supply
It depends are you trying to run a specific game or program? That will affect how smooth performance is.
jasetutorials alright thanks yes I’m trying to run GTA and all those other games I also have an optiplex 3010
I saw that in terms of graphics card specs minimum requirements for gta V is gtx 660. Is gta V available on steam?
jasetutorials yes it’s available on steam I will be able to run it if I Change up the settings and stuff and I’m good right ?
when you put it in was the gpu the defult gpu of the dell optiplex 3010?
I had to change where the monitor was plugged in. First it was on the motherboard then once I plugged in gpu and it was recognized I plugged in the monitor to the gpu itself
I am having a same Cabinet i am confused does it will fit in my cabinet Thankyou so much for This video but I have a question does the cabinet panel get closed of not??
yes! it should close. Although, what form factor is you computer? it won't fit the micro or small form factor for sure. Only the MT or DT models
@@whattmeter same as you shown in video its a dell inspiron 620s
What if you don’t have a DVI to connect to your pc?
I have the same problem, my monitor uses VGA. I'm planning to just buy another low profile bracket that fits VGA and keep the VGA connector. If your monitor uses HDMI then it should be fine.
Ya same
How can i install the other bracket? With vga and not hdmi? Seems i gor no space for doing it
Use the 2nd low profile bracket for vga. So one bracket is vga, the 2nd bracket right next to it will be the hdmi/dvi. I checked and it works. Unless is you computer a low profile?
@@whattmeter Oh, thanks haha. yes my pc is an optiplex 3020 sff
Grafics card is use from vga cable I have no hdmi cable please say it's run or not
It runs. Someone in comments mentioned you can connect vga on the slot beside it. I tested it it works
what about dell optiplex 3020 bro
my specs i3 4150
gpu 4400
8gb ram
Yeah it will
I did it with a slightly better gpu (Gt 1030) and in a dell optiplex 3010
Bro whichever graphic card can be install in anyway motherboard??
Is it advisable for 4K tv? Planning to use my spare PC as movie player via hdmi.
Not really. It’s just a budget card. It will work but not the best. Is your spare pc using more modern specs?
@@whattmeter It's just rocking a pentium g4400 and ddr4 4gb ram😅 does it atleast support 1080p display configuration?
Yes it does support 1080p configuration.
@@whattmeter thanks for replying. useful video btw!
I'm having this graphics card with i3 3rd gen processor, and I'm planning to buy a 4k monitor. Will it work? I'm just a casual user no games no heavy tasks just for office use. Please reply!
Yes it will work. Make sure you have a slot for the graphics card. As well as a power supply at least 300 watts
@@whattmeter uh, a slot for graphics card? i alr have this card and i want to buy a 4k monitor
GT 710 I wouldn't recommend for 4K. More like 1080p is the best it can do. 4K wouldn't run so good on this card in my personal opinion.
@@whattmeter oh
Even 2k it can't handle?
@@floki3817 Technically it can if you look at the spec sheet. But the herts is only 24Hz at 4K if you connect by HDMI. I think the hertz is too low for gaming. us.msi.com/Graphics-Card/GT-710-2GD3H-LP/Specification
This card works quite well in optiplex 790 towers
I had a problem with trying to fit a HDMI cord into it if you look at 5:07 you can probably see what I'm talking about its blocked by that handle piece there 💀
Oh really? What type of pc case are you using? Low profile or a regular case
Is the graphics card fully inserted on the slot?
