I love mustard yellow! I love using milk paint and have done many pieces with it. I’m a fan of chippy paint for me as I live in a beach cottage and it fits the vibe. Glad you saved that piece as it beautiful! Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday Christina! I have used milk paint before. Back in the 90’s. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread! I kept the paint for years until I had to move, but I got several uses from it.

I have never tried it but I love how it looks on that piece. Plus, the fact it's environmentally friendly has me sold on it. I'm surprised but I really love that color. Yellow/gold colors can be tricky.

Milk paint with all the tender delicate innards and finish is a good choice. I have never used it but have seen antiques done with it,living near Philadelphia and historic places. Happy birthday. You couldn't have a nicer birthday twin than our Canadian Friend.

OBSESSED with your color choice for this, I've always been a fan of mustarf especially for fall. I love milk paint for its chippy finish as well but haven't tried the real paint company brand. After seeing the mustard China cabinet you and Kacha did I couldn't resist. Im not a yellow fan but its still my favorite piece. This makes me wanna try milk paint. If I can get the darkness of the natural wood plus hight light of the yellow without dry brushing so much. Just might have to take my big girl pill and go for it. Its just paint right. I tried the powder variety many years ago. I wasn’t so into finishes back then, and I just wasn’t sure about how think it was. I’m a bit embarrassed to say I haven’t really tried it again! Not usually a fan of mustard on furniture but you are so right about it complimenting the wood tones inside the cabinet! Really good choice. Not tried milk paint before, was always worried about it adhering cause I’m not one to distress furniture, but I guess the extra bond is the cure for that? I’ll have to try it out!
