Jimmy Page just turned 80 on Jan. 9th. He's still handsome and is very distinguished looking. I saw LZ in 1970. This past July I saw Robert with Alison Krauss. He's still going strong. And thankfully, so am I. 😅 We are blessed to still have them here to enjoy. A lot of them didn't make it.
@@juliemanarin4127 Happy belated B-day, fellow Capricorn! Mine's comin up next week, GAH! I've realized just recently just from seeing the news that SO many great musicians were not only Capricorns, but born in January!. Rod Stewart, Bowie, Eddie Vedder, Dave Grohl, obviously JPJ and Jimmy, Michael Stipe, Mick Taylor, even Dolly Parton--and more! Party On!😎🤘
This concert took place at the Sydney Fairgrounds in Australia. It set an attendance record that I think still stands today more than 50 years ago. Let that sink in for a minute.
Keep in mind that Jimmy Page birthday was this past 1/9 and he turned 80years old!! this gives you a perspective on this era of music Led Zepplin is timeless!!
This live version is actually close to a minute longer than the album cut. Jimmy added a little extra guitar at the end for this live performance. There are so many my favorite is "Kashmir". There's 2 great versions one from '75, when the album came out, and one from '06 with Jason Bonham on drums.
John Bonham on drums is absolutely amazing. His beats really gave Zeppelin a huge sound. One of the greatest drummers ever. And the mandatory rock God crotch shot, lol.
The second concert I went to was Led Zeppelin in January 1975. Loved them ever since. As for my favorite Zeppelin song, it changes like the weather. Today it’s ‘Babe I’m Gonna Leave You’, last week it was ‘Bring It On Home’ and tomorrow it may be ‘No Quarter’ or ‘In My Time Of Dying’. I’m just an old, long-haired stoner that loves rock, blues and funk music. 👽
Back in the day, radio pretty much refused to play anything longer than 3 minutes. But bands like this caused that to change and FM radio took over and started playing all the stuff our parents didn't want us to hear. A pretty common joke was that when the DJ put a long song on meant he was in the bathroom..........
Awesome reaction, Olavity! 💜 I'm gonna put my next vote in for In My Time Of Dying, live in 1975 from Earls Court. It's a lot longer song and I'm POSITIVE you will love it. God bless ❣
Hey sweet girl. Man you are nailing these reactions it's so cool to see you interested in this. And I would say man I sure do love me some John Bonham on the drums. He played with Precision but he also played with Force
This has been used in several movies! Wait until you hear all their songs...you won't be able to choose a favorite...just like I cant! Try Ten Years Gone...The Rain Song...Ramble On...oh God so many!!
Yeah. One of their top songs for me, it was such a rush hearing this on the radio for the first time when released. Zeppelin rules! You need to hear Hertbreaker and Dazed and Confused, some of, their best riffs for me. Enjoy my dear! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
U said u wished this had lasted longer. If you want a nice, long one, "In my time of dying" from 1975 Earl's Court is over ten minutes, and the slow build-up at first has some of Robert's most charismatic moments ever, imo. "The Ocean," which u may have seen the "ad" for on the screen at the end of "Immigrant," is only 5 or so minutes, but it is super fun-n-funky, a very "feelgood" song! Your reaction/comments about the "zooming cameraman showing no mercy" were hilarious, haha! In "The Ocean," he shows Zero Mercy, lol!
You should do an acoustic. Going To California from Earls Court 1975. And their first filmed performance from Danmark TV back in 1969. Try Babe Im Gonna Leave You from that show ✌️
Frankly, I think BIGLY studio is quite a bit better, cos it showcases Robert's voice that much better, and Jimmy's Spanish-style guitar picking, but yeah, it's a great one all the same, and I can't rec. enough she check out Going to California from EC, or even That's The Way!
This song was used in 2 movies you might be familiar with, School of Rock and Thor Ragnarok. It was also used in a Shrek episode. Based on your comments about long hair, Jimmy Page, and ending the song with a guitar solo, I'm going to suggest a song for a future reaction. It's called I Can't Quit You Babe (Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1970) Official Video. It is a great song, ends in a fabulous guitar solo preceded by a great John Bonham drum solo, Jimmy had very long hair at the time, they were all very young and looked different, and you will definitely love Robert in this performance. In a nutshell it is a classic early led Zeppelin performance, which are different from what you have seen so far. Great reaction and it's always a joy for us early Led Zeppelin fans to watch someone from your generation enjoy Led Zeppelin so much.
Special thanks to Jimmy for putting this together. Not the best quality, but it came from stage hands filming with 8mm, the audio is actually from a different concert. Jimmy pieced this together from their archives.
Become monday 69 years and had musically the best period in my life. Great bands between the sixties and eighties. Led Zeppelin was one of them. About the song Kashmir, Puff Daddy used it also in the movie Godzilla. Puff Daddy ft. Jimmy Page :: Come With Me. Good to see younger people discover the old period of rock.
Looking at the crowd shows a lot of people in attendance. Led Zeppelin always played the sold-out shows! In 1979 Led Zeppelin's performance at the Knebworth Festival had around 200,000 concertgoers in attendance. That's a lot of people all gathered in one place at one time to see a concert! Their shows sold out quickly. There were usually a lot of people who sadly missed out, when tickets were no longer available, due to being sold out. I was fortunate enough to get to see them perform about five songs off of every Led Zeppelin album, live. Robert Plant's voice seemed even better live than on any recording I've ever heard of him.
The Rain Song is a popular slower song by Led Zeppelin. Also Thank You by Led Zep and No Quarter. All 3 songs slower featuring Robert's soulful vocals. Think you will Enjoy very m uch! LZ🎤 🎸 🥁 🎶 🎵
I love how you have a crush on Robert and find the rest of the band easy on the eyes as well. Plus loving their talent and the way they play. They are a really talented band with so much different kinds of songs from acoustic to hard rock to blues to songs about English myths, ect. They were very intelligent songwriters and the band was actually the GOATs of each instrument they played and Robert is seen as the best or second best (he goes back and forth) with Freddie Mercury of Queen. for vocalist. they were really a very gifted band. One I think you might enjoy is s very early Zeppelin from right after they became a group and that is You Shook Me. There is a good live video of it. Also Trampled Underfoot and the Ocean and Misty Mountain Hop. And when the Levee Breaks is a must.
Hi Olavity. You will love Black Dog Live on Celebration Day. It has the best facial images of Robert Plant you could wish for. I'm 71 and each time I watch these guys it's like the first time for you. Welcome to LZ addiction!
So many songs, how to choose and where to start??? Their catalogue of songs is so diverse, so many different styles. Since you seem to be crushing a bit on Robert and Jimmy, maybe check the live version of Going To California. Very different style of song relative to what you've heard from them so far, and you get to see them up close without all the, hmmm, how shall I say it? Without all the really close up shots of Robert's jeans/belt region 😁
Hey Olavity, there are several You Tube videos where Robert Plant talks about his meeting of Elvis back in the 70s. You should check them out. Thanks for your reaction of this legendary song. Looking forward to your next reaction.
My suggestion would be ,The Song Remains the Same/ The Rain song. Live from 1973 Madison Square Garden. Or, In my time of Dying. Live from Earls Court.
Try some music by YES one of the greatest progressive rock groups of all time. You haven't reacted to them at all. Some good ones include "Roundabout", "Close to the Edge", "The Gates of Delirium". "Awaken", "Turn of the Century"... Loads of good ones.
Another great reaction from you, lovely Olavity! ❤ You would have reveled in this era, had you been born about 50 years earlier. I'm glad that technology is able to introduce you to these legends. I think it is going to permit even better reproduction of these old clips in terms of sound and video as the years move on. 😊
Hi Ola, I'm losing track of all the musicians you're in love with! 😊 You may have heard this, but after the death of the drummer John Bonham, Led Zeppelin disbanded rather than try and replace him.
"Seriously what is he zooming, the the camera man like what is he zooming exactly like. Have mercy on us please" says Olavity Music (as she rewinds for another look to see what he is zooming).
There is a live version of "In My Time Of Dying" that would be awesome - but there are different versions floating around. The absolute best one where they are all absolutely on POINT is on a UA-cam page called CASH HENDRIX. The live version on that page is the one you want. It's a stunner and 100 times better than the studio version. Would also recommend the studio versions of Bron Yr Aur Stomp, Going to California, and That's The Way
Hello, new subscriber, been watching all your reaction to the most beautiful bands ever, hope you react to Echoes in Pompeii Pink Floyd. By the way this song the bass and drums it's high level, cheers from Texas 😊
As you continue your journey through rock you'll come across famous rock 'screams' - this is one of them. Also check out The Who for some great music (and screams).
Jimi page is a true legend. I know what I'm gunna say will get a lot of criticism, but I prefer him to Jimi Hendrix. slash is my all time greatest player bar none. true class. honest playing with no gimmicks or tremelo bars, just him and his trusty les paul, which is also the greatest guitar ever made. I love starts, but there's something about the Gibson. the double twin humbuckers still take some beating for sound quality. even today. I know there a technically more advanced guitars, but there's something about the les paul that makes it the best.🎉
I've always loved this song...but this video of this song, which I've never seen before... actually hurts me. Way too many quick jump cuts. Just keep the camera on 1 spot for a little while, please. Always love your reactions. It's fantastic that you are truly enjoying discovering all these great songs and great bands. It warms my heart to see you enjoy this.
Hi Olavity...if ya really want a very good close up look at your **New Luv Robert Plant** then def check out **Going To California** & **That's The Way** OH & also a very cutie fun one called **Bron-Y-Aur Stomp** ya will def fall more madly in **Luv** with **Plant** & i can see **MyBeautifulJimmyPageMagicalMysticalGeniusWizardBabe** too heh YAY **PixieHugz&LuvzALL**

still hard to accept that we lost Jimmy's longtime friend Jeff Beck just over a year ago .. RIP to all who we wish were still here ..
Page & Plant have always exuded sexy, & it’s there, though I miss their & my younger version.
This song was written after going to Iceland, & is about Vikings.
This concert took place at the Sydney Fairgrounds in Australia. It set an attendance record that I think still stands today more than 50 years ago. Let that sink in for a minute.
Including Metallica in Moscow?? I kinda doubt it. (and don't get me wrong - Metallica doesn't compare to Zep)
Keep in mind that Jimmy Page birthday was this past 1/9 and he turned 80years old!! this gives you a perspective on this era of music Led Zepplin is timeless!!
Led Zeppelin - "Trampled Underfoot" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
YESSSS
This live version is actually close to a minute longer than the album cut.
Jimmy added a little extra guitar at the end for this live performance.
There are so many my favorite is "Kashmir". There's 2 great versions one from '75, when the album came out, and one from '06 with Jason Bonham on drums.
The film footage is from Australia, but the sound is from a concert at The Forum (near Los Angeles).

I always liked the album Led Zeppelin 11. You would like the track The Lemon Song 🎵 😂
This has been used in several movies! Wait until you hear all their songs...you won't be able to choose a favorite...just like I cant! Try Ten Years Gone...The Rain Song...Ramble On...oh God so many!!
Ten years gone from the bootleg at the LA Forum 1977 is a good one.
Dazed and confused live 1973...you will love it
Yeah. One of their top songs for me, it was such a rush hearing this on the radio for the first time when released. Zeppelin rules! You need to hear Hertbreaker and Dazed and Confused, some of, their best riffs for me. Enjoy my dear! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶

The Lemon Song
It's so hard to choose a favorite Zeppelin song but mine is The Rain Song.
Gotta be coupled with The Song Remains the Same from Madison Square Garden in 1973.
Yes the version from Madison Square Gardens 1973.

back then you could see great bands like this in odd places - open air - daytime shows - love that great summertime vibe ..

How can you choose your favourite before you listen to this one? I have the 45 of Immigrant Song. Good reaction.
Rock GODS!
Hi Ola, I'm losing track of all the musicians you're in love with! 😊
You may have heard this, but after the death of the drummer John Bonham, Led Zeppelin disbanded rather than try and replace him.
Took me a long time to learn this was about The Vikings.
Yes, the only thing wrong with this song is that is to short!
Asked if Robert had any advice for Led Zeppelin tribute band lead singers he said "Dress it to the Right"
led zep - when the levee breaks
"Seriously what is he zooming, the the camera man like what is he zooming exactly like. Have mercy on us please" says Olavity Music (as she rewinds for another look to see what he is zooming).

Do you have Bron-Y-Aur Stomp on your list?
52 years ago. Are you freaking kidding me? Those jeans…
Typical for LZ: guitar and drums playing duetto. Bonzo was great.
I saw Robert in 1988 he is sexy😂❤
Break out the led
Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple the holy triad of rock music🤘
