Won’t parent be confused by a $64 charge on their card? Or would you/ other parents overlook that. Wouldn’t some people notice then contest this? I certainly hope so but if not that’s very upsetting and extremely disturbing that Jake did this and got away with it
K Fly if they notice they have the option of contesting it but if the company is defunct there isn’t anything anyone can do. Also, many companies who also prey on children have specific policies of not refunding a charge just because a child made it. Said policies written in small print in a gigantic document you click “agree” without reading.

Merely asking an attorney for their opinion on whether to sue over 64 dollars would cost a lot more than that. The only possibility of legal action would be if someone cared enough to file a class action suit on behalf of everyone that got scammed (which won’t happen because it’s unlikely that anyone lost more than 64 bucks on this, or anywhere near enough to care that much... but then again, hating Jake Paul might be enough to drive someone there).
Aaron Muck I'm absolutely certain some of them have thought about filing, but the problem with lawsuits in the US is that they're expensive as hell even if you win. For a lot of regular people they're prohibitively expensive, meaning TONS of appropriate, worthy lawsuits just don't ever get filed because of it.
Europe's system for lawsuits is vastly superior in this way, when it comes to legitimate lawsuits. The way that LegalEagle described it about five minutes into his "John Oliver SLAPP suit" video was that the "American rule" of lawsuits is where the person filing the lawsuit pays for their lawyer whether they win or lose the suit. In contrast, the "British rule" is where the winner of the lawsuit receives their legal fees, effectively as damages, from the person they sued. So the loser pays the winner's legal fees with the British rule.

Demeanor appears to be the company that they were running the Edfluence scam through and doesn't appear to have done anything else before it was acquired by another company. It was founded by an ex-Team 10'er, so it's entirely plausible it only existed as part of this scam. It looks like a lot of VC funds from Y Combinator were involved too. Hard to say after the fact exactly what was happening with Demeanor.

My brother loves the Paul brothers. He’s like 24. It’s extremely sad because he doesn’t see through any of it. He’s like “bro Logan Paul doesn’t sell merch, he actually started a brand” and it’s really infuriating because he clearly bought it because he likes Logan Paul, not because he likes the actual clothing (it’s really unflattering, kind of hilarious looking)
@freeshavo cado there are plenty of 50 and 60 year olds studying jake paul and gaining statpoint off of their net income. Only small children like you kids would humiliate another human for watching jake or Logan paul. The kid makes millions of dollars off of other kids.
Keep in kind, statistically speaking most kids that are jake pauls age cannot get other kids to buy products. People on youtube rarely purchased anything from actual youtubers but jake paul brings revenue. Educate yourselfs , put the computer mouse down and pick up a paper book.
