I bought an RX580 2048sp for my media PC from Aliexpress for £41.42 (around $50.24USD). It had a couple of issue. One was that it only has a single HDMI as a display out. The other is that the fans were set to run at 100% all of the time. Even the AMD Adrenaline software would not let me drop them below 50%, in the end I had to use MSI Afterburner to control the fans and now the card is near silent when idle with no noticeable difference in the temps.

It's gone up in price to £51.57. It's still working fine in my media PC. I've had to install NimeZ (R.ID) drivers to keep it up to date since official support has ended but there's been no issue there either.
The 580 has been and will always be my favorite GPU, had one before upgrading to an 6600, absolute beast. It's a shame to see official driver support for it being dropped, but then again, it's a 7 year old GPU. Godspeed, 580, godspeed.
@@nonaurbizniz7440 Doesn't make much sense, RX580 has had new stock even recently, and the amount of people who'd spend above the price of a 580 on a system is too low to make up for the alternative. I think the issue is just that it is old tech. It won't take long for modern games to make it obsolete or require of it something it doesn't have, and on top of that, it doesn't need recent drivers to play the old games that doesn't require such criteria.
I picked up a different off brand 580 middle of last year and it has performed great. I used it to update a 12 year old dell i7 3rd gen and it runs older titles great.Great video thanks
At the time this card was released they didn't have much other GPUs to sell. Also the competing GTX 1060 out sold it and was the most used GPU on steam years ago. AMD sell far less than Nvidia it's not even close.
I literally have the same GPU! Same box, same SP, same model and color scheme. Since it had a different brand name, I didn't even realize until I clicked the video. Mine is Aisurix, everything is the same! the box design, the texts on it. Pretty wild
i had the real version of this card an msi armor rx580 4gb and my performance was terrible even with a better cpu my friends would have better fps with any older nvidia card
Just installed a new Ardiyes RX 580 in an old HP Elitedesk 800 G1 small form factor that I also upgraded with a i7-4790K processor. Had to permanently remove the USB cable to the front USB connections, Remove the SATA 1 connector on the Mobo serving the Harddrive and use the SATA 2 connector for the Harddrive. My only USB's are the 4 on the back panel, no biggie and I can always expand those. Running the latest version of drivers/AMD Adrenalin software smoothly.
UA-cam’s algorithm is trash, you guys are a tech channel with 500K subs and I never knew you existed prior to a couple days ago. Cool stuff, sub’d, my opinion on this card is the person buying this is probably a noob who cares more about what it looks like than it’s performance, probably a future Yeston customer 😂
I picked this up and will see how well it works. Will replace my original Fury X that has a bad coil whine. I am a little disappointed in the build quality, but for $89 I guess it's OK. The aluminum heatsink is very rough and powdercoated for some reason. The product claims to nave an actually functioning heat sinking back plate but the plate is 3.5mm from the PCB and there are no pads or anything else making contact. The VRM chips also have absolutely no contact for heat sinking. I'm going to throw some pads on this thing before installing.
You said it runs a bit hotter, but what about the noise and fans speed??? There's always a correlation! I.e. the version of the 2048SP I bought may maybe run "cooler" than another one, but it has its fans at 100% fixed with no way to reduce them, so it's not more desirable as such.
The one I have behaved like that and even trying to alter the fans in the AMD software wouldn't let me turn them down below 50%. In the end I had to install MSI Afterburner and use it to control the fans. Now it's near silent when idle with no noticeable difference in the temps.

Used industrial silicone. Used thinkstation p520 with a 6 core 3.6mjz processor (xeon 2235 I think) and at least 4 sticks of ram. ($360) This will handle new GPUs for a decade with minimal upgrades. Staying about 3 generations behind the commercial grade GPU, like the A2000. 6gb is around $300 new and 12gb about $600. Much less used. The commercial silicon is "premium" as some would call it. More effecient, more reliable, more supported. These guys did a pair of videos on the used Thinkstation P520.
I have the RX 580 Black from XFX, its definitely got more punch than the 2048, and will easily crank out 50-60fps in cyberpunk on high with balanced FSR.
I never use my graphics card for gaming,I game through it using a capture card.I mostly use it to record and stream through obs studio nvenc to record in 4k or 1440p , so my gpu is never stressed or hot 🥵 computer stays relatively cool 😎 the whole time ,I also keep my computer 🖥️ out of direct sunlight or natural light because it helps keep p the dust factor down. And I don’t have it placed in a way where the airways are blocked,I have it elevated in the air on the side of my desk on two hooks 🪝 that suspends it key things you could do to prevent damage from overheating components 😊😮

my windforce gtx970 is amazing still. need to upgrade for some newer games but plays cs2 and everything before then great. weirdly runs smoother on ultra settings than on high or lower.
I have this very one with an AMD FX 6300 CPU. Both are overcloked, nothing over heats, no water cooling, runs great. Plays star wars Jedi fallen order at 60 fps 1080 on ultra settings so it can definitely handle some stress Overclock your GPU with radeon auto settings Overclock your CPU with your built in BIOS And you have at 60fps any game pretty much, only thing is to mess with some of the game settings and you'll be okay
saying 71 degrees isn't great meanwhile my shitty hp hexa core with r5 graphics idles at at least 80+ and sits at 100% Usage when using any program even ms word and sits at 95-100 degrees pretty much the whole time on cpu&gpu, its been going strong for at least 6+ months like that and is working fine still.
I resell lol. I spend a lot of time finding deals online. It was an okay deal, but I've seen far better ones. About 4 days ago I seen a whole tower sell for $334. AMD just removed Vulkan support for Polaris in Linux. How soon before AMD completely stops making new drivers for all of these RX 4xx and 5xx cards. They might not be the best buy for most people in 2023.

Its not though. It's its own real sku for the asian market. Just look at any benchmarks comparing the three. The 8gb 2048sp performs in between the 570 and full 580. 570 is 3 pin vs the 2048sp is 4pin. If you oc it you can get close to a stock full 580 in performance. That's not happening with the 570. They are not the same

This ended up being a fail for me. I built a PC around the following parts for under $580. 1. CPU: Ryzen 5 5500 2. GPU: Ardiyes RX 580 2048SP 3. MB: Gigabyte B450 WiFi (mATX) 4. RAM: Silicon Power 32GB DDR4 3200MHz Blue 5. SSD: TeamGroup 1TB NVMe w/DRAM 6. PSU: Redragon 650w Gold (Modular) White 7. Case: Zalman Iceberg White 8. CPU Fan: Thermalright PA 120 SE White I've tried the Windows drivers, Adrenaline, and Pro to no avail. It randomly crashes with checkered artifacts and repeatedly often times rebooting without notice. I returned the original and replacement cards and am trying my luck with the Maxsun version of this also in White but not sure about Fan RGB.
71 degrees Celsius is nothing to worry about for a graphics card. Seriously.

u can flash a normal bios to get more performance and better default fan curve, but only can flash rx 570 bios
I own a Rx 480 4gb I've had since new and it only comes with 1 HDMI port and 3 display ports. I'm running two monitors, one HDMI and one display port.

One of the reasons for the driver support ending is because its so popular which hurts sales for new amd cards.

@@voteDCmy 6600’s fans run at 100% with minimal load. I have to manually set the curve in Adrenaline, and Afterburner doesn’t detect the card.

Nah, Polaris' plug will be plugged soon. I'd go for a RX 5500 XT instead if I'd be looking a budget card.

Meh, not worth it at all. There are other cheaper models with the same performance. You can also just get a real RX 580 8GB.

71 celsius is completely average for the rx 580 2048sp. depends on games too. i run it around 65 on rocket league and 73 on elden ring

Overclock your CPU with your built in BIOS
And you have at 60fps any game pretty much, only thing is to mess with some of the game settings and you'll be okay

8. CPU Fan: Thermalright PA 120 SE White
I've tried the Windows drivers, Adrenaline, and Pro to no avail. It randomly crashes with checkered artifacts and repeatedly often times rebooting without notice. I returned the original and replacement cards and am trying my luck with the Maxsun version of this also in White but not sure about Fan RGB.
AMD is dropping support for Polaris, so this will be a dead end.
