Half the fun of it is the thought that it is an order wrapped in an opportunity to impress the big man, sprinkled with his confidence in you to fulfill the task that was given to you - Employee Motivation 101. 😅
And John Malkovich is such a fan of his, and he’s a good sport in real life, despite people trying to paint him as pretentious when really he’s actually a lot more in tune with the people who watch his movies than other big stars. Like, a LOT more. The things about ordinary people that he mentions in interviews, he seems almost obsessed with not being rich and famous, in a way. Of course, nobody would trade all of that to be a pauper, but he’s not oblivious, he’s actually very self-aware. He empathizes with normal people, also with less well-known stars, and appreciates thoughtful humor which can take effort to supplement the edge of naturally funny guys like Bill.
@@jamesedwards4590 any presumption of Malkovich's pretentiousness went out the window when I saw 'Burn After Reading' His character is so absurd and it's so fun to watch him.
I didn’t realize just how good Conan was until I watched a number of his clips on YT. Kimmel and Fallon were just pretenders while Conan was the Real Deal.
He actually morphs into Arnie and Pacino , when he impersonates them . His Alan Alda , Eastwood and Malkovich are impressive too . Great talent , so funny , can't get enough of him
No because the Malkovich is SO good. And often impressions don't sound quite accurate when they're done in front of the impersonatee but this was just dead on
The best Alan Alda and honestly the most spot on voice impression I've ever heard is Peter Serafinowicz on Running Wilde. He does a perfect Alan Alda impersonation. I was convinced thay had Alan Alda dub his lines it was so perfect. The episode was episode 5 at 18:44
The John Malkovich impression will forever be my favorite impression, especially my favorite impression ever done in front of the person they are impersonating, though Jamie Foxx doing Denzel in front of Denzel is a close second
It's interesting watching him shift back and forth from being the person he's imitating back to himself. His impersonations are very focused on the way the person holds and expresses themselves.
I'll never forget when I found out he was a writer/voice actor for South Park. It was when they did the special 6 days to South Park. I was blown away. He is so talented and hilarious! His Stefan bits on SNL are comedy royalty....Dan Cortez 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Dennis Murphy is my favorite, and if the gut laughs he couldn't control before breaking into the impersonation are any indicator, I think it's his favorite, too .
I could listen to Bill tell stories for hours. Honestly if they made a show that was just Bill telling Hollywood stories and stories about his life I would watch it non stop
I love how with majority of the impressions the audience just laughs, but with Seth Rogen people are more shocked like "wow", since Seth is such a weird person for someone to be able to impersonate
Jesus christ, I laughed at all of them, but hearing him spit out "2 twos is 4. Four 4's is eight" at conans face, and hearing his reaction was the best one! I was in tears 🤣😂
Thats so fucking cool that Pennywise’s actor could on the fly do the “eyeball thing”. The IT remake was brilliant, Hader nailed his role as Richie. But frankly, so did everyone else. One of the best horror films to come out in the past decade.
One thing Bill has shown me is how many people sound a like. Not his impressions make them because of his voice, but rather regardless of mannerisms some peoples’ voices are similar. I never noticed it until i saw one guy do different people
I have to have heard the “show me your leadership capabilities” story like 10 different times now, and it still cracks me up lol
It’s impossible not to laugh
Half the fun of it is the thought that it is an order wrapped in an opportunity to impress the big man, sprinkled with his confidence in you to fulfill the task that was given to you - Employee Motivation 101. 😅
true

It’s just such an Arnold thing to say

The fact that the majority of these clips are from Conan speaks volumes of the respect those two legends have for each other.
It goes like this. Carson... Letterman....Conan. the greatest to ever do it
Conan was also the writer for SNL and the Simpsons for a long time.
@Christopher Sellers A writer. Conan was A writer for the Simpsons and SNL
Conan gets the best out of EVERYONE. And for good reason.
I didn’t realize just how good Conan was until I watched a number of his clips on YT.

Lest we not forget Jay Pharoah
Jaime Foxx has to be in that list.
Fred Armisen too

I think the same.
His "boy" sounds like DDL.
I usually dislike comedians who 'pre-laugh' their jokes or whatever, but Bill is so genuine and clearly just loves what he does that I love it!
It’s awesome when he loses his shit right before the Dennis Murphy story. I love seeing happiness like that in people 😆

Just amazing how Hader captures the vocal mannerisms, intonations, pitch. Scary talent.

Doing John Malkovich in front of John Malkovich is pretty boss. Just hilarious. Outstanding Arnold too.
He sounded JUST LIKE SETH ROGAN. EXACTLY LIKE HIM. HAHAHA

Shut your mouth, that’s how.
I think part of it is just his joy... he's laughing as hard as we are.
You know when someone is truly talented, when they do impressions of people you don't know, and you still laugh.
Yes!! I had NO reference for Dennis Murphy really and yet I was DYING!! 🤣
Bill Hader's Al Pacino impression is legendary.
Lorne name-dropping serial killers is the funniest bit.
You’d never thought looking at bill that he could do such a great Arnold, malkovich and Pacino accent.
Bill Hader is one of those people who I feel is universally loved. If I could have dinner with any celebrity, it would probably be him
Agree! His voice and mannerisms remind me so much of my brother, who is hilarious, that I feel like I know him.
Bill's take on Dateline reporters is sooo accurate! Bill Hader is one of the most underrated actors ever. I love him.
Smoking kush and listening to the newest future albums lols turned to wtfs
The Malkovich, Schwarzenegger, and Conan impressions never get old. Have watched so many times and will watch many times more.
His Al Pacino impression is the best Pacino's impression I've ever seen

Alec Baldwin does the best.

Hader definitely doesn't get the credit he deserves. The more I see of him the more I see how great he is
He even nailed Arnold's Styrian dialect
This dude never disappoints when he is on stage 👍🏾
I’ve never even heard Loren Michaels speak, only impressions of him done by SNL members, but they’re still hilarious
I like that the compilation of Bill Hader's best impressions is the exact same list as the compilation of all of Bill Hader's impressions.
