I’ve been riding public transit for 20 years here and if you have to go to places close to the trains it’s much faster than wading thru traffic.

The motorcyclist at 40 seconds was incredibly fortunate not to end up in a body bag. Motorcyclists are just one bad driver away from death.

Thank goodness for the paved shoulder! I've had this happen to me at night and the shoulder was gravel. Thank goodness I ride a dual purpose but that was still a little faster than I'd like for gravel...

I've definitely noticed an uptick in road rage since the pandemic's second wave. I wonder if there's a correlation or if it's just me who notices.

the clip at 42 seconds with the guy going over the double yellow passing with the oncoming motorcyclist nearly gave me a heart attack. geez I just cannot believe the balls of people especially at that blind corner.
The clip at 9:13 (The smartest dumb move) - I admit I used to do something similar. Northbound Boundary left onto Vanness, there's turning lane, but no signal. Often during heavy traffic, you would need 2 or 3 cycles to make the left. I would just turn right into Telus, do a u-turn, and then go straight when Vanness got the light.
Be honest, you come here often to see if your car 🚗 is in this video. That's how bad we have so many horrible drivers that at least everyone has done a stupid thing at least once or twice.
Three rights makes a left! It kills me how many Vancouver drivers don’t know this, and that it can often be faster to go around the block than to wait for a couple cycles of a traffic light to make a left turn (Hastings Street)

I also have a theory about the smartest dumb move. Notice how there's a train going through and there aren't many cars waiting. That indicates that the train arms probably just went down so maybe that pickup is just trying to save 5-45mins
There is a theory out there that if you don't learn to drive by your early 20's, your fine motor skills never get developed with powered vehicles. Its gets worse as your age increases. learning to drive in your 40's and beyond is a disaster. My dad didn't let my mom learn to drive until she was in her 60's. 5 years of wasted driving lessons and tests, she finally hung it up. Younger drivers may be more aggressive but older drivers just do crazy sh*t like in your videos. that's how I see it.
@6:07 that's one of the areas where I think a light needs to be installed. I've had so many close calls from people who didn't yield.

Not bad, I moved to Courtenay but still homesick for all the action there.
I suggest ICBC to implement both a recourse and retest every 2 years for every Vanvcouver driver, and every 5 month for taxis drivers.

7:48 this exact same thing happened to me yesterday!!!! Except it was a roundabout and I was using it and they cut me right off. Same braking in the middle of the road and trying to 'defend his honour' because someone honked at him.

3:12 I followed a guy once, called police as he kept hitting curb and was driving in circles and then made like he was trying to loose me. Turned out it was a very old guy having a medical episode! Police even had to box him in to get him to stop!
If these drivers ever come across me, they'll be receiving more than just a honk that's for sure.

i was in hospital 3 days ago for a surgery and people were talking about your channel in the bed next to me haha. they started talking about bad drivers and the guy was like i love watching this channel

As a cyclist I use the white-lined sections on highways...tend to prefer doing so only on weekends but even then not the safest. Worst transition spot is marine turning into stewardson, gap between line and barriers like 18 inches, on a damn highway before later becoming a protected lane,. Just fix the damn lane.
Please remember that the use of a horn is Illegal on most places unless it is to prevent an accident. 2.4 A person must not use or operate a horn or other warning device on a motor vehicle for any purpose other than as an audible warning incidental to the safe operation of the motor vehicle.
Honestly I respect the guy that pulled the U-turn at the snowball kids. Probably didn't even have to say anything to put the fear of God into them. I've been that kid before, having that happen probably would have stopped young me from doing some dumb stuff.
I remember throwing snowballs at cars with my friends, one guy stopped and got out and we just kept throwing. He turned around and got back into his car hahaha

As you can plainly see in this video, Alcohol and Fentanyl do not mix, and a car is not a safe injection site! That or people are driving with a bad concussion. Another thing I would love to see is people using co2 or nitrogen in their tires, since most don't' check the pressure often enough, and a s table molecule is better than air any day and lasts longer.
People are dumb in roundabouts and four way stop signs. 🤦🤦

4:05 Bad signalling yes but for the rest kind of give a pass. fyi the signage and road design there sucks. Had they come from Sea Island Way the area they originally merged in is about the area they would have had to merge (no way to likely get behind that vehicle). If they didn't know where they were going the Vancouver sign seen in the video is the first indication that you have to be over in that lane (the prior signage doesn't specify). It can be confusing for first time drivers of that area.

Re your probably-impaired drivers. Go hands free and call 911 - police are generally pretty quick to check them out. My friend called in and the police later followed up and let her know the driver hit several parked a couple of blocks later

edit: think it makes sense. An ambulance may be in a rush to save a patient with medical emergency. It's only reasonable that they get priority right of way.

Dont make vids for the sake of taking up time. The jaywalker was an animal( likely a deer). There's no telling what they will do. They are really hard to see at night. Usually you see there eyes first, by then its probably too late. Came up on 3(2 adults and a juvenile) at night on the open road. Slowed right down to drive between them as the adults were on the right and the juvinile was on the left. At the absolute last second the juvenile tried to cross to the right. Smashed the grille and everything behind it but never broke a headlight. On the "wandering idiots" probably texting, or otherwise incapacitated
