That sanitary napkin idea was perfect! I have 3 giant boxes of them in the closet that are the wrong kind, size and I can’t throw them out. But this gives me great ideas what I can do with them! Awesome ideas!
@@helenholdsworth6407 I'm guessing the gloves scenario is to avoid having to throw away ones that didn't get dirty?? But after having been in dentistry for 30 yrs and wearing tens of thousands of pairs of gloves, the only real trick to putting them on is to have totally dry hands. Any moisture makes it a nightmare.
My favourite hack to keep my very large Antique Kilim style rugs clean and smelling fresh. l put lavender mop liquid into my bucket. Then l sweep briskly in sections changing the water as soon as it looks grey l change the water several times, but that just shows how clean the rug is every time l do this. . My beautiful old large rugs look very clean, and smell of lavender. l wish ld thought to do this years ago !
I bought a gorgeous leather and fur jacket for a fraction of the retail. The seller said the zipper doesn’t work, it gets stuck half way up. I got it home and sprayed WD-40 on a cotton ball and rubbed it up and down the zipper. It works perfectly.
#2 again: I put on another pad with the sticky side out secured with couple rubber bands (or whatever). Plus spray with Endust or such on the first side. Helps even more.
Such useful ideas! The hair dryer holder is something I immediately made for myself. I truly enjoy watching these " hacks and ideas" videos. Thank you and regards from northern Europe.
Wow, these hacks are so creative and practical! I never thought of using a plastic tube and a clean sanitary napkin to make sweeping easier. Thanks for sharing these fantastic tips!
Some of these tips are quite clever especially heat shrinking the plastic bottle onto the broom handle to make a hanger and pouring hot water over the bristles to comb straight again; HOWEVER, one would have to be feeling super industrious to go to those lengths to straighten broom bristles OR have a serious case of OCD. LOL! Anyway, good demo, thanks! 👍😀
It’s ignorant at best to suggest to people to use even more disposable plastic. By 2050 there will be more plastic, by weight, then fish in our oceans. They’ve even found a single use plastic shopping bag recently at the bottom of the Mariana trench. About 98% of the plastic ever manufactured is still lying around in the environment, unrecycled. It’s all green washed, not recycled. Companies are t taking responsibility for it. It’s inorganic, so even when it breaks down, it’s still giving off forever chemicals like PFAS, hormone disrupters, phthalates, and it’s still there as nano particles snd microparicles…. And three fourths of it is in wild places both on land and at sea. Your disposable gloves look just like squid to ocean life and seafaring birds. It kills them and their babies. And about half the municipalities in the world don’t have a viable plan for waste disposal. When you think, in good faith, that you’re depositing plastic to be recycled in store depositories, you should know that a group of journalists recently attached over 40 trackers to it, snd some of it ended up as far away as Indonesia and Malaysia, in illegal dumps right next to rice paddies and fish cuitures, where people live. The businesses that offer you recycling don’t really know where it goes after it’s taken to its first destination. I researched it myself. They told me they don’t know. Please be more conscientious in your advice, and educate yourself.
Your concerns about plastic waste are valid and highlight significant environmental issues. It's crucial to be aware of the impact of disposable plastics on our planet. The points you raised about the persistence of plastic in the environment, its detrimental effects on wildlife, and the challenges in recycling are important reminders for us all to be more responsible and informed. Thank you for sharing your research and insights; it’s essential to keep this conversation going and work towards more sustainable solutions.
There's some good tips on here especially the one with the onions, i will be trying that. I have a couple of tips, one is if you are decorating and using a paste board, cover it with a plastic decorating sheet and it will keep your paste board clean, the other one is if you are putting a clean duvet cover on put the duvet inside the cover and put some pegs on the four corners and in the middle and the legs will hold it in place while you fasten the button and give it a good shake

@SusanTips For the first time someone has a video, (I know that there are a lot of good videos on YT with helpful ideas.) but your video really does have GOOD helpful hints. Ex. the wet combing of a much used broom with bristles that have gone astray. Is a good idea. I am sorry to say that I wish your idea was known to me earlier this year. Because I threw away a broom with bristles that look just like that. Thank you and keep the ideas coming. I will subscribe to your channel.
Thats not the way to take disposible gloves off. You should close fingers over the palm and turn first glove off inside out. Screw it up and place in the palm of the other hand and remove second glove inside out over it. This way no foreign or soiled matter escapes.
