So you're telling me, he never needed the Kapala? The power was in him the entire time.
It's the Kappala that gave him the confidence to be able to win though.
He also got the royal jelly from the altar, though, without which he would've been dead and that he couldn't have gotten without the kapala sacs

That was the most on edge run of Spelunky 2 from anybody I've seen so far, like 8 audible "HOLY SHIT" came out of me lol, especially that shopkeeper climbing the rope! Nice run dude.
I really agree with that ending. You and Malf are veterans of the series so naturally you've both been more interested in the secret paths because you know they're there, but sometimes it's better to get through the game and get a feel for everything new.
He has finally done it! So happy to finally see NL get a W. Now for all of the secret endings!

Casually working while listening to NL banter about whatever. Suddenly, I hear "What is spilling the tea, Alex?" Had not realized he was doing a Jeopardy bit and thought he was talking to me. I was very alarmed and confused for a moment.

you don't need the udjat eye to get to the black market or to vlad's castle, but it helps
to the black market, you can go to the background layer to hear and try to locate the black market
to vlad's castle you can just bomb down until you get to it
also compass shows the floor its on.

@@jvcmarc Never got why people don't realize it. Why else would the compass show 2 exits on 1 floor in the jungle, and why is it always on the Black market floor. Black market has 2 exits, so I'm very confused as to how no one connects those dots. Ryan, Baertaffy, none i've seen.

NL, when you went to the sunken city area when the doggo is alive, you get a royal jelly payout on the Kali altar, so you should whip twice and sacrifice.

On the drill level I've made it to Dracula by using the spike balls that drop. Just keep jumping in front of the same one and it will go all the way down, eventually. You'll hear the noise (like when you find the black Market) when it's gone far enough
This game looks so fun, and I would rather just watch people play it.
Same, I probably wouldn't play it but I watch NL and Baer almost daily
Yeah, I own the game and it's soooo difficult and frustrating
i personally find playing the game much more vindicating, although more frustrating when you die. i am much more satisfied engaging with the game when the decisions made during a run are exactly what i would do rather than making peace with whatever choices a lets player makes
I hate the dwelling so much, bit i can't stop playing. It's a problem man
I love watching NL for the comedy and Baer/Malf for actual runs.
When I play it myself, I can barely make it to the 4th Caves level, I'm just so bad at the game lol
I went to watch Malf once, and yes pogged moments all around, but I never went back to it.
Meanwhile I watch NL every time I sit down to eat. The comedic timings, and the pure entertainment, you can't rival our egg lord.
