Nah, the fall of Tobuscus didn’t start with the allegations. It ENDED with the allegations. Toby got caught up on creating books and mobile games and started to upload WAY less content. By the time the allegations were public, Toby had already lost most of his viewers.

Pewdiepie is a good example of this tbh, I’m not much a fan of his brand of humor but I know he changed a lot since back then. Back in UA-cam’s “golden age” pewdiepie was also known for screaming and overreacting constantly while doing let’s plays, but now him and his content has matured a lot and his humor has changed so he kept a lot of his older audience

Tbh it was going down before then. He was the first youtuber I had every subbed to and it was because of his Minecraft series. It’s sad to see what has happened to his channels and I continue to wish he somehow can come back and be relevant again.

I think it would have been relevant to the video to point out, that one of his exes actually somewhat defended him.You showed Jaclyn Glenn's video as if she accused him of sexual assault as well, but she actually described how her experience with him was the opposite. If she seemed like she wasn't a 100% into it, he would lose all interest in sex. She did however confirm the drug misuse and how he was a serial cheater. Still, I think it would have been good to mention that (as far as i'm aware) only the first allegation was about sexual assault, the others mostly described him as an asshole.

False accusations not only hurt those who are falsely accused, but also severely hurts the credibility of real accusations from real victims. You are officially the worst kind of person for making that stuff up.
And a rape allegation is extremely hard to prove when the people involved are partners or former partners. All they can do is just say it. Rape is surprisingly difficult to prove in this case because they can just claim it's consensual sex because all they can really test is if you had sex with them. He did nothing to prove his innocence. They nothing to prove he was guilty. I would look at him with suspicion but I'm not taking sides either way. I recommend you do the same.
These are just facts. When women happen to lie about rape. Do they even think about the tens of thousands of women who have actually gone through it? Is hurting one man, or anyone else, really that worth it? It's so sad, because after so many lies from so many different people, there could be so many women telling the truth, but people don't believe them. That's heartbreaking.

I cannot stress enough how much I've watched tobuscus. He was such a big part of my childhood I even got me and my mom to watch him with me so we've had so many inside jokes about him. It was very sad to see his downfall because I absolutely loved him as a child and it affected me because he was amazing. When the allegations came up I had no idea how to feel about him. And the first keemstar video I've seen was that of what you were talking about. I had no idea what to think about tobuscus anymore so I had no choice but to move on from him. I never had another UA-camr I watched as continuously as I did with him. I related to him with his fun personality and adhd because I literally have the same thing now

I stopped watching Toby waaay before these allegations even came up. I really just got bored with him and moved on. As I got older his content wasn’t as funny anymore. He was mainly for the 12 and under groups. It sucks to see Toby how he is.
@@geoffbannister8373 Eh, what's funny is subjective. I think he appealed to the younger crowd at the time (myself included) because his humor was at just the right level. It was generally loud and ridiculous yet simple; as an example, Nugget in a Biscuit was an entire song about a combination of basic foods. Would I find that appealing now? No, because as I grew up I began to value complexity more than the raw shock of his ridiculousness. Additionally, I turned away from basic physical subjects like food and diamond swords and became more interested in philosophical themes, dark humor, and otherwise more abstract and intricate content. I think that could be said for most people. I think one of the biggest problems with his content was that it was single-layered; there wasn't anything for the older audiences. TV shows and movies always seem to have multiple layers; as a kid, I watched Star Trek and liked it because of the ships and flashy beams. As a teenager, I liked it because of the characters' personalities. As an adult, I like it because of the interactions between the characters, the subtexts, and the overarching themes. Nugget in a Biscuit, in comparison... was never anything more than just a nugget in a biscuit.

Nah, the fall of Tobuscus didn’t start with the allegations. It ENDED with the allegations. Toby got caught up on creating books and mobile games and started to upload WAY less content. By the time the allegations were public, Toby had already lost most of his viewers.

I think it would have been relevant to the video to point out, that one of his exes actually somewhat defended him.You showed Jaclyn Glenn's video as if she accused him of sexual assault as well, but she actually described how her experience with him was the opposite. If she seemed like she wasn't a 100% into it, he would lose all interest in sex. She did however confirm the drug misuse and how he was a serial cheater. Still, I think it would have been good to mention that (as far as i'm aware) only the first allegation was about sexual assault, the others mostly described him as an asshole.

And a rape allegation is extremely hard to prove when the people involved are partners or former partners. All they can do is just say it. Rape is surprisingly difficult to prove in this case because they can just claim it's consensual sex because all they can really test is if you had sex with them. He did nothing to prove his innocence. They nothing to prove he was guilty. I would look at him with suspicion but I'm not taking sides either way. I recommend you do the same.
These are just facts. When women happen to lie about rape. Do they even think about the tens of thousands of women who have actually gone through it? Is hurting one man, or anyone else, really that worth it? It's so sad, because after so many lies from so many different people, there could be so many women telling the truth, but people don't believe them. That's heartbreaking.

I cannot stress enough how much I've watched tobuscus. He was such a big part of my childhood I even got me and my mom to watch him with me so we've had so many inside jokes about him. It was very sad to see his downfall because I absolutely loved him as a child and it affected me because he was amazing. When the allegations came up I had no idea how to feel about him. And the first keemstar video I've seen was that of what you were talking about. I had no idea what to think about tobuscus anymore so I had no choice but to move on from him. I never had another UA-camr I watched as continuously as I did with him. I related to him with his fun personality and adhd because I literally have the same thing now

I stopped watching Toby waaay before these allegations even came up. I really just got bored with him and moved on. As I got older his content wasn’t as funny anymore. He was mainly for the 12 and under groups. It sucks to see Toby how he is.
I was 20 - 22 during Toby's main years (boomer alert). His content was never funny and always shit. You just see it when you're older.
The allegations stuck so hard because it made sense with more and more people seeing through his super fake persona as they got older.

It was generally loud and ridiculous yet simple; as an example, Nugget in a Biscuit was an entire song about a combination of basic foods.
Would I find that appealing now? No, because as I grew up I began to value complexity more than the raw shock of his ridiculousness. Additionally, I turned away from basic physical subjects like food and diamond swords and became more interested in philosophical themes, dark humor, and otherwise more abstract and intricate content.
I think that could be said for most people. I think one of the biggest problems with his content was that it was single-layered; there wasn't anything for the older audiences. TV shows and movies always seem to have multiple layers; as a kid, I watched Star Trek and liked it because of the ships and flashy beams. As a teenager, I liked it because of the characters' personalities. As an adult, I like it because of the interactions between the characters, the subtexts, and the overarching themes. Nugget in a Biscuit, in comparison... was never anything more than just a nugget in a biscuit.
