Carson was in the spotlight for the monologue- then spent the rest of the show in a supporting role to make his guests look good. I never watch Fallon because he has to perform with musical guests, try to top his comedic guests and laffs at everrything
Sad to know someone thinks Michael Caine is best known for bit supporting roles in his 70s in Batman movies and Interstellar. Goodbye Alfie, Zulu, Ipcress File, Hannah and her Sisters, Italian Job, Get Carter, Sleuth, Man who would be King, Eagle has Landed, A bridge too Far, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Cider House Rules, Quiet American.
the reason thats the case is just that he was able to prolong his career, if he didnt have big roles after his original fame he probably wouldnt be known by younger people much al all, and be known to older people for what they know him from alreayd
True story: On December 7, 1992, one month after he lost reelection, George and Barbara Bush invited Dena Carvey to entertain The White House staff as a surprise. They literally announced him as the president of the United States and he walked into the room and then the actual president and First Lady kind of stepped in quietly a minute later. Then he started doing his impression of President Bush right in front of the president and the staff and they all just had such a great laugh! Such humility how many and kindness.
I voted for Ross Perot . Well he lost and then we see how a person who is not a career politician Pn can really screw things up. tRump in the White House with no understanding of how government works was like asking a quarterback to pitch a baseball World Series game just cuz he can throw .

The best one is in Master of Disguise when he goes into scarface al pacino impression, "Are you choking or not choking, i gotta know..." From start to end that scene was one of the funniest impressions if not the best I have ever seen., "gotta dance".
i remember first seeing Carvey showing up on Nickelodeon in the early 80s time to time, just playing a piano, singing these funny little songs. can't remember what the show was called, maybe just some random variety show they were doing back then, comedy stuff. think maybe they had him do the same stuff on MTV too. this was all long b4 SNL, or Wayne's World.
Thanks for the vid. My fav was what you called the "Al Pacino Impression". But, Carvey wasn't actually doing Pacino. He was doing Scarface, one of Pacino's characters. Fantastic impression and facial expression, but not even close to Pacino's character in Scent of a Woman.
Dana Carvey is a delight. An absolute DELIGHT. Every single one is good. Most are fabulous. Everyone has their favorites. I like his Trump because Trump is such a laughing stock of a person. His McCartney and Dennis Miller probably aren't as popular but I LOVE those. Of course, his BUSH SR. is spot-on. His Johnny Carson is spot-on. His Tom Brokaw is spot-on. I most certainly look forward to seeing him live with friends. Yes, THANK YOU Dana Carvey.
I walked by him in a liquor store in L A. I was star struck and said his name he replied yep that's the name. And asked how was it going. All I could answer was I admire your work. And he said thanks.
I met Dana Carvey once in Malibu. Apparently i turned around so many times to see him he got up and switched seats with his wife so his back was to mine. I saw him on Conan a couple nights later and he mentioned somebody at a restaurant that irritated him recently. I’m pretty sure it was me. Yay for me.
George h w bush is my favorite of his impressions and bush impression is like am homage to his bush cause in a way it’s like me doing Dana doing George h w bush
Dana's impression of McCartney talking to the ghost of Lennon is wonderful
His Ross Perot is spot on and should have been on this list!

Michael Caine impression is amazing.
Wish I could see more of Dana Carvey... I always liked him.. Nice to find this
Check out the fly on the wall podcast he does with David Spade.
@@MegaByrds ok. Cool. The fly on the wall... will do. Thanks
We have a DVD : SNL The Best of Dana Carvey. It's great. Stand-up. I believe there are 2 DVD's. Get those or watch them
It’s very annoying when a host starts to do the same impression the guest is doing.
Yes, Fallon likes to do that.
It'd annoying hearing about annoying, now I'm annoyed, WOW
Agreed
Can't stand Fallon
Carson was in the spotlight for the monologue- then spent the rest of the show in a supporting role to make his guests look good. I never watch Fallon because he has to perform with musical guests, try to top his comedic guests and laffs at everrything
He isn't doing an Al Pacino, he's specifically doing a Tony Montana (as played by Al Pacino). His Paul McCartney is freakin amazing!
Agree with you. He doesn't quite get Al Pacino right.

Man who would be king, is the first flick I saw with him and Connery. Underrated duuuude
The Ipcress File.

Dana is so ridiculously talented!
Regis! Aw man
His impression of Ross Perot belongs in the top 10.
Actually it was pretty good as Ross Perot and that should’ve been in your top 10.
George Bush is always my favorite Dana Carvey impression.
I saw George Bush do an impression of Dana Carvey doing George Bush!

What Rich Little was to the 70’s Dana is to today, just the best impressionist bar none. His Paul McCartney is absolute gold.
My favorite was ALL of them! He always kills me with laughter.
He does a spot on Regis Philbin!
Dana’s best impression is of #8 Matt Oakes. Matt is my favorite member of the Beatles.
Dana on Seinfeld's - Comedians in cars getting coffee - doing Jimmy Stewart 😂
Doesn't need annoying narration.
People never fkn realize that
Al Pacino was bang on
He even got the mouth right 💥🤣🤣
His Al Pacino is brilliant.
Dana Carvey is the best!!!
Omg the Al Pacino one had me in tears.
Michael Caine is not best know for the dark knight and interstellar. His career is monumental, please.
I concur
I endorse this message.
For real though. Even the Prestige would've been better to mention.
@@LinuxIsBetter43 The Prestige, fantastic movie. Scarlett, Piper, Christian, Hugh, Michael & the entire cast.
It’s obviously Cars 2
the dennis miller impression was spot on.. I lost it!
Church lady👏🏼.
Church lady is not an impression, it's a character. Completely different type of comedy.
I thought he was impersonating my 5th grade teacher Sister Gregory
My favorite one wasn't on the list. It's Ross Perot
Oh man, we’ll have to look into Dana’s Ross Perot impression!

You gotta love him. Love his Joe Bidden
Absolutely remarkable comedic talent. They're all good!

Yeah, it's unnecessary and annoying.
But how else will we know who Paul McCartney is? 😟
LOVE Dana Carvey! Thanks for this vid
That Al Pacino impression is really funny
Pass the sweet potatoes. 🍠🤣
OMG 😂😂
You should see the pachino one from Master of Disguise.
One of his Jimmy Stewart bits almost had me choking.
So many great British impressions!!
His Dennis Miller. His Tom Brokaw. His Paul McCartney. And, his Regis too.
Carvey is Legendary for his impressions. 😂😂😂😂
They were ALL my favorites ….
He’s the funniest impressionist around!
Number 8 says Matt Oakes. Who is that? Number 8 should be Paul McCartney.
Thanks for keeping us laughing DC!

I'm a Beatle nut so I enjoy his impression of Paul McCartney.

Hans and Franz and Casey Kasem to add, changed my mine all of the impressions are great. Thanks on sharing and reading other comments.
I loved his Al Pacino. Best impression I have seen was Edward Norton "doing" Robert de Niro.
His George bush Sr impression is my favorite going all the way back to SNL skits over 30 years ago. They're hilarious 🤣
I liked his Ross Perot impersonation. Can I finish, can if finish.....CAN I FINISH?!
I was amazed by his conversation between Paul McCartney and John Lennon about Trump. It was incredible how well he nailed it!
His Scarface Pacino and H.W. Bush are brilliant. Not adding Ross Perot was a mistake.
All are fantastic as he is such a talent. Hard to pic one.

Great impersonations by Dana Carvy!
His best impression is Jimmy Stewart!
This guy is amazing! Paul Mc Cartney was under the best ones LOL
Colbert looked worried that Dana was going to have too much fun with Joe.
As a Brit, that McCartney impression is spot on
They are all great and he does a lot more
Always spot on
Saw him do his Scarface impression where he’s at the thanksgiving table saying, “Why don’t you pass me a bowl of fuck.”
My favorite was when he did John Bolton on Colbert I think. It’s when his mustache keeps getting bigger. That one made me laugh until I cried.
How can you pick just one! He is amazing!
His impression of Keith Richards made me Crack up. Keith Richards makes me laugh.
His Paul McCartney was incredible!
Jimmy Stewart as a waiter 😅😅😅

Dana Carvey is an American treasure!
He is hilarious & did a great job as 'W' but my favorite as George W is Will Farrel. I will always love Dana Carvey as George Sr. & the Church Lady.
#2 Al Pacino was spectacular!
He does English better than American. Paul and Michael were amazing.
Carvey is a genius.
Loved his Ross Perot!
Id love to see Dana and Rich Little have a conversation as other people. Perhaps as Chump & Nixon, Rich Little does a great Nixon Impression.
