I like the videos, but it's odd that to win the dash cam money you need a dash cam first.
Someone flipped the bird at me and That when I learned I had had to admit I had road rage. I started tailgating this guy on knight, rush hr. He did a number, he knew I tailgates him and he stopped furthest right lane going North, quick and diverted left into into oncoming traffic almost landing me into an accident with a parked car. Trust me, I learned my lesson. I’m sure that driver wasn’t satisfied that I stopped fast before hitting that parked car. I’m glad at the end we both were safe and everyone else on the road. When someone decides to flip the bird- NO ONE is EVER telling that person how to think but I-HAVE to remember I can tell myself how to think. Road rage, it’s not worth it and I was ashamed of my behaviour.
@@drampadreg1386 I totally get it. It's up to Blackboxmycar and they want to run the contest that way. Some people like buying dashcam for other people or possibly upgrading. Thanks for watching!
i wonder which one of them does not know the meaning of solid double lines in the road, is it the motorcyclist, the car behind him or both of them...
Am I the only person that watches these videos and hopes I'm not in one of the clips ? 🤣
Haha maybe one day you will :p
Just as guilty. My suv kinda blends in, but my weekend car is as obvious as it gets
I actually drive quite aggressively and secretly WANT TO be in these clips but my god the dumbasses who gets posted in these videos are just next level stupid. The accidents and near misses plus the wrong ways. Watching these compilations makes my blood boil!!!
I've been in there about 5 x
i just waiting for the day till im in here lol
Glad I found this channel, Vancouver definitely needs an entire channel dedicated to it’s terrible drivers.
Thanks for watching!
The blue Subaru moved over a lane (who cares, there was plenty of time for the biker to apply brakes and avoid the car) but the motorcyclist’s reaction was over the top and juvenile.
As a motorcyclist if you’re going to react like that every time someone does a stupid move (especially in the Lower Mainland) ...you might want to rethink your motorcycle life (and consider an anger management course).
Signed a 45 year veteran of riding street motorcycles.
He cut him off tho, really badly, id be pissed too
yea happens all the time especially in Interior BC, when I see a motorcycle, I assume they are going 70-80km/h in a 50km/h zone, so regardless of the distance, wouldn't want to risk it, it's just safer to yield to the motorcycle. I have personally seen accidents like this, and the motorcyclist didn't make it (crashes like this are almost 100% deadly).
subaru in the wrong! skipping a lane when you’re turning and not turning in to your designated lane first will go against you in a claim.
The Subaru is 100% in the wrong here. Made an illegal right turn by not turning into the immediate (curb) lane and also completely misjudged the bikes speed and distance. Most likely the jackass in the Subaru didn’t even notice the bike at all!
all bikers and cyclists think they are entitled, don't give them an inch or they'll take a mile.
Watching these videos I'm always amazed that no one uses their brakes. No matter how crazy some other driver is getting no one stops or brakes at all. Everyone just maintains speed and swerves into any open space they can find.
because they believe in the FORCE, if u are in greater speed, if u hit someone, u wont get hurt
i think thats how bad their mindset are
Do not put your license plates on the dashboard. Not only is improper display a bigger ticket than no display - it will also slice you if it flies back at you.
Typical old 3 series drivers who thought putting plate will affect their aerodynamics 😂 like they ever drive 300+. Even most performance vehicle owners don’t do that lol
5:10 the subaru driver is at fault 100%. the speed of the motorcyclle does not matter. the subaru should have waited for traffic to clear before entering the road,
not to mention, you cant just turn into the last lane, you have to turn into the first lane, then change lanes to the second, so many drivers just turn into whichever lane they want the most and they dont care that its illigal
Agreed. Subaru is at fault, although motocyclist appears to be speeding which might have made the visibility a bit harder. With that said, just because someone does something stupid doesn't give you the right to lash out like he did. His actions were a lot worse than the Subaru's; as at least the Subaru's was unintentional.
road rage and violence means 100 percent of the fault. stop defending terrorism. if this was Louisiana, that motorcyclist would have been shot.
A few weeks I stop before a crosswalk waiting for pedestrian to cross and all the cars behind me kept changing to the other lane and driving forward. The pedestrian and I just stared at each other waited like 20 seconds for them to finally cross safely smh😂
And I bet there was some car behind honking like "Why aren't they going?".
First clip - pretty sure that's the Audi Q5 that's sitting in the parking lot at our shop, in need of 2 left-side wheels, tires, wheel well liners, bumpers, and various other body parts. First story was he slid into a curb. Second story was he was at a party, got drunk, and his "friends" let him drive home. Not sure if it really was a curb, or a spike belt.
Epic username bro 😎
send these videos to ICBC im sick and tired of these drivers putting peoples lives in danger with no accountability ICBC is to be held accountable
They can't do anything only police can issue tickets and they're pretty reluctant to accept footage. Thanks for watching!
Love your long-form videos with commentary. Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoy it!
Damn... That crash @1:35 thankfully no one was waiting for a bus. The bench gets smoked.
Been driving here since 1993 when i was 16 and got my license and i swear to god i could still drive better than most of these people as a teenager... Our City is so sad and with rent prices, gas prices, insane people driving for traffic i absolutely cannot wait to move from here as Vancouver is going to suck bigtime in the future 😢😢
Love these videos keep it up great stuff! Very scary out there on the roads I am in it everyday and have dodged stupid people on numerous occasions. Every time I get into my vehicle it never ends people need to care more,, sadly it might take someone getting killed for them to actually Smarten Up!
Thanks so much!
OMG! Have driven a motorhome, motorcycle, sports car, and SUV in Vancouver over 20 years ago and am so glad I moved out of the city. Never got into an accident even with commuting 2 hrs/day for my job and going on countless driving vacations across Canada. I have a feeling I avoided accidents because I took a defensive driving course. Looks like there are a lot more impatient and bad drivers on the road now. I'll hide out in my tiny town without even one traffic light. Peaceful.
Isn’t it great to live in a tiny town with no traffic lights. Me too, stayin’ alive.
@@jillgarlick2122 A traffic jam in town is when you see another car on the road at the same time.
@@islandgal500 Mine is a little bit busier than that, but having lived in a bigger city, this is bliss, almost like going back in time to when life was easier and friendlier. Been here nearly 5 years, never going back.
cant defensive drive your way out of being rear ended in traffic or stopped at a light.
@@atodaso1668 You are right about that! I do recall being stopped and if I feel a car is still rolling toward me, I would pump my brake lights to alert them that I am not moving. No longer a concern, but glad I am out of the city now.
Now I get to see more behind the scenes drivers in Vancouver. I've seen bad drivers but I always wonder if anyone captured the moment. Love this channel now instant subscription and notifs on! I don't drive yet I take transit or someone else drives me 😢
Thanks so much!
Appears that too many people from other countries have brought their bad driving habits to Vancouver, glad I moved out in 1975 .
exactly, majority of bad driving are East Indians
9:38 Drivers aside, this particular intersection is what I would call it "trap road/intersection", and it literally is a "must go" place for ICBC road test in Richmond. I'm not surprised the driver got confused there, especially if he/she is at there the first time.
I firmly blieve that people who enter Canada needs to retake a driving exam. This is not discrimination but to ensure the safety and road standards are followed, better for everyone.
they do...
100%, middle eastern and East Indians are horrific drivers in Vancouver, it is what it is. My ex is middle eastern and he was such a dangerous driver, he always said Canadians follow the rules too much when driving. I live in an area with East Indians and they are on their phones ALOT and they never merge to the right lane on HWY 1, causing backup and traffic when theyr're driving in the passing lane.
It's obvious the Subaru driver is in the wrong it is illegal to turn and cross immediately into the left lane. They would get a ticket for that.
1:57 classic automatic driver, got my JDM Legacy damaged like that i had to fight hard for 3 months to get my car fixed. ICBC took my stuff amd was ready to auction my car without my consent too.
Drive long enough in Vancouver and you will do some crazy stupid crap too. Vancouver is a city where no one seems to care. Wait long enough at any intersection and you will see the same thing.
I normally don't like commentary over dashcam videos but you do it really well so keep up the good work!
Thanks so much!
@@vancouversworstdrivers 03:16 forgot to mention the illegal driving without number plate! how big are traffic fines in Canada say for 15km 30km speeding, no rego, no insurance?
A suggestion for US Border Patrol: Don't let anyone in the US who is featured on these clips.
Driving in Washington is hairy enough as it is!
I’m a transit user/ pedestrian due to seizures and constantly see the same idiotic move while trying to cross:
There’s a car trying to turn right (which you can on a red or any time its safe) and decides to go the second my walk signal lights up. I’m well aware of my surroundings but some folk will step out as soon as the signal’s lit..
Can only imagine how many people have been hit in that situation alone. Lately I’ve been telling those drivers off 😠
Turing right on red is the stupidest traffic rule I've ever seen.
7:10 Great comment about signage! You got the black and white rectangular sign that mandates passing to the right of the boulevard. You got the black and yellow stripy sign warning of the hazard, and directing traffic to the right of it. And you got that yellow paint all around the boulevard that sure suggests the centre line of a two way road.
(Plus, you're also obligated to turn right in to the nearest lane regardless ... )
What do you think, UA-cam? A new Canadian, or a tourist ...
New Canadian. Possibly an old Canadian (immigrant) that just never learned.
The stupid motorcyclist was at fault for punching the Subaru. There was plenty of time for him to see and slow down
Sometimes drug dealers driving delivery and using large malls will INTENTIONALLY try some weird illegal moves to see who is following them! ESPECIALLY when nothing is able to even be found and it draws attention, if being followed as counter surveillance
Interesting!

Wait wasn't the motorcyclist in the wrong for the last clip? You can't turn over a double yellow.
Yes. You can turn left over a double solid but only if you don’t hold up traffic. Someone having to slam on their brakes to avoid you is definitely holding up traffic. Darren would be the majority at fault if there was an accident there.

I used to get so stressed out driving in Vancouver.

Driving the wrong side of the road is definitely the worst. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
5:17 Both cars made illegal turns into the far lane. Law says you must turn into the closest lane, which they did not. That simple. 10:24 Illegal turn over a double solid line. I've heard this is up for debate, as some say turning into a driveway somehow makes crossing a double legal, I personally say turning over a double is illegal period.
You can enter a driveway over a double solid line as long as you don't impede the vehicles behind you. Judging by the sound of the tires there was vehicle impeding occurring.
@@Rickeoni005 The motorcycle didn't impede traffic - he was hit from behind. That's on the other driver for following too close. The other driver didn't expect the bike to stop.
The law seems to want to confuse us. On one hand - don't cross the line...on the other, cross if it's safe to do so? That makes no sense.
@@Rickeoni005 The driver behind wasn't expecting a left turning there and you can here that squeal. I also doubt the biker was signalling.
@@441meatloaf as per my post, they were impeding traffic
@@dont.beknown5622 By definition he impeded traffic if someone had to brake. The law doesn't want to confuse you it's a simple one. If someone is behind you, you aren't allow slowing down to make a turn. If no one is behind you it's okay. If someone is behind you, you can make the left if you don't slow down though.
This is why I'll never drive in Vancouver.
Another masterpiece 👌
This was a couple of days ago in Toronto. I was in my friend's car, she was driving and come up on a red light (*note this was a single-lane street, we were the first car at the stop). This red sedan came up on our right, there was barely enough room but this guy manages to squeeze through. We thought he was in a hurry to make a right turn, but you are not going to believe what happens next. As soon as he made it past us, he proceed to make a C-turn drawing the perfect parabola at the intersection and turn into the street we were just on but on the other side. Both my friend and I were shocked at the mental gymnastics of this guy.
nobody cares about toronto
2:38 the amount of cars I’ve seen do this lately but also park this way half in the street half by the curb it’s so annoying.
The worst drivers are the ones who tailgate you on highways even though you are already above the speed limit. There are no worse drivers than that in the entire world.
2:45 the jeep is at fault, but lets take a moment to reflect on how the pedestrian started crossing with like a second left on the walk timer. When turning you should always be mindful but the jeep started their turn when the light was yellow (which the suitcase guy was only a few steps into the cross walk).
The pedestrian needs to take a bit of fault here. Don't start crossing if the light is about to turn.
I moved to BC about 10 years ago. I was/am amazed at how awful some drivers are out here. I saw more odd ball accidents in 6 months of moving here then in 30 years of living in Toronto(and there are real crappy drivers in TO and out lying cities for sure). Good vids, but stresses me out..lol Cheers
most of these clips are in Richmond.....hmm..wonder why?
im sure it has nothing to do with the Chinese license's and ICBC test bribing that goes on there.
The first one with no rim is an entitled wealthy immigrant that lives life as though the rules do not apply to them. This is what happens when a province's population is 60 percent new immigrants with no regard for local customs. Period!!!
Driving in BC or anywhere else in BC took a massive down turn when photo radar was voted down. By now the province would have enough finances to install photo radar and CCTV at major problem intersections and where people take liberties with traffic. I don't live in Vancouver, my last bit of driving there I had a very bad experience, my kids and I were almost killed because someone was too slow to make a turn, an impatient drive showed up, nuff said. I swore that day that I would never ever drive in Vancouver again, that was over ten years ago and from your videos, it hasn't got any better since then.
I'm a traffic flagger in Vancouver. I've seen some absolutely mind boggling stupidity
You know what they say....."you can't fix stupid".....
In fairness, my experience is that Vancouver drivers don't actually know how four-way stops work either. It's first-in, first-out, right of way on a tie - but a lot of drivers seem to think it's just 'right of way', not realising that if that's true, no one gets to go. So it becomes 'well, I have the right of way' and random starts. Which is actually a bigger issue: Vancouver drivers, pedestrians and cyclists keep thinking their right of way beats the laws of physics, so you get an idiot at a crosswalk on their phone just walk straight out into traffic, usually without hitting the crosswalk light, expecting thousands of kilos of steel to just magically stop.
I’m just wondering when I’ll be on here 😂
1:50 certified coffee moment
People are out there for themselves only.
drivers have gotten worse in vancouver in the last 3 months
Hope everyone was ok from that accident.
I have been in a case where it was my mistake which made me so worried that should I even drive anymore? At the end I decided to not drive in rush areas such as downtown Vancouver. My suggestion is to make all left turn secure like in netherlands and many other european countries. Sometime pedestrian rushes and sometimes driver.
#2: here we have cars using cycle lanes - even ones protected by bollards - as their personal turn lanes. Also, buses that put cyclists in danger by suddenly swerving into bike lanes for no discernible reason. Can't know what happened before, but cutting off the bus seems dangerous, and not for the bus.
3:13 looks like video game right there LMAO
1:41 That bench sliding into the road is hilarious!
why? What if there was someone sitting on it?
You wouldn’t be laughing if someone was sitting on it
The only thing worse than the drivers in Vancouver are the pedestrians and cyclists who never follow any of the road rules.
The intersection right by rogers arena (Expo BLVD & Pat Quinn Way) is constantly a problem for people I use that street multiple times a day and the number of people I see going through red is crazy. If I had a dash cam I could fill I video for you 😂.
I grew up in the GTA and am in Victoria now. I've seen a few things, but nothing like in this video. Vancouver is something else....
I can't wait till our streets are walking and cycling oriented and there's a European quality public transit system. The issue with driving is that too many people do it when they absolutely shouldn't. A minority of drivers actually know what they're doing on the road, and a majority passed their test through pure luck, trial, and error. So many people in this video would benefit from a metropolis devoid of auto-dependence. Vancouver has too many cars on the street, and too many morons driving them.
Good luck on that. Some folks are truly delusional.
Vancouver driving rule: take traffic flowchart & throw it away, then drive. Do anything, anywhere, anytime.
Awesome content. As a commercial truck driver. I see it all people eating a plated meal while driving. Even a parent changing their child diaper while driving a vehicle down the roadway. More enforcement needed to take these issues off the roadways.
Thanks for watching!
5:20 - Subaru crossed lanes, and (although not abruptly) cut off the motorcyclist, so he made two errors in one manoeuvre.
Agreed, although the motorcyclist reacted terribly, my biggest annoyance is people making a turn and moving into the far lane. So many people do it I find it impedes the flow of traffic dramatically. They never signal and its so unpredictable. They pull that and then try to fly passed the person in front who made the turn correctly and then proceeds to signal to move over to the far lane. I find people pull that a lot when I am on my motorcycle. I always stay in the correct lane and signal after but since it takes me all of ~0.5 seconds to switch gears and gain some speed I am fair game to fly passed.
You must be on something 🤦♂️
Its understandable he didnt see the speeding bike rider! All black and in shadows doesnt help! Have to guess how much he slowed down before reaching the video!
hopefully he got reported to police charged and fined and had to pay compensation!
@@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307 that biker was literally driving 80 to 90 on a 50km road. A road rage like that in the states would definitely get him shot. he is lucky he is in Vancouver people can't defend themselves against property damage...
6:16 I live near here, and there are so many pedestrians hit on this section of highway. There's a lot of homeless encampments under this exit and overpass and they have a tendency to run across traffic at night

I love driving around, but i only realized how bad of driving experience it was in Vancouver after i moved away.
6:27, it is a much deeper problem. Our road are designed to have cars goes as fast as they can, but anything that isn't a private car will feel very uncomfortable to drive around these area. City bus, cyclist even pedestrian is more of after through rather than priority at most of the time.
I have to say Im happy to be in many videos! Or else, you guys aint got nothing to post on youtube. Thank me for it☺

At the 2:50 mark is why we should have mandatory stop on red for right turns! But North America prioritized driver convenience over pedestrian safety🤦🏻
something most don't realize, at 60 mph, you cover 88 ft, (27 meters) PER second, checking traffic, turning head, checking traffic takes 2-3 secs..so one can literally be 200 ft(61 meters away) potentially not even in view because of traffic, parked cars, obstructions, bend in road...if you speed on surface street with many intersections, you get what you deserve, BTW, been riding 45+ yrs, never has an accident, on the roads, dirt yes, lol, asphalt, never
that motorcyclist was driving too fast, i've seen many motorcyclists driving way too speedy and think everyone should yield for them
3:41 What amazes me, regardless of whether the blue car was slowing/stopping (perhaps for the red light eh) the twit in the grey car never even bothered to signal.
Section 169 of the Motor Vehicle Act has to be the most fundamental right-of-way law ever ...

169 A person must not move a vehicle that is stopped, standing or parked unless the movement can be made with reasonable safety and he or she first gives the appropriate signal under section 171 or 172.

Don't let the examiner suck you into an unsafe maneuver like a last second turn. You're allowed to say that you don't feel the request is safe and let them come up with something safe.
I'm always surprised when someone knows the rules of the road or is a decent driver after driving here for a while
That Subaru turned in to the wrong lane but it didn't look bad enough to justify the road rage at the lights.
Right turn into the furtherst lane by rule isn't allowed, needs to be two steps. Particularly this one isn't close to the intersection, there is an ample amount of distance too. Now I don't have the camera or later gun here to tell the speed of motorcyclist. Because of the motorbike size compare to car, if they are driving left to right in front of us, our eyeball's angular speed if much faster which makes us think they are speeding all the time.

Any one of those drivers could easily have been transposed from Toronto any day of the week.
OMG, Vancouver has the WORST drivers in the world, by far. Im from Ontario, have lived in the US, Asia, Alberta, Quebec and this city is awful. They love to drive slow in the passing lane, when you flash your lights to move over , as theyre causing traffic, they slam on their brakes instead of moving over. Majority of the time I do look at who the drivers are and majority of time they are East Indian, PLEASE when you come to Canada take a driving lesson and learn the rules of the road. Super annoying
6:46 The other hint is, why is that solid yellow line on the wrong side of me?
The red car in a rush is just a soccer mom doing her regular day chores. That’s how they drive. On a side note I had a instant karma moment. On Hwy 17. A car driving slow in the fast lane won’t let anyone by. Then when he has room to move over. He doesn’t. I go to drive around him in the travel lane. He speeds up to 120kph out of nowhere. Then 30 seconds later gets pulled over for speeding. He just doubled he speed because I was going to go around him at a reasonable speed.
5:23 that motorcycle was clearly speeding. should get a speeding ticket and a ticket for road rage
